If anybody is interested in beta testing the XWallet ISO (which will be used as the master image for the XC-TOR-STICK) - please contact me, and I will provide a link to the ISO file

662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] X11/PoS/Privacy on: June 25, 2014, 08:21:42 PM
Ladies and gents, we are very proud to announce the XC TOR Stick!

Yes, XC now has TOR to obfuscate your IP address. Privacy just got even more private.

And XC is now ultraportable.

Press release:
http://xc-official.com/XCPlatform/xc-tor-stick/14-06-25_Press_release-XC_TOR_Stick.pdf

very nice, an iso based on debian or some other linux distro to boot directly from the usb stick would also be a nice feature - the iso could also include the blockchain to shorten time one needs to sync with the network, a 32gb stick should be fine to store everything. together with tor this would leave no traces on the pc/network and keyloggers and trojans are a problem of yesterday Wink

This a linux based distro, and it boots directly from the USB stick, and it will have the blockchain on it

My wallet doesn't sync, probably going to the wrong fork every time I try to synchronize it (deleting everything in .badgercoin etc). I've tried adding the nodes in the first post as well, might as well try adding them with connect to force them... but the question is: do we have any bootstrap somewhere?
Thanks!

Make sure to delete peers.dat too, we are looking into a way of blocking users stil on the old wallet causing this issue.

No bootstrap yet, will look into creating one.

To block old users, update the version.h file

static const int PROTOCOL_VERSION

and

static const int MIN_PROTO_VERSION   -<<< this is how you block old clients

Updated Logo's

http://xc-official.com/XCPlatform/branding/logo/

In some cases these base images may be the ones that fit the application best. But we can also add various effects and treatments to the logo to meet the needs of specific uses. The important part is to maintain proportions and be consistent in message and presentation.

+1 to privacy platform

Are we not using the "Privacy Platform"  instead of "Flexible Currency"  - I think everyone thought Privacy Platform did justice... I am not sold on "Flexible Currency" ... Are we selling Privacy or are we selling Flexible Currency ?

Think Big Picture, XC Privacy Platform which has a component of "Flexible Currency", the platform is more than the just the currency

Right so, if we are to remain Consistent in our branding which is HIGHLY important.  We need to 100% make it firm that what people will see is "XC- Privacy Platform"  or "XC - Flexible Digital Currency"   ... Once whatever is approved by you (ATC) then that will be final and so thats what people should say from that point on to avoid market confusion.  We need to get the branding right from the Start.

XC - Privacy Platform, uses XCurrency - Flexible Digital Currency

For those using ubuntu

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:n00bsys0p/xc-official

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:bitcoin/bitcoin && sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install x11coin-qt

- this will install the base client and required deps

then you can just dpkg -i the new v1.51 package

XC already has the P2P anonymous feature in the wallet code now.. It will be enabled for user to user anonymous transactions (no masternode required) in an upcoming release

This is fucking huge!!

Anonymous transactions which are directly person to person with no masternode required!

Best decision I ever made, backing this coin + dev.

Basically this feature creates a new set of keys[one-time use] for the receiver --- which the sender users for this specific transaction, all handled by the client's themselves

How is crypt worth more than XC? They have double the total supply and ONLY a white paper... Lol?

do you have an updated ETA for REV 2?

Not at this time, but the development schedule will be posted when is it finalized (this week)

Also the user will have an option of which solution they want to use - they can go direct P2P or route through the mixer.

Go read the DRK whitepaper...and besides thats not the point....point is XC Dev now realised the XC architecture is FLAWED. End of Story.
If and I say if that were true that would have been awesome. That's the kind of coin and dev I want to invest with. One who if he sees a better way to help the coin and the community, takes some action.

Its Funny how things can be twisted....   As I stated before there is nothing flawed about the architecture and nor is being changed or thrown out.  XNode is similar to the foundation of a house, just because we are using a different brand lock on the door doesn't mean we demolish the entire thing.

It is a stupid argument made by somebody who doesn't even understand what the XC Platform is about or how powerful the XNode architecture is.

677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] X11/PoS/Privacy on: June 16, 2014, 04:01:18 AM

So what you are saying is you are going to throw the existing XNode architecture out the window and use Multi-Sig instead of transferring the ACTUAL coins through the mixers. What Darkcoin has and is already functional.

So basically this means that XC architecture 1.5 is STILL flawed and there is bad actor scenario's where coins can be stolen.

ya... as if DRk is completely working now right?   RC3 still isnt' out where the masternode actually can pay the operators and not fork like mad.   Why don't you come back when DRK is actually fully working first...?

DRK multi-sig IS working...only masternode payments. And before you say fork...XC had to be check-pointed and a new wallet released a few weeks ago from an unplanned fork!

Just to highlight to investors - everyone has been screaming that XC is flawed and now after all this development the Dev announces that he is going to COPY darkcoin's multi-sig architecture to get around the bad actor and coin stealing problem........what a

waste of time...

So what your saying is XC will copy #dorks closed source code?  I see.  Huh

Key word: ARCHITECTURE..not code, learn to READ..essentially the Dev has now realised his is flawed and now needs to make an XNode the SAME as a Masternode in Darkcoin.

Did you say the same thing about DRK masternode RC3 trying to go fix their payment and forking issue?

DRK architecture is so closed source... you have not a single idea of what DRK really is doing...   how can you say anything about architecture when you don't know yourself?

I have stealth923  on ignore, but nothing is changing in the XNODE architect and nor is it flawed.  It is the foundation for the XC Platform.

678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] X11/PoS/Privacy on: June 16, 2014, 03:00:21 AM
I don't see the whole "multipath" idea yet, but at least mixer outputs come from the 550XC masternode input rather than the senders inputs.

Can some further details or source code be provided for how the signatures for multipath/mixed transactions work for this release? It still doesn't look like there is any multisignature going on between the wallet and mixer wallet so in theory mixers can still steal coins in rev2?.

Not in rev2..  You cant steal coins

Can you address this with technical details or some proof.  I keep seeing people say that these coins will get stolen.  They are even talking about it in CINNI thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=573232.msg7335393#msg7335393

XC is in the near DUMP or a Pump-n-Dump right now. They released their new wallet. Anyone know if it is better than ours??My feeling it's a scam coin. Thoughts, comments? thnx.

~darylluke.

its a scam and not worth of mention in Cinni thread Wink

would you want a hold a coin that can stolen/lost because of xnode?  its completely experimental, people should able to expect that when they send coins somewhere it ends up at their intended destination, not someplace else because of malfunction or a bad xnode stealing coins.

Its unacceptable for your coins to be at risk because of experimental features.  Imagine you sent anon 100k XC somewhere and a bad xnode hijacks and sends it to their own address.  Shocked

Lets set the record straight

#1.  XC is not a scam coin.

#2.  XC's XNode technology is still under development

#3.  You can't send more than 10 XC's through the XNODE system, plus you have to use the debug console, so clearly it is Beta feature that is being tested to demonstrate the progress[and provide PROOF] and provide testing for the code.

#4.  REV2 Will use multisig to prevent stolen coins

Remember - this is a Beta release.

Are coins in danger with the beta release?

For normal transactions there is no risk

The multipath was tested extensively successfully but it does add some risk at this stage
