It's probable alien life exists. It's not probable they have visited earth. +1 +1 +1 It would surprise me if life only existed on Earth. But there is zero scientific evidence of any kind of visitation. @j603 I teach biology and am very failure with the "Martian Bacteria". Among scientist this is not even close to proving anything. The strongest statement that can be made it that one can not prove these structures are not bacteria. But make no mistake, life has never been found anywhere other than Earth. so far. |

... Those who own guns, own a huge pride baggage that comes with it. Yoi just cannot let it sit quietly in your locker/holster. You will need to take it out for occasion, to show it to your friends, or clean it a bit too often, just to look at it, or to feel it. And in some countries it is completely ok.
I have never removed my gun from my holster outside of my home/range. Where I live it is illegal to un-holster in public. I have shown it to a few friends in private. But most people who know me have no idea at all that I carry. You seem to be describing what YOU would do if you had a gun. People who know guns do not do theses things in my experience. I think it can go either way. I have friends who certainly tote their weapons. However, I also live in NH where open carry is allowed. Good point. And I can't speak for everyone, undoubtedly some fool out there can't keep it in his pants. That is very bad form IMO. I think of it like rock climbing. I only climb with seriously safe climbers, and most climbers do take it seriously. But when I meet someone who is "self taught" or otherwise learned to climb outside of climbing culture they may do lots of stupid things. It is like that in gun culture also. You can tell if someone is trained in firearms from the moment they handle a gun. |

Coinbase has not verified my bank account after three days of waiting. Don't know if that is standard.
Not sure how long it should take. But when dealing with banking that does not seem long. As far as wallets... The most important thing to know is that you should make multiple copies of your wallet and store them like they are real wallets. If you loose your wallet, you have lost whatever was in it. No going back. |

We are in phase that makes it hard to get bitcoins easily in th US. But it has been much, much worse. I bought my first coins for .74 by sending cash in the mail to a person I knew only by their internet name. And to a phony address in another country. My wife was like, "goodbye money". lol, but it all worked out.

Hmmm. well it sounds like your all squared away on your side. How annoying. I would still suspect incompetence over scamming however. They have a cash cow of a business and should be quite profitable without resorting to a stealing. Not that incompetence is an excuse.

I am guessing a bit here, but I wonder about the size of your withdrawal. Moving anything over 10K internationally is subject to a whole slew of laws. My understanding is that Gox now has to comply with KYC and AML regulation. They may need things like your fingerprints and photo ID's before they are able to transfer money.
