U.S. Mail. Old school technology with old school legal protection.  Cool
Govt tracks and maintains records of every parcel, its origin and destination.
True. But reading your mail is harder for the gov than say Internet traffic. The laws regarding mail are from a time when we had more protection from spying. I think it is still true that a letter is much more secure than an email. Similar to the difference between tapping a phone line vs. an Internet connection.  But who knows what the government is up to now. Roll Eyes

I think it's worth mentioning that intelligent design is in no way a science. It is a religion. It starts with an answer,  then looks for ways to support the answer that must be true. In science you start with a question and go where the answer takes you. Even if it contradicts your beliefs.

It's not even that intelligent of a design!

If there's intelligence behind this, then it intentionally saw fit to have a solid 95 percent of us tortured in a variety of fun different ways. Hitler, nukes on Japan, centuries of people being tortured for different reasons. Poverty, hunger, and absolute crap!

Meanwhile the same intelligence decided that a very small percentage of it's pets are special, and worthy of having everything they ever may have wanted out of life.

If there's some kind of intelligent god that had control over everything, isn't it arguably a giant, malevolent dick?
Yeah. God's actions makes no sense at all.
If intelligent design had any science behind it then why do I not see it published in scientific journals? Why? because the lack of evidence would quickly crush it as a theory. Unlike evolution, which has seen no contrary findings in over 150 years of research.

6486  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin taxes on: September 26, 2013, 01:40:25 PM
While advice from forum members may offer insight, you should probably consult an experienced tax attorney. At least in my local area, most attorneys will answer brief questions for free. If not, you can always visit Avvo and see what the lawyers there believe. I asked my attorney something similar some time ago and was surprised at the answer.
That is good advice. I would add that even a tax lawyer may respond to your question with "WTF are you talking about?" This is all new stuff. But whatever shakes out, you are going to owe some taxes if you sold bitcoins at a profit.

Uhm, how are you still alive?
So is father, "the great leader". In Korea, no one die. All who say no are puppet of western imperial.
6489  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin taxes on: September 25, 2013, 05:38:28 PM
No taxes. The government does no control it.

Taxes have nothing to do with control. In the US, your stance could get you arrested for tax evasion. Roll Eyes
Quite right. The government does not control hats either, but buy/sell a hat and someone is getting taxed.
6490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin could empower women on: September 25, 2013, 05:32:41 PM
Women can't work.
Women can't play sports.
Women can't use computers.
Women can't use bitcoin.

It's just a matter of time.  Wink

Lying western media claims Kim is pre-mining on his laptop. They even have  picture to prove it.  Shocked

P.S. A trackball? lol

US regulators please take note. Money, like electricity and water, follows the path of least resistance.

Finally, a coin that can bring the economic success of the DPRK to the entire world!
6496  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstamp WAS the best Bitcoin exchange, now it's not. on: September 25, 2013, 04:03:30 PM
I would prefer anonymity as well. However bitstamp is not going to operate an illegal business when they stand to get rich legally. For them this is not a "choice", it is a requirement.
6497  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MTGOX WITHDRAWALS ISSUE on: September 25, 2013, 03:31:02 PM
I can't believe the price of btc/usd on mtgox still going up, people have no clue the issues there having. Makes this painfull to have to rebuy bitcoins at a high price and sell it off at another exchange for much less.
Some of us have no interest in exchanging BTC for fiat. I want bitcoin not USD. Therefore the lack of a way to withdraw cash is not an issue. Why not just spend your bitcoins on the stuff you would buy with dollars/Euro/etc. ?

I agree, we shouldn't have interest in that, im just thinking for the mass population. I think in order to really expand bitcoin we need proper exchanges working correctly, this will provide more stability for the bitcoin community.

My withdrawal was simply to cover some cost of mining equipment I paid for long time ago when we used to mine.
I agree with you also. Exchanges should be able to go both ways. I was just attempting an answer as to why the MtGox price keeps rising, despite the lack of withdrawal options. Personally i prefer paying with bitcoin. For example I will fund my account in advance in order to pay for my VPN service. By the time I have to pay the bill the price is likely to have gone up, and I get a discount.

Maybe it's not you. This is a buyers market. Employers can pick and choose. The fact that you are getting interviews means it is probably just a matter of time.
