after what i can see nothing should happen because thats before the fork... im not 100% sure tho. Asked Bittrex support. Think you don't have to worry. Bittrex wallet is also in status: maintenance After Bittrex receive a message from Team Magi they will download the latest updates & your coins will roll in your wallet. |

Great, I'm still not running a node yet - I'll wait until the chain is working correctly before I bring my node up so that I don't accidentally start sharing the wrong chain again. Very good Starmman |

choose the most legitimate fork
and decleare it as mainchain
if the way to chose the most legitimate chain is done
by just sync ur main node with new code thats a valid way too
everything better than a rollback
everyone who mine this days must be aware the chance his pow rewards might end not on the final fork is high
so noone can complain u know the risc
if u wana be sure u earn real POW rewards u have to wait until there is a final chain
limit max block reward is good temporary fix

However, I strongly believe the PoW reward needs a reset at this mode before fix is released in the near future, and the number I have in mind is maximum 15 XMG / block.
I do not mine, but why should you maximize it on 15, while most of the time the reward is 1 or less? Think with that max blockreward it will not giving profit to huge miners. Notice huge miners joined mining when blockreward was high and stopped after blockreward went down to 1 or less. After that blockreward went back up and huge miners joined in again. With less higher blockreward mining with huge hashrate will give more powercosts than profits. Sure if you have free power its still could give profits but much lower than before. Huge miners are looking for fast profit and will jump on other coins. This idea will be a step forward for more fair mining. I might be wrong but this is what crossed my mind. |

Just letting you know that any mining done here is going to be discarded when we are syncing with the official node.
I'm aware, as do most people, as only ones know this link are people reading here @ forum. Will move to official chain once known, will also be used to do testing at this moment. As I received many requests of no-rollback and also many posts here, we will take the majority that we will go on with the chain on 104.128.225.215 as is, NO ROLLBACK. However, I strongly believe the PoW reward needs a reset at this mode before fix is released in the near future, and the number I have in mind is maximum 15 XMG / block. This is a temporary solution so that we keep chain / mining going. I temporarily shut the node down until we make release of the wallet. Please be prepare for the mining which can be done through solo mining. Please ask if you have questions of starting up solo mining. In the meantime, we seek pools like NOMP; few people present help on NOMP. I appreciate this.
The target time of new wallet and having the chain up is tomorrow (8/24/2017), at 7:00 PM EST time.
Rest assured we won't touch the chain on 104.128.225.215. We will just let it grow, and always take 104.128.225.215 as the best chain. If you lost connection to it, pls have a reconnection. Sorry, again this is a temporary solution.
I will post detailed docs before 8/24/2017 at 7:00 PM EST time.
In parallel efforts of fixing the issue, we will make a separate test field, either testnet or a different chain.

Open poll here, I disagree that all against rollback here. And sometimes need to do unpopular things for the benefit of. Maybe not all but most people are against rollback. Personal i think rollback will not be a good solution. What kind of decision Magi will take there will people happy & people less happy. I believe the most important will be that we give Magi a good future. Magi is almost 3 years old and had his ups & downs. Examples enough; Magi added on Cryptsy => few months later Cryptsy crashed, Polo delisted Magi without receiving a good reason, teammember dies, etc... But Magi came out every dip stronger and continues growing. In this case it will be the same. Sure there might be a dump after Magi is running great again but after that there will be a awesome grown in community & value. |

Should'nt there be a warning sent out to users that dosen't read/use this forum? eg on the website before announcing a rollback. So they have a chance so shut down their mining else it would be a huge loss for some of them. - thats just my opinion.
Have to agree here not everyone is reading these forums, Hell most of the links on the website point to older wallets. the chain has been chugging along fine the last X hours for some so the could not know anything. anything other then a future rollback point which is announced everywhere not just here in a single response of 800+ comments. Even though the exchange might be offline people could still be doing transactions. As Magi knows more details i will try to reach as much people i can with different forums, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, trollboxen from the different exchanges and other social media. To make things clear for people: hold with transactions until updates are released!! |
