I have heard a story about a guy, who bought a pizza for 10.000 BTC, he is the biggest looser in a worldwide history written. 10.000 BTC now are a large posession.
I would not call this person a loser, because in those years little Bitcoin was heard and These coins had no price at all.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if Bounty is scam? on: April 13, 2018, 01:56:06 PM
During 2016, about 300 ICO took place, which raised $ 300-500 million. This result was confirmed in the first quarter of 2017. For the first half of 2017, statistics speak of a billion dollars collected by various block companies. Every day starts up to 10 different ICOs. The plan is scheduled for 2-3 months. The amount of information is simply enormous. For its systematization in the network there are many "assistants". I believe that this statistics of the past years speaks volumes and it can not be said that the majority of ico companies are scammers.
665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: selling bitcoin is a stupid decision ? on: April 01, 2018, 05:48:14 PM
Hi guys , I  read in social media that many people are panicking its because bitcoin dropped every hour and they think they might lose their money because of that .Well for me , there's no need to panic because when bitcoin dropped as its lowest price its a blessing . And also joining in CRYPTO CURRENCY WORLD, you already know what risk you  should face , and  its a win and win bet when you hold bitcoin . So knowing that  some people selling their bitcoin I feel so sorry for them.
Ser, you are absolutely right, very sorry for those people who begin to panic, because even if they bought bitcoin when its price was 3000 dollars, today they did not lose anything, but on the contrary won. I think that you should not give in to panic and sell everything, bitcoin will regain its value, you will see and soon those who panicked again will be nervous. I decided for myself, you can not panic that's all.
666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving Bitcoins for your Children. on: April 01, 2018, 05:42:53 PM
Like every other investment such as real estate, stocks and other forms of investment we know that you can invest in that kind of things and then you get something like say a Certificate or a Binding Document as a proof that you are part of that investment, now that of bitcoin all you have is just your address, your password, key and seeds as proof of the ownership of the wallet.

BTC

So now if one is considering buying bitcoins and saving for his/her children in the future is there any way to do that with bitcoins apart from having to write down your details somewhere. I'm asking because with that kind of stuff if no one knows your seeds or password no one can get the coins. Huh Huh Huh
In the future, I want to leave my children a bit of bitcoin to start. I do not know who and how to keep my passwords, but for example I just made a printout on the printer with all the passwords and basic information, in case the children want something to get. Perhaps this is not the best option, but at this stage I considered this a reasonable solution.
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you love Bitcoin? on: April 01, 2018, 05:37:15 PM
I love bitcoin because its the crypto currency and its the king of the crypto.
It hasa lot of use cases.
I can exchange it to any other crypto.

Why do you love Bitcoin?
Why are you interested?

To say that I do not like bitcoin is not to tell the truth. I, too, like you, I love bitcoin and rely on it in everything. Much of my daily life depends on bitcoin, and therefore we are not separated from Bitcoin Smiley I also want to say that bitcoin brings only a chronical mood and excellent knowledge into my life.
668  Economy / Economics / Re: Best tip on saving money on: April 01, 2018, 05:14:41 PM
Hi guys! Can you share some tried and tested tricks on making the most out of your buck and also some tips on how to save money more effectively. This will be a heck of a help to our fellow users here. Thank you so much.
Personally, I'm a very big spender Smiley I do not know how to save money, as soon as they are there, then immediately they are not there Smiley But recently I came up with this option: I opened a bank account (deposit) with conditions that do not allow me pick up my deposit earlier than indicated in the contract Smiley So the amount grows, the percentage drips, and I can not get to the money that would spend them in vain. Maybe it's not the original way, but it helps me save my finances.
669  Economy / Economics / Re: The lack of financial education on: April 01, 2018, 05:08:48 PM
The lack of financial education in general is a worrying problem. We teach students about literature, maths, science, ... and we tell them that those are the things they need to know in life. Yet usually, the largest single expense they will have on their lives is a house, and that normally comes with a mortgage. Yet, only a few schools will tell them what should they be expecting, the risks and the consequences of such a contract.

Bitcoin and alts is another case in which people are carefully kept in ignorance by the governments and lobbies.

What can we do to make more people interested in economy and finance and to better educate the youth so that they don´t get ripped-off?
I also think that our youth are very little trained in financing. Of course this is not the biggest problem of society, but for young people it would not be superfluous to study finance in a more extended version. Children should learn from the very childhood to manage financial parties and be able to distribute them correctly. Yes, sir, I fully agree with your conclusions.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Opportunity on: April 01, 2018, 08:53:05 AM
I'm just like those people before that didnt expecting that bitcoin will be too expensive like now. I have a chance to buy one bitcoin just in 200$ before but i  didn't believe to the bitcoin that time. I thought that bitcoin will not going to last longer and it will become scam after having many investors on it.

A years past the bitcoin price rised to 500$ and im thinking that time if i will going to give it a try  to invest some money on it. But like before i didnt believe to bitcoin again. The negavity are still on my body thinking that bitcoin will be down sooner.

Until this year i got a chance to have bitcoin in 3000$ dollar but i didnt take this opportunity again i feel that im really so stupid when it reached 5000$.

Do you think guys bitcoin will reach 8000$ next year? i really want to give it  a try now. So many opportunity i wasted and i will not going to let it happen now.
I hope that you took advantage of this opportunity this time. Today, of course, bitcoin costs much more than 300 dollars, but I think that there is still the possibility of investing. And really do not need to miss this chance again, the forecasts of the bitcoin price are very colorful, but because I think you can take a chance and win.
671  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: March 31, 2018, 06:38:43 PM
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.
I would have approached both options Smiley And I think that in 10 years everyone who was not afraid to take risks would be pleasantly surprised by their dividends and would not be disappointed in their decisions Smiley Of course there is a chance and lose, but I think that those who invested their wealth in such a thing would not allow anyone to harm their investments. So invest safely Smiley
672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you keep buying? on: March 31, 2018, 06:30:22 PM
Bitcoin price keeps increasing. Price is x10 considering last year. Even 25k-50k-100k is predicted.

Are you adding more bitcoin by buying with cash? or you trade or invest in ICOs & altcoins in order to increase the amount you have?

or do you just hold what you have?
If we consider the price of bitcoin today, I think it's not too late to buy bitcoin. It is possible that the price for buying is expensive, but if we consider that it will increase by the end of the year at times, then just the time for shopping.
673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: stop listening to false news on: March 31, 2018, 06:21:21 PM
The current "crash" is caused by one bad "news" after another.   A lot of them are the false or twisted truth.

For example, today, once again "China Full ban crypto".   What the...    Why is it causing another crash??  Why is it even "news"?

It was already banned in China back in September 2017.   All trading platforms suspended trading in September.   Anyone from China who still trade Crypto must be using foreign platforms.   Sure, they reported that China added all crypto exchange sites to Great FireWall.   So what?  These people have VPNs!   When I was in China, everyone who visits foreign sites use VPNs.   Yes, China banned VPN as well a long time ago.   So what?  Everyone is still using it.   Just like ignoring the traffic light is illegal in China, but at every intersection, you will see people ignore the red lights... the truth!   Just because it is "illegal", does not mean no one will do it.

So just this (one) news of China banned Crypto, it was repeatedly used to crash the Crypto market (4 or 5 times).   Do not fall for it!
1.  Summer 2017, China banned ICO.
2.  September 2017, China banned crypto trading.
3.  November or December?  China became unfriendly to crypto mining (Large-scale miners moved oversea already)
4.  January 2018.  China banned websites of foreign crypto exchanges. (VPN!!!)
5.  Today, "China Full Ban Crypto"...  (Really?)

So what is next?
"China really ban crypto"?
"China really full ban crypto"?
"China really really full ban crypto"Huh
"China will jail anyone who trades crypto"Huh
"China will execute anyone who trades crypto"?
"China will nuke every country who trade crypto"Huh??

Stop spreading this nonsense.    What's done was already done in September 2017.   Nothing has changed ever since.  NOTHING really changed in the last 4~5 months.

Yellow journalism at its best.

Same goes for Korean and Indian news.   South Korea did not really ban crypto.  Just one guy wanted to ban it.  It was not approved, nor implemented.   So far they have only added regulations that people can no longer trade anonymously.   So what?   Didn't Coinbase, Kraken, Bittrex etc. US-based platforms all require our IDs and photos?

India also did not ban crypto.  Just a minister made some unfriendly speech toward crypto.  No real "ban" whatsoever.

From the look of it, someone or some groups are trying hard to make the prices go down.   The sad thing is, people are falling for it.   The same China "news" was used on 5 occasions to cause the market crash while nothing was really changed or happened.   Korean news was used on at least 2 occasions.

The bottom line is, let's just ignore all the stupid "news".   Use our brains.   Not hearsay from yellow journalism.   It is getting annoying to have every little "news" to impact the market price.

I personally think that they fall for such false news people who benefit that the market would fall, or those who are very stupid. Why believe the rumors are not justified if you can see for yourself personally. I never give in to panic and do not believe in unverified information. And to be honest, I do not see a way to ban what is not controlled by one government, but this is my personal opinion.
674  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: March 31, 2018, 12:22:48 PM
I think it is.

Bitcoin use adoption has stalled. Media interest has dissipated. Prices have only slowly continued to decline for a long time now. Bitcoin securities have always been and still are a complete mess, with a near 100% failure (scam/fraud/incompetence/etc) rate. Mining has been concentrated in the hands of a few giant players, eliminating much of the advantage/security/democracy of thousands of individuals being the money processors. Alternative forms of online payment with US dollars (and other fiat currencies) are now cheaper, faster, and more secure than bitcoin (and of course far more usable to buy/sell real goods/services), eliminating any of its advantages as a payment system. Continued decline of bitcoin and strength in fiat currencies has put the lie to the idea of bitcoin as a store of value; there are far better more reliable hedges against inflation. Meanwhile the real economy is firing on all cylinders, stock markets are at all time highs, corporate earnings are higher than ever, unemployment is low, etc. Even amid the boom, no one cares about bitcoin any more. Bitcoin was a fad that lasted a few years, and is now on its way to being forgotten.

Thoughts? Anyone seriously disagree with this conclusion?
Why did you decide that bitcoin was forgotten. In any financial industry, there are some small crises or a decline in prices. No, I do not want to say that the bitcoin crisis has come. After all, the price has fluctuated before, and despite this all those who worked with Bitcoin remained faithful to it and did not regret it. So you need to panic less and just believe in bitcoin. Personally, bitcoin suits me in everything. Of course there are some nuances related to both the price and cashing, but I think that soon everything will be decided, because there are already structures that accept bitcoin as a payment system, and therefore I think that everything will soon be ok.
675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to mine or buy Bitcoin? on: March 31, 2018, 07:24:59 AM

i think Bitcoin is only profitable if done at large scales. you must get expensive mining equipment and of course it consumes a lot of electricity monthly. Also it’s usually much more cost effective to buy Bitcoins with this money instead of using it to buy mining equipment.

It is possible that someone else is profitable to mine, but it seems to me that the production of bitcoin is no longer so relevant and profitable. Too much equipment is needed and everything else. Perhaps I do not argue that if I only deal with production, the result will be good, but it seems to me that it will still take a very long time and effort.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Can We Make Sure Bitcoin Never Ends? on: March 31, 2018, 07:20:40 AM
Some people like the Brazil Central Bank Chief called Bitcoin a Bubble & Pyramid Scheme, how can the bitcoin industry prove this wrong and make sure bitcoin never ends but grows bigger?
I believe that you do not need to prove anything to anybody, time will pass and everyone will see that bitcoin is the most reliable and necessary monetary unit. As it seems to me, many are simply afraid of bitcoin, since everything is unknown and unexplored.
