661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: mcxnow.com on: February 08, 2014, 02:06:54 AM
Unlike on most exchanges, you can actually withdraw coins from mcxnow.

What exchanges do you use where you can't withdraw coins?

give it a month or two.  you won't be withdrawing anything from mcxnow.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: mcxnow.com on: February 08, 2014, 01:59:25 AM
MAXCOIN + MCXNOW = THE EASIEST $20K I'VE EVER MADE IN 12HRS.    Cool

mcxnow is garbage.  stop trying to pump up a scam exchange.

Bunch of amateurs changing variables at a whim... What's next?

Nothing was changed in source code. It was always set to mine 10,000 coins per block after 600,000 blocks. It actually makes it more viable coin in terms of longetivity. Do your research before you troll. Oh... and by the way do you ever support any coins other than you launch. Readers look at his history. He launched flashcoin about half a year ago. The coin died in less than a week.

A nice article explaining dogecoin's strategy where bitcoin will fail.

http://www.businessinsider.com.au/dogecoin-just-solved-a-problem-bitcoin-will-face-2014-2

Other worth mentioning facts about dogecoin:
1. Higher network hashrate than litecoin, making it most secured scrypt coin in the world.
2. Second biggest community of anycoin, only after bitcoin. See their reddit sub with 55k subscribers.
3. Very efficient marketing. In media every day.

Wow very dilution coin. Guaranteed lose value every block. Dilution is new feature.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Dude - you could just leave them alone. They obviously do not want to be your accountant. Frankly, they probably think your really annoying.

Since you bought one you probably do not want any information coming out that might make people uncomfortable with their decision call for refunds out of fear.  You may not want transparency but the company did state it wanted to be as transparent as possible.  So let them be transparent.  Transparency is not reporting only the good things its also reporting what might be a problem.  So I welcome the additional information from someone that is near by their offices.

Keep up the good work Doc.
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ive just read that Ripple coin is centralised SO ITS a scam.True? on: February 05, 2014, 09:30:29 PM
I recommend people new to crypto currency not get involved with ripple, it is centralized with backing from wealthy investors who surprising hold large amounts of ripple. Bitcoin, especially Litecoin and Doge is the crypto-currency to get involved with.

Agreed
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hypothetical idea for better initial distribution of a new coin on: February 05, 2014, 09:04:57 PM
The problem with most coins seems to be that those people who got in at the start end up controlling a large amount of the coin which will hurt the coin in the long run due to increased price volatility and lack of wider community support, trust, and goodwill.  A coin with a more equal initial distribution may also fail due to lack of people having enough vested interest in it to drive development and promotion.

What we need is a coin which rewards early investors but not to the point that it puts off any further investment.

Helix coin.  Your wallet address is equal to your unique genetic code.  You enter a blood sample into your wallet and it generates and address for you and deposits 1 coin.  The fairest coin ever.  Everyone gets one.  Even the unborn will get a coin when they appear.  No premine, no instamine.
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Scharmbeck 'Stock' Dilemna on: February 05, 2014, 02:21:55 AM
You don't say... Worldcoin, who has a long history of engaging in shady activity, continues to engage in shady activity with their newest venture?

Groundbreaking stuff here. Roll Eyes

I don't deny the things covered in this post.  I don't even hold any scharmbeck shares.  But what other shady activity has worldcoin had?
UNOCS, for starters.

Or how about rolling back (with no prior notice) the blockchain to reimburse realsolid after a 51% attack? At everyone else's expense, of course.

I remember that.  So sad.

674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to jump to IFC and make some profits on: February 04, 2014, 12:17:52 AM
Looking at time chart...

It was already pumped...

Verdict: FU another stupid pump topic when the pump is running out of steam and no other sheeps are coming in

I was  an early miner on IFC and I've frozen  4 billion IFC in a cold wallet with no plans to  sell until it is much much higher. I'm not going to be the guy who dumped bitcoins at .50 only to see it go to $1000 in  3 years.

I'm waiting on  IFC to hit. .0001

Its people like you who are wasting the coin, trade ATLEAST 3/4 of it what a waste of a wallet, That was the Coin creaters biggest mistake allowings things like this to happen people that think there going to get rich by miininig and sitting on the billions of coins

And if you could do it you wouldn't be complaining. I was the one that mine IFC for 2 months straight. I was the  one that  saw potential. I was the one who bought 100 million IFC for 10 LTC when LTC was trading at $2.  If you had the sense you would have to.

If you want me to sell it, give me a reasonable offer and I will consider it. This isn't grade school, whining is not going to get you anything. Put on your big boy pants.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scrypt ASIC miners? on: February 03, 2014, 06:02:46 PM
coins have to be launched differently now, we cant allow these people to collect massive amounts of every coin the first day, they are essentially completely controlling the market when they end up with 60% or more of the coins mined. it defeats the purpose of cryptos when theirs no decentralization of mining like is starting to happen
+1 where is the idea of freedom for users?
we must make sure each person equally benefit alsoit's good in generalwise coin economy to market...

Yeah I agree!!!  Down with those GPU mining farms.  We should ban GPUs and engineer coins to be GPU resistant.  It sucks that they can mine tons of coins in the first day while us CPU miners can only get a few at a time because difficulty skyrockets!!!
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt ASICs? on: February 02, 2014, 06:54:00 AM

Nope they are real. People in the forum have them and are running test right now. Lets face it.... it will be the same cycle as Bitcoin... first CPU, then GPU then FPGA then ASIC's. SCRYPT will follow the same exact pattern.

I would say its almost to late to invest a large amount of capitol in GPU as everyone now will switch over to ASIC's.

What the hell...

Alpha T is the most obvious scam around.

I've ben following it for the past 2 months. Alpha-t seems legit.

Legit?  Depends.  They are inexperienced and are banking on an untested Indian fabricators they hope will be able to create the chips they want.  On top of that they are going straight to 23nm without vetting their design at larger scales.  I expect that they are going to have a lot of failures and will require additional capital to meet the orders they have.  THey have high hopes but they haven't had their bubble burst yet.  I bet they will not be able to deliver by Q3 and worst case they may not have the capital to keep their orders.  They may go bankrupt.

LoL comparing FTC with Doge and actually thinking FTC was bigger than DOGE.

Well maybe I think so because I got lucky with Doge and not lucky with FTC Grin

Yeah, that is anecdotal evidence.  You should have been there when FTC was launched.  It was a "copper" to LTC "silver", and was going to overtake LTC.  CHNCoin, was going to be huge, 1 CHNCoin for each Chinese citizen.

There were a lot of bagholders and still are today that hold BTC that are trying to double down and get out.
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DogeCoin already bigger than Litecoin on: February 01, 2014, 03:47:17 AM
LOL @ people claiming doge is God when its only a few months old.

They said the same thing about feathercoin.

I remember feathercoin I got rich off that and chinacoin when they were first released and put on btc-e.com.  I dumped every last dime of it and they never reached the price they started at.  I think at the open 1 FTC = 1 BTC.  LOL!!!

genuine question:

Was any of the these coin you mention, or any of previous coins as popular as dogecoin?

Meaning in volume? Seems like doge has some huge numbers in individual buys/sell, and a lot more people are holding. There seem to be a lot of doge wallets have gotten downloaded. Scary numbers.

Have there been an equal in popular awareness?

Yes much more so.  Feathercoin was huge at the time and Chinacoin was just as big.  So big that btc-e.com added them to their exchange in a matter of a few weeks (this was before cryptsy existed and everyone trade on google spreadsheets).

btc-e.com has bid/asks in BTc of up to 100 BTC in FTC on bid and ask.  DOGE is nowheres near this.  FTC network grew as big as LTC at the time.  Again you really had to be there.  All you know is what happened in the last few months.  There is a lot of history in cryptos in the last 3 years.
