661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitpay does a 180, is now compromised 100% by Jihan, #boycottBitpay #UASF on: May 18, 2017, 01:48:32 PM
POW nukes are a reply to an attack of equal dimensions: Jihad claiming that they would 51% attack the network if they don't join the buggy unlimited agenda.

Of course, Core and everyone that supports the software isn't going to sit down and watch the project get destroyed, so a PoW change is required to guarantee their unlimited PBOC money isn't put into bad use to attack the network.

Also, it's pretty obvious Jihad controls an higher % of what you are delusional enough to buy.

^ typical racist reply.. sounds like the fox news crowd
fox: america = independence
if your not american you must be bombed or told to stay on your side of the wall..
reddit: core = independence..
kill chinese. destroy PoW, RKT all but blockstreamists

Typical reply when someone doesn't know what to say. Let's just use the "racist" card:

Sorry, but only an idiot can't see how Jihan controls way more than what you are claiming.

662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why i prefer POW over POS on: May 17, 2017, 05:53:08 PM
POS-coins are more like exclusive circles of traders while pow is open for everybody even later in the game.

How is this even the case? How can you jump in the mining game in bitcoin anymore? it's centralized in china for a long time so im just wondering how it's possible in your mind to get started with mining in 2017, that's ridiculous.

At the end of the day, in both POS and POW, it's the same, you need to invest millions to have a say in the mining game.
663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: POSW now supported by Ledger - Clear not a S*** coin, how is the price so low?? on: May 17, 2017, 05:10:46 PM
POSW offers an unique, original, useful service with its gateway token, being able to stake tons of coins online at the same time. They have active devs, you can follow it here:

https://icotimeline.com/category/poswallet-updates/

It's just dumb to dump at current prices. All coins will have their moment, and this is a $1 coin. What we saw is just a test.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC to 0.028 BTC $50 Final squeeze 6000 BTC Bull run on: May 17, 2017, 04:55:51 PM
LTC has hit 0.0134, now im worried that we may re test sub 0.013. It tried to go up and it failed, looks like we may test 0.0128 or something, im setting some buy orders on there, and now let's just wait and see, 0.0128 is another support judging by strict TA which as we know can be useless, but you gotta put them damn buy orders somewhere so im choosing that one.

0.0128 to 0.013 is probably fine.
It may drop that low but I would be surprised if it goes any lower, there is so much new support for LTC.
(Added to Coinbase, trusted name, continued development etc)
And could possibly be $50 to $100 in the next few years.

Turns out it did and it did for good. 0.011 was touched in poloniex. Im glad that I didn't finally buy in, even tho I would be up by now tho. Maybe that was "it".

There's also the ongoing poloniex problems due lag, so it's hard to discern what is natural trading and what is trading that is happening because of panic selling due poloniex constantly fucking up their service by orders getting stuck and so on. I can't withdraw anything right now.

666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: POLONIEX its insolvent - Bolivarcoin Theory + Proff on: May 16, 2017, 03:11:35 PM
Cold wallets are expected by any competent exchange, so I guess that explains it. Anybody could look at that data and derive those conclusions.

I think they are just having problems due tons of new people coming to crypto and not managing the servers properly. They need to wake the fuck up tho, but to be honest, I don't feel any safer going to bittrex.

Having BTC in exchanges is a ridiculous risk no matter what, but I dont see any other way to take advantage of price swings but to have some BTC on the exchanges.

They should be making a lot of money to expand servers, my fear is that they have fucked up with margin trading and they may indeed be insolvent...
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Is Rootstock about to make Ethereum irrelevant? on: May 16, 2017, 02:23:52 PM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Hy1fy1vJxk

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-scalability-issue-takes-new-turn-as-rsk-ready-to-release-ginger

Analogy: TCP/IP adds a secend layer protocol. HTTP.

RSK is to bitcoin what http is to tcp/ip.

This is the biggest thing to happen to bitcoin in a long time.

It adds ethereum smart contracts to bitcoin.

It scales bitcoin by a factor of 100x.

It will add a layer for ERC20 style tokens to bitcoin.

And it is just all around amazing technology

You want to save, use the main chain btc.

You want to transact, use smart bitcoin (rsk).

All in a completely automated fashion where everything happens behind the scenes, and all the user sees is pure awesomeness.

Also: You aren't risking your tokens to be hacked due an unforeseen turing complete bug, unlike ETH which natively operates on a turing complete blockchain.

How can ETH win?
668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An Open Letter to Bitcoin Miners – Jonald Fyookball on: May 16, 2017, 12:10:10 PM
He posts regularly here and starts far too many posts already about his anti-core sentiment. Why does he deserve another thread on his behalf now?

The solution's there already. Segwit will be deployed, it's just a matter of time. No, I'm not dreaming; I know the mining world better than most...

How do you expect segwit to be enabled? and most importantly, when?

While segwit is the best solution to scale right now, and it's perfectly fine and there will be no doomsday as demonstrated in litecoin, I just don't see it happening. At least not for the time being, and it's not like we have a lot of time left. Litecoin is going to start gaining traction as the payment's coin thanks to segwit and lightning network developments.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: do you think litecoin will recover ? on: May 15, 2017, 03:41:54 PM
It seems not much is happening with litecoin bwcause people have no demand on it compared to bitcoin. Bitcoin is in news a lot about japan  legslly using itand russia letting them use it soon legally.

Litecoin will have tons of good news as further lightning network developments are deployed. Good things in the pipeline. As long as bitcoin has no segwit, litecoin has the possibility to hit an all time high. Sooner or later, the unconfirmed transactions are going to reach a ridiculous point were people will be forced to go elsewhere and LTC is the best alternative.
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is there anything coming exciting that could make ETH pump? on: May 15, 2017, 02:54:37 PM
Well, it turns out I was right and 0.049 was a good entry point, now it's sitting at 0.052... I missed another chance because I was paying attention to LTC only and decided to not move a coin.

Im still waiting for LTC to dip to low 0.014 to get back in... hoping it doesn't continue stagnating otherwise im fucked.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Is there anything coming exciting that could make ETH pump? on: May 14, 2017, 04:14:43 PM
IT looks like it's finding a good balance around 0.049, might be a good idea to start looking at the roadmap and see any further news that could pump the price.

LTC got LN and all the tech related to LN and segwit for further pumps, what does ETH have on the pipeline to risk some BTC in hopes for a pump?
672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 213: Bisping vs GSP Info and Prediction Thread on: May 14, 2017, 02:38:22 PM
Dana White said that he is not going to wait for George Saint Pierre so this means GSP is going to face another fighter later on. Isn't Silva too big for GSP? I would like to see that fight tho, it's actually better than the Bisping fight imo. It's a fight between two legends.

I would like to see GSP vs McGregor too.
673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 213: Bisping vs GSP Info and Prediction Thread on: May 13, 2017, 05:30:03 PM
Fuck! Bisping vs GSP card got cancelled! Unbelievable:

http://www.foxsports.com/ufc/story/dana-white-scraps-plans-for-georges-st-pierre-vs-michael-bisping-declares-yoel-romero-will-get-next-title-shot-051117

It looks like GSP is definitely out, but Bisping may be still be fighting against another opponent but we all wanted to see that fight, without GSP Bisping is not going to make as much money so he is pretty pissed off... another failure for the UFC.
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PIVX: Who got rich from this? on: May 13, 2017, 03:49:15 PM
Well, I hope that people dumped at $2 because that was it. It may dump more times, since all coins eventually dump again, but it's going to need something big to go higher. Maybe a Poloniex addition could get the ball running.

There are better high risk altcoins right now to hold and hope for a pump like POSW, which didn't test $1 yet.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC retracing back to support line? on: May 13, 2017, 02:43:34 PM
yesterday when i saw the other topic about litecoin and "sell the news" about SegWit thing i placed a couple of orders at different prices but when i saw the ~100BTC in front of my first order vanish after a short while and also saw the orderbook in that picture i linked, i decided to change things around a bit.

sadly my 0.013BTC order is not yet filled but at least i got some orders filled, the lowest it went was 0.0157BTC on bittrex i guess and it doesn't seem to be going any lower for the time-being.

and i think the 0.013BTC that happened on 9th was the worst case scenario of dumping and mostly because of poloniex mass panic because of all other alts dumping!

It only hit .013 on Polo due to their inability to keep their platform stable. The ripple effect was stong.

0.013 are you mad or something?

To go to 0.022 - 0.025 again?

This possible only in dreams.

Do not underesteemed Litecoin with Lighting Network it will hit ATH..Realisticaly no lower than 0.016..0.015 is a luck allready.

Yes, the 0.013 dip was triggered by the panic selling people on Poloniex as they say the site constantly going down for mainteinance due the DDOS attacks and people selling their margins, but don't understimate the psychological factor of technical analysis. What I mean by this is, a lot of people is now expecting a 0.013-0.014 retest only because we tested it already.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 214: Cormier vs Jones 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: May 13, 2017, 01:43:22 PM
Daniel is really strong. He did some amazing takedowns WWE style in the last fight where he moved Bones Jones around like a lanky ragdoll. But this time Bones Jones has put on some mass and is not as skinny tho.

In about 2:50 here you can see the great takedown:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Grvep9n8rJ8

He lifts him up like its nothing lol.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 214: Cormier vs Jones 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: May 12, 2017, 10:32:39 PM
Have to be thinking Jones for the win, the guy is a beast, a thoroughbred. I will be betting on him to win by KO.

Totally agree, Jones is mine favorite too. I will bet something like 0.1BTC but just for a win. KO part is too risky for my taste.

DO you know an option to watch it for free?

Pretty sure there will be live streams on p2p programs like sopcast or the new Acestream which is pretty cool. There are always livestream to be found on reddit usually

Remember that watching livestreams is illegal... there is like a 0.000001% of getting reported or something so I would use a VPN but most likely nobody gives a fuck that you are watching copyrighted material.
678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC retracing back to support line? on: May 12, 2017, 05:37:05 PM
Unfortunately, my buy order was set at 0.0147... so I woke up with an unfilled order.

that is why you spread the orders.
do what i did (read your above comment) place some orders at different levels with different amounts that you feel are best suited to spread then this way you have a better chance of getting at least something out of the dips.

remember that this is only good when you have confidence in future price rise but it won't work if market is on a dumping spree which each dip being lower than the other.

I've found that it puts too much psychological stress having different entry orders because I have to keep track of all of them. I like to have a single price to worry about and going all in at a pretty conservative price can work out. My buy order right now is set at 0.0143. Im hoping that we will retest 0.0131 for a double dip then a recovery where I would sell at around 0.0165 before I decide if I want to keep holding this or not because I fear a big dump before long term recovery.

Why it should dump? based on what?

Well, usually when support lines are broken people tend to panic sell. Anything can happen tho, but if the lowest we go is 0.0135 ish then it's good news, if we go lower then the current channel would be broken and some may decide to panic sell. Im keeping my buy order at around medium 0.145 and hoping we dip again on there as the initial hype of segwit fades until we get more LN news.

If Daniel Cormier had his reach then he would ave better chances, but he is the underdog.
He could not do anything to increase his reach, why is everyone talking about increasing anyones reach and height advantage when they really cannot do anything about that because Jon Jones enjoys his perks because he is having unfair advantage with his reach and height.  Cheesy Tongue Just start accepting that Jon Jones is so gifted genetically and he has a fight IQ than the rest and so is the reason he is unbeaten. Tongue

Im not talking about increasing his reach obviously, im just saying that if he had a bigger reach he would get a bigger chance at winning.

But you have to be realistic, Jon Bones Jones has the biggest reach on the entire UFC which is an huge advantage when combined with high skills, high athleticism etc.

DC will need to do something amazing to beat Bones.
