6501  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How to recover Blockchain.info wallet??? on: October 20, 2017, 07:24:53 PM
Hi!

Can someone help me please with the following problem:

Last year in 2016 November...I have created a BTC wallet in
Blockchain.info. I purchased BTC from a friend and he sent it to my BTC address on my newly created account.
He called me that the BTC was sent but it has never shown up on my account.

Before this...I logged out from my new wallet on my laptop and tried to
login again but I didn’t write down the wallet ID and I couldn’t login into
it again.
I think the problem was that when I created my wallet on Blockchain, I
mistyped my email address so I didn’t receive any confirmation emails
from Blockchain that contained the wallet ID for my new account.
Therefore I cannot retrieve my wallet ID. I have the password for the wallet...I also have the Bitcoin address where that BTC was sent...and the BTC is on
that account but I cannot reach it.

Please help me to retrieve my coins.

Thank you.
This is somehow hard since you do already forgot the email. You do have the 12 unique phrase given by blockchain when you are still registering since those are the keys would be your last hope on accessing that wallet again. If you forgot those keys then dont expect for you to recover or open up again that wallet. You dont have the email you dont have the keys then most likely those coins are lost completely.
6502  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase wallet query on: October 19, 2017, 02:42:00 PM
I have transferred around 0.0831 btc today from my Coinbase wallet but payment is not moving out the destination wallet.

When I check the transaction, it says "waiting for clearing" then clicked on it and found that it asks for photo identity verification of mine.

I want to know is this safe to me to share my identity proofs to them?

Checked in FAQ. it is normal, some times they require identity verification as US jurisdiction rule implemented and so on. Please explain that I am safe or not bros.
Since they do already require some documentations for your fund transfer then its up to your if you do really like to disclose your identity to them but i would say you are safe though but thinking off they do already have the information regarding about you.Usually coinbase do really make some move regarding verification once they saw an unusual stuff in your transactions. This is why i do really hate up on using exchange site because of those policies which i dont really like to give any informations regarding on my identity.
6503  Economy / Speculation / Re: This guy predicts bitcoin to be $20,000 in 2 years. What do you think? on: October 19, 2017, 02:08:52 PM
haha, the kids these days!

what OP puts in his post is a clear advertisement by a bag holder of altcoins and thinks people are too dumb enough not to figure it out.
many are like it though, they think if they hold some shitcoins like Dash and ETH and XRP they will become rich just because bitcoin price is rising they should follow! but the reality, or the ugly truth is that most of these altcons won't even exist in 2 years let alone be worth that much.
ETH to $15000 was the funniest of all the list though Grin
I was really bit amazed on listing ETH to be on $15,000. Hahaha. I do agree on the thing you did actually said on here most of those coins listed wont still be sure if it would exist on 2 years time, how much more on next 5 years? most of them are sure dead. $20k on bitcoin is too much thinking off that we did already struggling on reaching out $5k in 8 years time how much more on $20k?
6504  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I want to start cloud mining on: October 19, 2017, 12:35:39 PM
Everyone may want to invest on the newest project of cloud mining which still offer cheaper tokens ($1) right now.
You can visit their website https://icerockmining.io/ or ANN thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2196082.0 for more information.
This is a good opportunity to invest your funds due to they offer profitable investment for everyone, whether you choose to be an investor and get tripled profits of your initial capital on May or be a miner for 2 years contract.
Actually this project isnt really different among on those cloud mining that do operates as of now like genesis and hash.I cant see that if people would invest in the project would really get some tripled profits. Seriously? 2 years contract wont really still be a guarantee for you to make money but well theres still chance to be on ROI but dont expect on the excess profits.Thinking off that hash did make already a fix 1 year contract came from lifetime contract. Why? They arent profiting already. If you do talk on buying token and sold out later on then its possible though but on cloud mining then its a NO.

The ROI only happens if the currency's price increases. When mining on the cloud people are never able to recover the same amount of coins that were invested. That is what makes this investment worthless (talking about legit cloud minings). And if the coin to be mined is an AltCoin it's more dangerous, because these AltCoins are very unstable and have less guarantees of success than Bitcoin.
You said was actually right it which ROI would possible be fasten up if currency price would tend to rise up but this kind of situation is rarely to happen which means we can really presume already that we would end up on not profiting at all and i dont know why do people do still strive or decide to put up money on these cloud mining sites. They dont really think off carefully on what would be the benefits or disadvantage that they would commit on investing into these cloud mining.
6505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MEW Scam Email on: October 19, 2017, 11:20:07 AM
Hey gang, not sure if this has already been passed around but thought I'd highlight a spam email I got attempting to hijack MEW.  I think the site's already down but the email looks really legit and the link in the email is accurate, but it doesn't link to the official MEW site.  I was already suspicious so I went through trying to spot the issues... it actually took me awhile but it shows up in the email address.

As I said, I believe the site is already down but I sent this up to notify just in case, but also to show others how difficult to spot scam.  When you read people complaining about their MEW being 'hacked' it's likely that someone clicked on an email link like the one I got.

Its really to trace or find out the difference on the legit site and the fake (phishing one) If you do really have always on doubts on what you are recieving then make it always a habit on making such investigations regarding if its a legit email or not and as you can found on the email being used.If you do try to see it on first time and you are on a rush then most likely you wont really notice this one but on your second check for sure you will really able to tell the difference. These kind of phishing attempts isnt new anymore and people should really be aware on this one.Always check and review.
6506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: October 18, 2017, 03:57:54 PM
I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?
In my opinion the bitcoin will exists forever Because here the concept is simple .
As here we understand that bank system are more better and powerful and can't go down ever , But here if we can see toward the stability and technology of the bitcoin blockchain system then we will find that here security is more better than what the banking system have .
And also in the bitcoin we have more ease to access the money that we have in the wallet and also Annynomuous type privacy also worked perfectly here , so we can understand well that in the future why people will not use bitcoin .
So here we can say that from year by year people will use bitcoin more and more and that will increase the future life of the bitcoin According to demand .
Forever? Nothing on this world do exist forever which means everything has its own end.The thing you are saying here is possible but i cant see a thing that it would be done so easily knowing government would really still remain superior no matter what and no matter how technology would evolve i would really say fiat system would still remain for sure. Talking about 100 year survival on bitcoin? Then no one knows since no human could able to predict the future which means it could possible die or would progress even more but i would believe that it would just really remain as another new way payment system rather than on going global.

I see I'm a new member, so it would be hard to earn bitcoin because nobody enrolls new members in campaigns. But are there any altcoin campaigns here from where I can earn altcoins?
Is there a list of altcoin signature and social media campaigns?
Check this thread for  ANN threads of New project which you would actually see the informations related to each project https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0 and when it comes to Bounty then go into this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0 which this is the common place for you to seek out for campaigns either on social or signature campaigns. As far as i know the most common rank needed is Jr. Member above but still i did able to see bounties that do accept newbie completely as long you do follow the required stuff and your good to go.

Protect users from harm by disabling their accounts Huh Angry

Their reply on this issue doesn't look quite convincing and even the account with enhanced verification was disabled for review, they already have his personal documents what more they need from him this time  Roll Eyes
Its not really convincing at all for us users who do have already comply and passed those verification. For now i havent been blocked by the site hopefully it wont happen on my but theres already the doubts inside me specially seeing on other users which do have the same account level still being blocked. It is somehow unfair,we did already give those documents completely. This is why those sentences doesnt really fit on the things that they are doing now.If this situation would continue then expect for them to fall soon.If people would decide to use other exchange.
6509  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Supermarket Accept Bitcoin on: October 18, 2017, 10:12:19 AM
Let put ourselves on the shoe of the owner. In my cognitive evaluation on veracity of bitcoin popularity and numbers there is a big market if I do accept bitcoin as payment and option for a better marketing strategy but the government is not declaring it legal and how would do I compute the taxation.
This would be the thing that would make this stuff complicated because speaking of legality and taxation this would be the main concern if you do have a supermarket and lets say you are the owner but one thing that hesitates to implement or offer such thing would really vary on the decision that would be made on the government which you are on.If you decide to accept it but they decline such request then you cant do anything about it.I have heard some supermarket do accept bitcoin but i actually forgot it though.

Has anyone gotten reply from block.io recently?

Well majority don't have any problem about block.io so I think we will see less response if they gotten a reply from block.io recently. About your concern, no way anyone here can answer you except for the block.io support itself.

Likely you triggered their security. Why failed to login multiple times? Are you the one did that or you just experienced it the moment you logged?

Do you send a query now for their support? How long are you waiting now?

No one would really able to help him out but only block.io itself since this is just really a normal security precaution on most sites which if you do logged in the wrong password for how many tries then they would normally locked out which isnt really surprising at all and as being said there not really need to worry as long you do have the important informations regarding on such account incase of recovering it.Sending support ticket would be the nearest possible solution as of now. I havent experience any problems regarding on this stuff.

6513  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Scam or legit on: October 16, 2017, 07:42:43 PM
I am pretty new to bitcoin and have basically been using faucet sites to get started.
I know faucets are slow and labourious but at least they are giving me an insite into how bitcoin works
Cloud mining is something that i am seeing advertised a lot.
People will say it is a scam
Some people will say it is not a scam I know that

I would just like everyones opinion on it if that is ok

So is cloud mining a scam yes or no

Reasons why appreciated

Many Thanks

I started in faucet too and then proceed to join cloud mining because it promises huge returns and I end up being scammed. There are sites maybe that are not scam but it gives so small earnings that you will still end up losing rather than earning. There are so many HYIP sites that promises just days and you will get back your return of investment but more often than not those are scam too. One hint for you is that if the return is too good to be true then maybe it is.
Yea probably its the people who thinks cloud mining could generate such kind amount of money 24 hours or so . So people tend to say that it is a scam because as you say it has a small amount of interest than your money dropped but eventually wont happen after some time because some cloud mining site also tends to lure the some people in their stand and let them have the first or two but the third one and or last it wont happen again
Thinking off the concept on how Ponzi works which old investors would really be paid up by the amounts being invested by new comers which means payout would really depend if there someone new do join but coming to a point on where no one would able to join now then for sure this is the best time for them to ran off all the money have been invested. They are really just good on 1-2-3rd payments but later on expect that you would be scammed.Nothing on this world do gives huge interest for a short period of time without doing nothing.

what to do  Huh  i want to see a return on my investment but the dev does nothing with coin  Angry

im talking about dbtc debitcoin. Fundamentally its a great coin but the developer is useless  Angry Roll Eyes

what would you do?
You cant do anything about it specially if the dev doesnt put any interest on his creation after making money. This thing do usually happens and we can able to see there are lots of potential coins do exist but ending up on dying because dev dont tend to continue or just securing up their bags and left all behind. For those investors you cant do nothing if the price would really dump hard. This is always part of the risk if we do tend to invest into these coins or projects. We wont know if they would continue or progress or not.
6515  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: October 16, 2017, 05:20:55 PM
You can play trading while you work on real life as your side-income. The thing you can do when you trade patient and wait for increasing the price of coins. Just do trade and need to be patient and learn how to do when you loss to earn profit.

The bitcoin prices is volatile, play trading while you work on real life means that you can not always check the moving price, so the best way is just by set the limit correctly. The best profit is the gradual gain that fits a realistic target. Indeed we all expect big profit in a short time. High risk high return is fast high return - fast high risk,  rome wasn't build in a day, understand this principle while learning trading bitcoin. Sell your coin while you have chance to get profit even it small is no problem because the value will keep growing.
I do really have this kind of trading target which i do usually made some profit taking on small percentage rather than on going directly on bigger ones. I dont usually took up the risk on high level since i cant able to handle it specially when theres a loss. Trading is indeed an unpredictable job since we dont really know on where do prices go which i do strongly believe that trading do have somehow a mix of your intuition when it comes on predicting price movements but yet as an experienced trader every move do really have a corresponding basis.
6516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: crypto Currency is making people millionaires all over the world on: October 16, 2017, 04:24:27 PM
There will be but that will make the price of bitcoin fall drastically if these people decided to sell at the same time. Once the goal of each person has been reached one by one people will sell bitcoin and decided to covert it to traditional currency and that will affect the bitcoin community. There will be millionaires but not all, unless there will be more establishments or businesses that will accept bitcoin as payment. As this will make the currency circulate it will change how the world view of bitcoin thus creating more millionaires.
This is true on which if a certain person would decide to sell out his coins and would become a millionaire then for sure it would really affect bitcoins price it might not be big but it will surely decrease this is why they cant really cash it all or large number of people would decide to sell all at once.Bitcoin can really give the opportunity to be come millionaire but i would say it would really be on small ratio and consider also that altcoins would really give the same opportunity of a certain crypto holder to become a millionaire if he did hit the right time and spot.
6517  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct? on: October 16, 2017, 03:43:28 PM
It would take the world quite a long time to follow suite, not to mention the developing countries who don't have the technology or infrastructure to install digital/electronic payment terminals across the country.
So, as good as going paperless sounds, I don't think we'll be seeing this go global. It'd definitely be interesting to see how Sweden's stance on BTC would be influenced though as a result of this.
It wont really go globally and as been speak not all countries are capable on such adjustments for sure on turning to digital came from physical money thinking off that not all countries can able to do such thing easily because they dont really have the resources and also people wont really be easily convinced on such adjustments.Local fiat would really still be at its best on this kind of situation.Even though digital trend would be there but i would bet that people would always prefer to use local fiat cash since we are already using it for how many generations even digitalized currencies would be there but yet people will surely seek for physical fiat for sure.
6518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling loses and wins on: October 15, 2017, 09:20:06 PM
I already forgot my loses and winnings but I am sure that I am more on lose that win..oh well that's gambling! I learned my lessons and I stayed away in gambling for awhile now.

Gambling losses are pretty obvious, for I did win, but mostly I lost. At beginning I felt bad and it made me sad and also sometimes aggressive towards gambling. But I controlled it and now I enjoy gambling as it diverts my mind and mostly gamble in sports, dice and poker.
In dice I am on loosing side, sports betting became unpredictable recently, and poker currently my winning percentage is up. But the betting amount in all three are pretty low so it doesn't effect me even if I loose, but yes, emotions does strikes sometimes, making me sad Grin

Its is indeed obvious knowing that Gambling do only have 2 outcomes which is winning and losing but the rate of loses would vary on what game you are playing on.Just like in your situation which you do play gambling which you do say that you are on negatives then we are on the same side knowing this thing or game does really depend on luck which chances of winning isnt really guaranteed at all. Sports betting and poker games would somehow changed the situation but would still depend on how good you are on it.
6519  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin's rally really about BTG? on: October 15, 2017, 08:30:56 PM
I think that there will be an increase in unnecessary legislation soon to follow.  Probably more focused on "Blockchain based assets" rather than specific coins.  Governments around the world will want their taxed share.  Will this drive the price up or down?  Answer is yes.
The recent rally on the price of bitcoin might be the direct result of the forking coming up and the possibility to earn some extra coins if you are keeping your bitcoins in a private wallet. I am not sure what you meant by unnecessary legislation could drag the price down,i have seen many rallies in the past and after a certain point any FUD news could make the difference and could drag the price crazy.
True, even op would say that he wont believe that this rally isnt been cause by Bitcoin Gold. I would really say that it does really give some effects  and as you said any news regarding on bitcoin would really make a difference on the price. We sometimes see this price rally as a bubble but yet we cant be sure if price would dip down again after the fork. 2 forks would really happen on this month and the next month. For now the best thing to do is accumulate bitcoin as much as can to earn those free coins again just like we did on Bitcoin cash.
6520  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with loss? on: October 15, 2017, 06:41:39 PM
Am I too late into this trading stuff? I'm still learning about it thats I why can't say anthing regarding the losses xD
I'll post again when it happens!
No, your never too late, you can start today or tomorrow because the market is always here to stay.
Trading is a good way to make money but make sure you understand what you are doing, as a newbie you need to study the basics first and understand the entire market so you will be able to make a decision based on its movement. This forum will help you because you can read a lot useful ideas shared here and also the information about the crpto currency. You can start anytime with a small amount of money, it's better to start that way.
And beside trading are open to all who are willing to trade and the first thing that we must gonna do is to have the willingness to learn to in trading, yes trading is unpredictable and risky but if you know how to handle your emotions also if you are experiencing the loss that it is not far to about to happen here in trading of course you need to deal on it take a deep breath and stay calm.
Hardship would really be experienced specially on our first time which is really a normal thing, right? On our newbie minds and emotions into this particular field would really be different which we would normally react when we lose money and as a beginner we would really normally panic or even worst would really make rage and would make bad decision specially when we cant handle ourselves on those situations. Dealing loss should really be on calm way and think and realize why we do loss and for sure in next time we are already aware on it and somehow avoid on next time trades.
