6581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Look For In A Bounty Campaign on: September 29, 2019, 06:29:30 PM
I recently started managing my first bounty campaign, however, its been a few days and we have yet to see any traction.

The project I'm managing the campaign for is currently in their early startup stages, however, they are running on the VeChainThor Blockchain, they are closely related and in collaboration with an existing prominent project, and are set to release their MVP before the public sale is even set to end.

All these are clear indications, at least to myself, that the project is legitimate and seems to have potential to be a great success. So I would have expected to see more traction by now, but I haven't.

So my question to you all, what do you look for in a bounty campaign?
Do you value a project with a better product, or a project that is giving away higher rewards?
Are there any requirements that steer you away from participating in a campaign?

Any insight and feedback would be extremely helpful so that I can adjust my campaign if needed in order to maximize the results.

Thanks!

One thing I don't like is the KYC I have never participated or going to participate in a bounty campaign that asked for KYC I'm not getting a huge amount of token compare to what investors are going to purchase, I remember one bounty campaign that suddenly asked for KYC and when I checked my stakes and the token that I was about to receive it's only worth $50 in their ICO price and it could be lower when it hit the market. So it's really not worth ro do KYC.

6583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are we really investing in bitcoin? on: September 29, 2019, 03:19:04 PM
Is the service and profitability, even if bitcoin is highly volatile, are the only two reasons why bitcoin is attractive to investors? Any good opinions or answers? Thanks
I used to look on profitability when I first bought Bitcoin, but after studying and learning how to use and transfer and running a wallet I realized it's uniqueness, I am a long-time user of Paypal but they have a very long process of verification and so many questions about your funds, something that is not present on Bitcoin, it's decentralized anonymous and companies are now accepting it.
I'm glad I'm on it, this early but still, so many things to explore about Cryptocurrency, it's now part of my life and I glad I adopted it.

I'd like to give my opinion on these two subject

Quote
- Congressman claims the US has no capacity to Kill Bitcoin!
Why would they spend millions of dollars and resources to kill a technology that can help and now being implemented and integrated into the system of so many countries, they should first look at other problems and let Bitcoin out of their sight

I don't know how these things going to be possible, I am just being realistic, we still need fiat some sectors cannot function without fiat, I cannot go to a town without internet without fiat.
6585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who are are your bet for this year's boxing fight of the year on: September 29, 2019, 12:19:32 PM
Can we add the Porter vs Spence fight?,

That was not a boring fight that ended up in split decision.
That's a brawl and Porter was making Spence does things that he don't normally do, but unfortunately that knock down of him really cost him to loss in this fight.

Anyway, that's still a good fight and should be added in the candidates for boxing fight of the year.

Definitely it's worth it, this is one tough fight to score I'm suprise that some judges are scoring it with a big edge for Spence, it should be closer than that, in case you all don't know there's a heated argument between the two in their post-fight conference
you can check the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5l6QIMVhBzY their arguments stem from who draws the most people in their fight.
6586  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Beware] FairWin, is allegedly putting user funds at risk on: September 29, 2019, 09:26:09 AM
Maybe this thread should be in the Gambling section among the gamblers who might have used their services. It would get more views by those who need to know about this issue.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=56.0

If you want to move it yourself you can do so by clicking on Move Topic at the bottom of the page.

OP can also create a topic on scam section but he should not copy paste and just rephrase the words and add additional information, anything that is related to Ponzi scheme obviously this program is a Ponzi scheme using a smart contract, should have a topic created in the scam section.
Not only members who's going to read the thread but also those who will search the internet as well.
6587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why its hard to attract investors on: September 29, 2019, 08:26:36 AM
Before investors are everywhere in crypto currency specially mid 2017 but everything change
Ico's started to boom in the internet, you can choose a lot
of ico that you like, but then started to change , there are ico that are scam, running with investors money in a snap, lending platforms also can be seen, the same happens they suddenly disappear
we have already have a very good market if there are no scammers
they change everything, now investors are so hesitant whenever there is a new coin that are good but they opted out because they think its a scam, I think we should find a way to lessen or better eliminate them for good.

It's not really hard to attract investors, only ICO projects are having a hard time investing new investors because that side of crowdfunding has a bad a reputation now, we have a lot of new investors coming in the market and they prefer to invest in IEO platform manage by reputable exchange.
They always watch for new coins that are coming in but prefer to wait for it to land in the market before buying, their alibi is a much cheaper price.
6588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARE ICOS STILL LEGIT? on: September 29, 2019, 06:04:50 AM
We heard the news of IEO to be in place of ICO in order to curb the high rate of failure and scams in the development of altcoins projects in this year 2019. My surprise is that I still see series of projects claiming to be in ICOs. Doesn't that make them scam as we have seen in the same scenarios in the past?

If it is, I wonder why people still invest whether their time or monies in such projects which have high risk of loss or being scammed.
One of the big reason is listing in big exchange to launch an IEO is very costly some charges as high as 1 Bitcoin, their only option is the ICO to get funded, of course, ICO is a big turn off for investors, but as long as these developers can prove that they are legit site and they are very transparent I don't see any reason why they will not get funded, there are still ICO investors around.
This is now the sorry state of ICO even if the project is legit, investors are hesitant to invest.
6589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this why Bitcoin is crashing? on: September 29, 2019, 05:23:18 AM
Well, maybe crashing isn't the right word - but it's definitely dropping in price. Here's a cool overview of what's happening:

https://cryptotradernews.com/crypto-trader-pro/what-triggered-the-mighty-bitcoin-fall/

My key takeaways:

    • September is typically a bad month
    [/b]
    • Baakkt is not doing very well
    • It’s worth noting the cryptocurrency is still up about 127% on a year-to-date basis

    Thoughts?

    • I don't think it is about September. In September, 2017 Bitcoin was rising speedly.
    • It may related with BAKKT. But I am not sure BAKKT can affect BTC's price this much.

There is nothing in the article that clearly explains why the price is dropping, and about the September issue, nope I don't think so in fact September in the year 2017 is a lucky month for me this is the month of that year where Bitcoin is peaking and I guess it's for us all who experiences the peak in 2017, maybe it's about the Bakkt not getting acceptances from holders, but it still has a future, it's just a slow start. [/list]
6590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Closings bountyhive? on: September 29, 2019, 03:19:10 AM
Many have heard of such a platform as a https://bountyhive.io. The platform was engaged in bounties and paid fairly regularly, although many projects were a big deception. There was news from the chat that you need to enter eos, stellar wallets, as tokens will be sent that the company owes to those who did not manage to enter the wallets on time. Does this mean that the platform will be closed, so new projects are not added to it. Maybe someone has information about the project.

Just because they are asking wallet where to send rewards there is a hint that they are closing, I don't see any hint that they are closing shop, if they are going to close, they will announce it in their newsletter and just because they do not have a new bounty project they are going to close for good, this happens to all bounty platform, it's not an isolated case.

I'm also waiting for task in my bountyhunters.io dashboard and it's been over a month that they are not giving us, but there is no announcement of closing.
6591  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: time to change BTC to ETH? on: September 28, 2019, 04:23:52 PM
ETH is now in an extremely low position. How good is the idea to buy it now?

I don't know why you have a title like that,
    Quote
time to change BTC to ETH?
you never convert your Bitcoin to Eth or your Ethereum to Bitcoin, there's no logic on that, this is the top two coins in the market, any changes in the market will show the impact on these two coins because this is two most-watched coins in the market.
I always tell my friends to always have these two coins as their main portfolio how the these two coins perform will always have an impact in the market.
6592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the future ?? on: September 28, 2019, 01:06:36 PM
    This year; ieo unfolded.

It was supposed to surpass ico and be a better crowdfunding method; but it has gone cold faster than ico did.

If you compare Your experiences too; between altcoin and bitcoin; you would notice that

    1. Altcoins are so many; that they replace one another.
    If an old altcoin dies
New altcoins will replace them and old one will be forgotten... It goes on and on

    2. Bitcoin has maintained its class and importance;

Is it that bitcoin is the only hope for the future ??

We have the evidence in its dominance in the market, honestly, we still need new altcoins in the market with good concept, so many coins have come and go but investors are still looking for more coins to fill the growing industry, if these developers stopped creating a new concept for their coin, we would not have Binance, Eos Tron.

I believe Cryptocurrency is still growing and there will be more new concept coming in the market, we are still discovering and evolving.
6593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best time to keep investing? market is crumbling again on: September 28, 2019, 10:05:53 AM
As long as you are investing what you can afford to lose and investing with your excess funds it's always a sound business decision, people can only invest when they have funds to invest, even if the price is 40% down if they don't have funds they cannot invest.
You should not take a loan just because you want to invest, because the market will not give you aa hint when is the floor price or if the market will go up tomorrow or next week, we are in a volatile and speculative market, something that you should get used to.
6594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Spence Jr vs Porter on: September 28, 2019, 07:23:35 AM
SPENCE sounds to have his mind made on PACMAN next

Manny Pacquiao fight ‘definitely’ happening in 2020, Errol Spence says – ‘the fans want it’

Undefeated American says ‘there’s too much money on the line for it not to happen’
‘I’m going to get the fights I need to prove I’m the best in the world’

    https://www.scmp.com/sport/boxing/article/3030416/manny-pacquiao-fight-definitely-happening-2020-errol-spence-says-fans

I don't think that Spence vs Pacman would happen, it would be suicide for Manny though it would still be a competitive match but it's very dangerous for Manny. He have absorbed lot of punches from Thurman, expect a lot more from Spence if that fight would happen.

Recently Manny is qouted that he will fight next year and the likely opponent would be Amir Khan and it would be in an Arab country. A fight with Khan is practical if that rematch with Floyd won't happen.

Until now there are some Pac Man doubters out there, four straight dominant performance against top boxers in the division, the last one is against tough undefeated champion, let's give PacMan the respect that he deserves because he earns it.
People have this thinking that he will be beaten by this or that opponent, but always dominate them, Pacman always brought youth and experienced inside the ring making him one of a kinnd.
6595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if SOUTH KOREA SHUTTINGDOWN BTC??? on: September 28, 2019, 06:50:35 AM
What if South Korea ban and shutting down all cryptocurrency exchanges?

Bitcoin is facing some hard and complicated situation these past few weeks. What do you think is the big and huge effect and outcome if South Korea beyond doubt to plan and decide to shut it downs the crypto? What will happen if the exchanges of btc crash down to 25%?

“Bitcoin has certainly been facing some difficulties in the past week after South Korea announced the possibility of shutting down all cryptocurrency exchanges – news that caused Bitcoin’s value to plummet by 25%. A final decision is expected to be released today on their fate in the country that is to host this year’s winter Olympics. “
    https://cashessentials.org/fall-of-cryptocurrencies-rise-of-e-fiat-currency/

Do you think it will end to a negative finale?

I've checked the internet for an article about this thread and got this one
    https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2018/01/18/report-south-korea-is-considering-closing-local-cryptocurrency-exchanges-again/
People will be in a panic if the article is written this week or this month or even this year but this article was written Published January 18, 2018 — 05:35 UTC.

I don't know what's your intention to create this thread that is a year ago and no impending threat looming, we seen so many speculations and FUDS we should stop recycling old articles to add FUDS
6596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Emotions; while betting, will you risk losing your fund to back your club? on: September 28, 2019, 05:29:43 AM
Don't know how to put this but I'll try. So lets say your fav club is about playing against a tougher club which on paper they're far better than your club but in your inner most mind you want your club to win therefore, when it comes to placing a bet, which club will you go far. Will you risk losing the bet to back your team winning that match, when you know the chances of them succeeding are almost impossible but since it's football anything is possible or will you bet against you club winning that match but while the match is ongoing you'll be routing for your club to win (in other words routing for yourself to lose your bet)?

How do you balance the emotion of wanting your club to win but not ready to lose your bet in the toughest of games.

If you are betting for fun then you can go ahead and bet for your favorite club against the favorite to win, but if you are not comfortable betting against your team then don't do it all, there will be times when your favorite team will be up against a weaker team and that is the best opportunity to bet for your team and cheer at the same time.
Don't betray yourself and your team just because of money if you are very loyal to your team, if they find out they will think your support is not all out.
6597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: September 28, 2019, 04:31:15 AM
    Dangers inside crypto investing
People may ask: Should I do invest in the cryptocurrencies by using my life earning and savings? Or should I take a loan out? Since I heard that the returns are so great!”

First off, that is really an extremely horrible idea. Cryptocurrency volatility can kill your pocket and rapidly reduce all your hard-earned investments.

    Read : https://paperblockchain.com/what-are-the-dangers-in-cryptocurrency-investing/

More than ever there's a lot of dangers now, people coming in now at this point of time needs to read a lot, communicate a lot and educate himself on the risk in investing in Cryptocurrency, it depends on your risk appetite you can opt to look for a new coin and be one of its early investors.
if you want to be on a safe side then invest in more stable coins in the market, no guaranty but you can always cut your losses because it's already in the market and there's a big chance of bouncing back.
6598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption! Finally? on: September 28, 2019, 02:04:52 AM
We have lately been seeing a lot of big names dipping their fingers into the sweet profitable sauce through Bitcoin's variations and tasting it nicely these days. Names coming out are some of the highly used apps in terms of daily consumption of data through their customers over these apps:

    - Japan's Messaging giant Line launches an in-built crypto exchange for their 80M userbase.

    https://www.coindesk.com/line-officially-launches-crypto-exchange-for-80-million-users-in-japan

    - Telegram raised $1.7 billion for its TON token development and released code recently as well as Coinbase is considering on adding it to their exchange.

    https://www.coindesk.com/telegram-finally-releases-code-for-its-1-7-billion-ton-blockchain

    - Japan's Retail Giant, also known as the "Amazon of Japan", Rakuten has officially launched a crypto exchange where they have now allowed spot trading services to their 850M customers.

    https://cointelegraph.com/news/japans-retail-giant-rakuten-officially-launches-crypto-exchange/

    And many more...

    Source:
    https://news.bitcoin.com/apps-gone-crypto-popular-apps-are-adding-crypto-capabilities/

Still need anything more to believe that Bitcoin is actually being adopted worldwide and everyone has now started taking advantage of this old-yet-highly addictive global cryptocurrency (asset) already?

Finally, something great is gonna come to us, Bitcoiners.

We have been on the adoption mode since 2017, when Bitcoin hit an alltime high but back then people are adopting Bitcoin because of yield in investing, but now it's a different scenario companies and countries are adopting it because of its resiliency, we are past the bubble stage and if you will not get in past, you lose some of the market shares and profits.

We are reading the news coming from big companies but there are also small companies adopting it, that are not landing on big media
it's a cumulative action on every sector.
6599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fell again, what conspiracy? on: September 28, 2019, 12:28:37 AM
For two consecutive days, Bitcoins fell late at night. There are many rumors on the Internet, some people say that the exchange joint bankers, institutions, a hanging of retail investors. Others say they are preparing for big organizations to come in one after another. But in any case, retail investors are innocent.

Honestly, I am at loss on what could be the reason for this drop in the price, but everything is just speculation but it's always been a reminder to me how volatile is the market is, and if you invested what you can afford to lose then you can just sit tight and relax and get on with the thought that things will get better.
There are positives and negatives news hanging around, the best thing that you can do is to read it all as investors you have to live on speculations.
6600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happen for the libra project on: September 27, 2019, 05:38:14 PM
I am just curious about the libra coin, this recent month libra project is in the hottest news, but now currently I never heard about the latest news development for facebook libra project.

    Their have any update...😀😀😀

I think it's good that they are not releasing any update for now until they are ready to do so, the European news that's banning libra coin in their territory is such a big blow, something that the management of Libra Coin don't want to happen as they prepare to launch Libra Coin.

They already set the date of their launching which is still subject to change, they should first do behind the scenes talk with their partners and supporters before the launching.
Timing is very important, it's better that they do a launching when the market is doing good.
