6581  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: March 17, 2016, 05:04:52 AM
By spreading this rumors big whales wants to take an advantage that people would get panic and sell their coins at lower price so that they can buy it and sell it when the price is higher.

That could be one idea. Maybe they sold their bitcoins at a lower price and cannot buy back. Spreading rumors that bitcoin is dead will make some sell and give them the opportunity to buy at a lower price.
6582  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: March 16, 2016, 01:38:58 PM
Nobody really like to carry those currencies and coins in their pockets IMO. It isn't that safe, many will debate about carrying credit cards, even then at some point we will have to withdraw or pay our bills with cash. But if digital currencies come into existence there won't be any hassle IMO.

That would be a great comfort for all of us. Digital currencies like bitcoin can be used in that part of living paying bills, game buying and some that can be done online. But regarding paper money that is paid in stores outside that should stay like that. Money should still be physically seen.
6583  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin always be dependent on fiat? Is it? on: March 16, 2016, 01:36:15 PM
I think it will still be dependant on fiat for a long time.
Unless you can do literally everything with bitcoin there still will be some dependency with other currencies.

That is the right thing to say it. Bitcoin needs to be known by some individuals too. Just ask 10 persons outside the city ask if they know bitcoin and that question mark on the head will be seen all over him. Unlike, dollars, pounds, peso, etc etc this currencies have been known for many years.  I say bitcoin is still a  baby.
6584  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: March 16, 2016, 01:33:11 PM
Buying altcoins at the wrong time and losing some bitcents over that, I think buying altcoins is just for skilled traders!

Learning about altcoins is like learning bitcoins also. But the problem is your mind will not be focused with just one. That could cost some risk in your coins. That is why for me I just stick with bitcoins. But they say there are great profits at altcoins also.
6585  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you buy Bitcoins? on: March 16, 2016, 01:31:33 PM
Getting a future reward is the reason why I am buying bitcoins. On a term of 3-5 years i do expect to see the price above 4k.
That would be a perfect moment for me to sell my bitcoins or even better, use my bitcoins.

Yes just like hoarding.  Grin Someday it will be at a better price and many of us are expecting us that is we are here. Buy and earn to be more faster and have a great profit someday.
6586  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: March 16, 2016, 01:28:13 PM
I think it's good to sell when you reach a decent price worth selling at, I mean people selling at $1000 can be considered winners since they sold at the best current time till now.

i think $500 it's enough for people with short term investmen, i sell my bitcoin in arround price $500 then buy back at $400 . i can get some growing to my bitcoin.

Yes that is the idea. Sell high buy low. But you just have to be really careful, happened to me a month ago where I did a bad decision. There is a risk in here. So careful or be more extra careful.
6587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: March 16, 2016, 01:26:14 PM
The fact that a transaction is not confirmed at least for 30 minutes when the network is busy, it's not a problem when 1 confirmation is necessary but when 5-6 confirmations are needed then it's annoying to an extent.

Agreed. This is one of the reasons why some people get out of bitcoin community. But, think about how long also when you send money to other money transfer companies. I think they are also getting tired of slow transactions.
6588  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: March 16, 2016, 01:24:33 PM
Buying low and waiting till the price goes up is kind of outdated in my opinion. If you are going to buy quite a few of bitcoins and leave them be for several years, then you might get a good profit, but it might just get upwards and BTC prices might get down as well. Thats why there is always risk. Of course, you can monitor prices every day, selling your BTC when it gets 10$ higher and then waiting till it lowers to buy some more and wait for the next rise, but as I said risk and luck here are at the same page.

That is the idea while waiting for that price increase that is coming. We are trying to make more coins for the future rise. Then a lot of profit will be seen once that day come.
6589  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: March 16, 2016, 01:22:48 PM
Lol this thread is more than 2 years old, the reason why people were saying that at the time is because Bitcoin had just peaked at over $1000 in Dec 2013 and in Feb 2014 went under $800. As is normal in a situation like this, naysayers started talking about how BTC would soon be dead.
How do people dig up these old threads anyways?  Cheesy

I guess this was dug when the news about a certain man saying "bitcoin is dead" then sold all his bitcoin. I think that would be the only reason. Maybe some one googled "BTC is dead" and found this one.
6590  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: March 16, 2016, 01:20:28 PM
Currently, I think there are several uncertainties facing the future of bitcoin. I say this because most governments have not accepted bitcoin as a currency. In the past few weeks, we have had mixed reactions on the nature of bitcoin whereby the Japanese government announced that it will consider bitcoin as a form of exchange while the British government proposed launching of a parallel blockchain for fiat. Going full time with bitcoin might seem a tall order at this moment.

It will be a great idea if you have the resources to make bitcoin. But for free earners or buyers then trading going full will be really hard. It can be as a side job or for a little profit for daily expenses. Before risking our job it would be best to have some equipments to use
6591  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: March 16, 2016, 01:17:21 PM
I think it will be a top currency, Exchangeable for most currencies in the world and take over the field of online transactions and therefore maintain and remain much better than before.

That would be the best answer for that. Top currency or commodity that you can invest in. With that happening many will be buying and for us holders will be a profit in an instant.
6592  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin and Porn on: March 16, 2016, 01:16:08 PM
A lot of public cam showing have been popping around that are accepting bitcoin. I think they are getting more advertisements now for those who want to jack themselves with an awesome girl at live cam.
I never wanted to interact with models through a live WebCam. But I still prefer go for paid porn with the bitcoin payment, for some high-quality content as I hate free low quality porn stuff. Anyway bitcoin is more useful for me too....

True. If you are think porn is really an art it will be more fun watching it at a good quality. No porn lovers would want something that cant be seen in a cam. You would erase it instantly if you have that and it takes out the fun.
6593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: March 16, 2016, 01:14:00 PM
Yes, I know. The average person holds BTC and just waiting for the miracle to happen. But the reason this miracle may happen if more ppl join the world of cryptocurrencies, so demand would be huge and than the price goes up. So dont just wait doing nothing. Talk to ppl, make them buy BTC's, sell them, buy them again... then the price rises.

I dont think that is a miracle. That will depend on how many will also be buying. Demands will increase its price. If we grew our community then we are the one profiting from it if we have been holding our coins.
6594  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: March 16, 2016, 01:12:41 PM
It is for the price increase for me. I love seeing how my money move everytime there is a change in bitcoin price. The rise is more exciting and giving more reason to believe in it
6595  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: March 16, 2016, 01:11:15 PM
I think you would probably need around 100 BTC's to retire in a third world country, If you are living in an expensive country then I think you would need at least 1,000 BTC's to retire IMO.

100 I thinks would be very little. Maybe if it will take bitcoin to grew at an exceptional price. But still if it will be seen at the price now. That is extremely low and will be easy to use it all.
6596  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: March 16, 2016, 09:41:19 AM
maybe because they have lost money whit bitcoin, a lot of inexperienced people think that bitcoin means earn a lot of free money for do nothing, but they don't know that a lot of people lost his money whit scams or decreased value of the coins

That is true. Many have lost their money. Bought bitcoin at 1000+ dollars from the past then look  at the price now. That is a lot of money when you are a buyer and thought it will grow more. It is really a heartache.
6597  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: March 16, 2016, 08:13:22 AM
I spend bitcoins mostly online when I see an item I want and can be bought more easily with bitcoin, not using it regularly to buy items since it's relatively hard to buy bitcoins in my area.

Where is your place. I thing 7-11 shops are offering to let bitcoin buyers to buy at their shops. I saw an advertisement of it once. And I think it is really cool for 7-11 to take that huge step.
6598  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: March 16, 2016, 08:09:19 AM
I'm not a time traveler but I can say so far bitcoin has a pretty bright future ahead of it. But that's just a prediction and there's always something that messes it up.

Yeah right it does have a bright future in its way. But still bitcoin havent reached its peaked price like when its started where it really have a good price,. It is like a rare item in every collection shop.
6599  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: March 16, 2016, 08:07:15 AM
I think the end of the paper money is in our sight, I think in about 10 years there only will be digital money and not cash anymore.
So the future of the paper money will end soon or later no doubts about that if I´m honest.

You are honest about your opinion though. But that is not everybody's way of thinking. I dont think it will be erased in our sight like you said. You are thinking about the average class of people and the rich people. But have you thought about the poor ones? Try to go to that reality first then come back again and tell me what you think.
6600  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: March 15, 2016, 02:12:02 PM
I don't think so for the time being, To actually go full-time in bitcoin you would either need a very big amount of bitcoins or a business running online related to it and I don't have these but I think of it as an interesting part-time job.

Mining also will help. But you will be needing a lot of knowledge in these section. They say there are great profits here. But you will really need to understand it first and equipments will be needed. I myself havent really got a good knowledge when it comes to mining.
