Bitcointalk currently loads extremely slow for me. Anyone else encountering this? Whenever i use a third party to check the response time, it's usually ~300ms. That can't be normal right? This topic for example, with only 39 replies took me 10-15 seconds to load..? Any fix to this? It's quite annoying when you're just scrolling/reading through threads. I think this forum is under some kind of attack right now... I think Quickseller was given some coin to attack the forum, so we know it's not him doing it...

is it coincidence?
Nope. It's quite obvious that they're merit farming between one another (or rather his/her alt accounts). Almost all of them, have sent some merits to another account from the list (there's a pattern).
The time in which the events folded, shows a clear path that more accounts are involved (if you look deeper). The tough part is proving they are the same account. Then we can leave negative feedback. It was established from almost the first day that sending merits to your friends happens, and can't be controlled.

Merits sent between 2 and 3 minutes
is it coincidence?
Could be a coincidence...

I've pmed some managers to hide the column, some of them did and some of them not.
I would like to know which managers decided not to hide the email addresses...

You have no idea what's coming.... seriously.
What, are you going to try to extort me too? Or are you going to leave that to lauda? I don't pay extortion demands, sorry. Extortion is OK when you do it, right Quickseller? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

Bumping since Quickseller continues to accuse others of wrongdoing, while holding onto stolen coins himself. :/
Let's try and keep this on topic please.

Nicely done. Can you auto detect our location?

Nicely done sir. I have scratched your back with some merit, now please scratch mine with a lifetime membership to every porn site in the world. (Note: Quickseller, this is a joke and should not be construed as selling merit)

I propose here to discuss the objectives and the results of Merit. Why I touched on this question. I and many new users are faced with the fact that for promotion you need to somehow get Merit. I began to read a lot about this and ask people about how they got Merit. I was touched by the fact that many newcomers tend to buy Merit, and do not deserve it from other users, offering quality posts. I learned the situation about buying Merit, and easily found willing to sell me Merit at a price of $ 28 for 1. I can afford to buy, but this is against the worthy goal of "Merit". Merit is more than money! As you see Merit, I did not buy it!
Good for you. You've taken the first steps to becoming a citizen by not breaking the law. The next step is to report those accounts that offered to sell it to you... :/

Could we have an encryption subforum in which we can discuss things like dm-crypt, LUKS, Veracrypt, different hashing algorithms, different encryption algorithms (simple, cascaded...), plausible deniability, PGP... and other schemes, something which I find to be an interesting topic and is somewhat related to Bitcoin but sometimes too meta to post in the development section of Bitcoin? For example I wanted to talk about encryption algos here and plausible deniability to protect against IRL thieves but this thread got pushed into off-topic which I think it's unfair, now in the off-topic section it will get buried with other unrelated threads. The idea would be to have a section similar to the one in wilderssecurity forum but in here to talk with other Bitcoin fellows, I think good topics could arise and would bring more traffic to the site too. Probably not enough traffic for a dedicated forum. Just post it in "Serious Discussion". ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

YO Bitcointalk! Kindly watch this video I have made for new users.
YO. Please move to the Beginners and New Users section! (Control at lower left)
|
|

Sounds like a good idea, then maybe we can delete any new merit threads. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Seems the trend is for everyone to start a merit contest in the hopes of getting more merit themselves....
|
|
|
This seems to be the new way to beg for merits.
I've put you on ignore.
Agreed. Each clown thinks they need their own special thread about merit.
|
|
|
So how many posts do I need to make in order to be "promoted" to junior?
Who did you bribe? ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

How does this affect the forum?
I think you can probably move this (control at lower left) to a better area...

I actually know that, but my objective here is not to usurpate the grade that I don't have, I only want to be able to launch a business which will change my whole life. If I had enought cryptos in an amount equal to 10k, I will not open a thread to ask people a loan, I want to be honest, and I think that it begins by using my own account, not buying one..
So your intention is to get more coin than you can collateralize? As a newbie with no posts?

I don't know what i need to do. How can I get Merit? Can someone tell me? I know you can help people, answer their questions, or just keep them talking. Need to do something else? Thanks in advance for the help, guys. ![Kiss](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/kiss.gif) There is a control at the lower left that says "Move Topic". You can move this to Beginners and Help. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

unlike evolutionists that deny to read anything critical against evolution.
Anything critical against evolution is usually a circular argument. Example: We know the world was created in six days because it says so in the bible.

I have 1 BTC that I can give you as collateral
With that collateral, you can probably only get a loan of $6,000US or less, with the way the price has been falling. :/

Thank you, I've tried the search function in the forum but I have not been successful with my searches. Thanks for the tip about googleing things instead.
To search things just on this forum, type a query like the following: (the site:bitcointalk.org limits results to just this site) quickseller kill himself vod site:bitcointalk.org
