I am relatively new on this and was just invited by a friend to join. I sold mine months ago so I really don't have much. I was thinking that I would have been deathly afraid if I had any bitcoin and this happened. I know it isn't the first time so maybe it will be a good time to buy?
Of course who wouldn't be worried when the price of bitcoin is going down? Although the drop has stopped already and its seems the price is stable around $6.2k and I'm glad it didn't go below the $6k mark again. Yep, its a good buying point because the price could increased again. |

I have been just in the crypto world for 5 months. I have tried to learn about blockchain, bitcoin, altcoins,... and I realize that blockchain is being abused.
Many projects are launched with the ideas of using blockchain. But actually, blockchain is not necessary to implement their projects. It just seems to follow the trend of tokenization. And their tokens are utility tokens, real "utility", which are utilized to raise their funds. There is no reality application of blockchain. I think everything will be good if it is enough. Will blockchain become worst if they continuely abuse it?
What do you think about this problem?
Good point. Most of them are really copy cat as well. They just change the names and then we have another project with another promise. But if you look closely, there's nothing significant and obviously no real usage. They will just raised funds and then be gone for gone, or worst, another scam project. |

I think ethereum is gaining more acceptance among business and that is why we are seeing many icos using it to raise funds from the public.
Well its the number 1 choice for ICO to raised funds. But sadly, the same ICO that put ETH to its all time high is dumping as well. We should not undermined the significant of this in cryptocurrencies development because a particular coins must be adopted for a particular purposes and that is what I see with ethereum and fund raising.
But competitors like EOS are slowly gaining ground. I believed that this 2 will battle it out as to who will the dominant choice of ICO projects. |

Actually, it's true that ETH is struggling from last 7-8 months. It's not increasing at all now. That's why I am not too sure that the ETH price will reach $1000 at the end of the year. But I am very hopeful it can be reached at $1000 at the end of this year I think. Although it's a matter of time. So let's hope for the best.
It will take like x3 or more of the current price. And we don't know where ETH will get that investors money to get to 4 digits at the end of the year so I doubt that it can go near that numbers. Yes, its just a matter of time but not this year though. There's too much dumping going on and everyone is not looking for long term profits because of uncertainty. |

The only advantage is that diversification. At least 10 coins is enough for me to manage and check my portfolio everyday and do trading from time to time.
And when you liquidate, rinse and repeat. Look for another good coin and dump when you have a good ROI already.

trading bots I often find in altcoin trading with low value, but in trading bitcoin bots are only seen passing and disappearing
bot in my opinion in bitcoin trading is only to disrupt humans not for price manipulation
I guess its much easier to use trading bots if someone really wants to manipulate the market. It's just that it will take billions of dollars for them to manipulate bitcoin's value. The good thing right now is that bitcoin remained strong and slowly holding its ground towards the bull trend. If course bot can be really manipulate the price on the market as we have seen the trend in the last months or so. They can literally take billions in minutes and put in on their favour. As far as bitcoin, yes its strong but I'm sure that bot is running wild as well because it looks like we are just trading sideways but the minute we gain enough for bots to put crazy orders then the price could go down anytime soon. |

We are experiencing serious downfall in the past few months. But i think the market will still recover soon. So keep holding the good days are about to come.
I agree with you, destruction should not make someone panic because it will worsen the market situation, let's still positive thinking that market will to the moon soon Of course you can't blame them to experienced panic because its human nature. And probably they haven't witnessed this sudden down ward trend because everyone is expecting a bull run to continue. But obviously, crypto is already overbought and a bubble so it burst. Yes, we need that kind of attitude, we need to be very positive and optimistic that we can see another massive bull run in 2019-2020. |

Of course, specially with the next halving coming up, the price could pick around that time 2020 and probably hit ATH again. Do you see less projects?
On the contrary I see projects popping up like mushrooms in the next 5 years. Do you see a merger of many projects?

We might see countries really choosing sides in the next couple of years, its either your pro-crypto or not. More acceptance?

Good to hear that. Because there's a lot of news going around speculating what would happen if Vitalik leaves Ethereum. At least he confirms it and now those speculators will be quiet because they're putting a lot of spin on it even saying that Ethereum will suddenly die as well when Vitalik goes out.

There are so many speculations that are coming out. Whether bitcoin will continue to fall. Or bitcoin will reach all time high again or higher. But we should not easily believe their predictions. And i don't believe that what will happen in the past will happen again this year. For me even if bitcoin is stable at $6000 is always ok.
Past performance doesn't really mean future success, specially wit the kind of volatility we have in this market. So its really up to us to really invest on dips on just hold on our coins in this bear season. It has the advantages so I guess everyone should try to be flexible specially majority of us didn't know how to react at this kind of bearish situation because most of us aren't even here during the last great dip. |

It is true that PM Malta has said that Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency are the future currencies, and this is sure to be accepted by the whole world, but not for now. Like what PM Malta said, the President in my country has also made a statement that Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency are the development of modern technology, the people inevitably have to be ready to accept them.
Its really inevitably and Malta really see a big potential of crypto or blockchain that they decided long time ago to embraced it eventhough there's a lot of backlash from other countries. UN is a good stage to send a message across so I'm sure that other world leaders who are still in the grey area are contemplating whether to accept it and be supportive as Malta does. |

That's why we need to be money-wise because if we aren't all the profit will be gone in an instant. We have seen a lot of personalities in the past making bad investments and they think they can recoup it however, they failed. With that said, we should learn how to stop and enjoy our profit from time to time so that we won't get burned as well. There's nothing wrong in taking a break so that you will come back and try to win in this game again. |

Technically yes, ETH can still breaks its highest record, the question is just when. No one thought that it can hit all-time-high this year so it goes the same, we will never know and only time can tell.
And competition is slowly creeping in, EOS and XRP are its biggest competition so we also need to factor that as well if we wanted to make a prediction as to when its going to breach another all-time-high.

Well that's what everyone is hoping for. Having ETF will somewhat bring legitimacy to bitcoin ecosystem, thus institutional investors will come and enter and pour their cash and we might see a reversal. But in case that a ETF rejection, we can still survive though and possible that the price can also rebound but it will take a lot of time for a recovery. |

Its more of a bull trap, lol. If you are referring to bitcoin then sorry to tell but there will be no bull runs because the market is currently on a stagnant phase. No one doesn't want to enter because they are all afraid that they are going to lose and no one wants to risk its anymore.

Weird though, MEW is the best wallet afaik regarding ERC20 based tokens and ETH. Its not MEW problems if you got phished or something, you have to blame yourself for not protecting your password or Private Keys. If you know how to safely guarded it, then that's your problem. Its beyond the control of MEW if the gas is high, it up to ETH network if its clogged or not. |

Funny though. I haven't earn a single merit but I don't like to trade or buy one. I think it will eventually come one day. And for those who are trying to cheat the system. I do hope that mods will just ban you here. I started as a lurker and I try to learn how all this crypto works before joining campaigns but those bounty hunters who got demoted really wanted to get back and continue their "dreams" here, so to speak.
