6621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How Sure Are You That You Invested In A Right New Coin? on: September 22, 2019, 01:25:05 AM
It's hard to invest in a new coin with the so many scam reports about new coins, they are promising a lot giving a new concept and making huge promotion about their coin, so you'll just invest in their coin
How Sure Are You That You Invested In A Right New Coin?
6622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: May Altcoin have chance to rally even if Bitcoin dominance is below 70%? on: September 22, 2019, 12:59:59 AM
If Bitcoin Dominance is Below 70%, And Altcoin is back to a sideway trend did you think that the Altcoin may have a chance if not reclaim the number 1 slot which is not gonna happen, but in just having a fighting chance in the market of cryptocurrency to still increase in value in spite the value of Bitcoin not going any where what can you guys say about this?

https://news.u.today/news/top-3-price-predictions-btc-eth-xrp-bitcoins-dominance-is-below-70-altcoins-are-back-to-a

The only altcoins that have a good chance are those on the top 10 for new coins in the market, I don't think it's going to happen, it's not yet the season for altcoins, they are sharing for the 13% shares of the market.
the best thing to do is to make the majority of your coins/tokens all in the top 10 coins in the market, make it 70 to 80%
of course, we have a desire to be one of the early bird of a new coin but it will be a very long wait if you have invested in a good new coin.
6623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not trust New wallets with your fund on: September 21, 2019, 04:50:52 PM
The reason why i don't like new wallets
1. They always have low users which means they have nothing new to offer, even if new users try them out, once they don't see any thing new they bounce back to their old wallet, repetitive at work

2. Many new wallets on playstore can't be trusted, they have different set of aims, some have access to your private keys but they will fool users thinking you are the only one in control of the private keys and some don't  give out private keys to users, they work as online wallet

I never use new wallets coming from Playstore and I recommend users not to use, there are so many of them, we should only trust wallets that have a good reputation and proven to be safe and always have an update.

I only use a ledger wallet and MyCrypto desktop wallet, I've been using these two for the last two years, and I'm ok with it I have 5 wallets for specific usage, there are a lot of new wallets coming in, I prefer to wait for several months and read reviews on how good these wallets are before I use it.
6624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS THERE A REGULATORY BODY on: September 21, 2019, 03:51:08 PM
I have been wondering since I join bitcoin and ethereum trading. Is there a regulatory body for bitcoin price? If there is none, what are the factor responsible for both the bull run and the bear market.

There is no regulatory body and there should not be one, it's decentralized and anonymous, I think you should go back to basics on what and how Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency operate and it's underlying principles, go to Youtube and check videos there.
Bull run and bear operates in supply and demand, I wonder where are you trading and why you did not know this, this is basic of any trading platform.
6625  Economy / Economics / Re: I am Building a Crypto District in New York City on: September 21, 2019, 03:14:33 PM
I support your dream and your goal, it's not going to be easy but don't do it by yourself ask for helps from experts in that area I'm sure you can find one, you can form a group, ask people to share their experiences, give them pamphlets, and most important lead by example you should be an investor, if you reach that goal, people can imitate what you've achieved in that region.
6626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is best freelancer platform for crypto service provider on: September 21, 2019, 02:30:29 PM
Dear Community

I would like to know which is the best freelancer platform for a crypto  service provider.

Fiverr is a great place to offee your Cryptocurrency related services I paid for 3 gigs and they have a good quality, unfortunately, they are not accepting Bitcoin now, they used to accept last year, but they've disabled it, another one I recently stumble is a new one
https://www.banigig.com/ they offer affordable gigs and if you have some services to offer this is a good place to start.
They accept Paypal and Bitcoin as payment.
6627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Own Version Of Martingale Your Opinion on: September 21, 2019, 01:38:02 PM
There are a lot of topic about martingale now, and I'm sure many of us employ their own version of Martingale,
This is my own version of Martingale it's actually time-consuming, but I'm not going to make a living in gambling I just want to be entertained and have some fun and I want to extend my enjoyment.

My strategy is I started off with 10 sats I just add or double my bet the next time if I lose so if I lose 5 straight and win on my 6th I started my bet again on the bottom.

My reason is I want to extend my funds so every time I regain my losses I just started my bet to the minimum again
I've done it over and over again and I can extend my funds for 3 to 4 hours sometimes I made money but I never make a withdrawal
I just call it a day and come back tomorrow with additional funds and a possible extension of time having fun.

I've already written how I've lost a lot of money with this very strategy. The most interesting thing is that such a strategy works if you have enough capital to bet when you have at least 20 losses in a row. If you do not have such funds, sooner or later you will all lose. Recently, more and more people are saying that the strategy of the game on Martingeyl does not work in the casino.
I'm pretty sure many high rollers are using and experiencing with Martingale, they have the funds they can extend and fight the house edge if it really is a Provably Fair then they will eventually win the game as long as they can keep up with the funds.
A martingale is a good tool for high rollers but you will need big luck if you are going to use it with a limited funds to bet.
6628  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin up to $20,000 before 2020? on: September 21, 2019, 01:04:02 PM
Great analysis imo! https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/will-bitcoin-reach-20k-before-2020/

My key takeaways:

  • More and more people are using crypto as a way to diversify their investment portfolio
  • Brexit is a mess and this only helps Bitcoin
  • The trade war is a mess too and this only helps Bitcoin
  • Price patterns favor a $20,000 bull-run by the end of the year
  • There is a massive FOMO sentiment amongst crypto enthusiasts

Thoughts?

Ok so we are three months to go before the end of the year and so far Bitcoin is still trading at $10k level just the other day it went down to $9900, we all wants and hoping that we get past the $10k level, we're having a bad months the price has been stuck here for quite some time.
What I'm saying is, if we are to go to the $20,000, next month will be a good indication, so let's see everybody's hoping
6629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Table of New Bounty and Airdrop on Bitcointalk!!!!! on: September 21, 2019, 12:11:21 PM
Bounty hunters should thank you for doing this but I notice one bounty campaign has a bad report in the scam sections and you stated that if there are scam reports in your list we should report, I hope you can address this issue, many are going to use your spreadsheet, and they want only have legit projects but Byzbit already has a flag and a negative trust.
6630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How many crypto exchanges are really required? on: September 21, 2019, 11:49:51 AM
Many exchanges is really nice because it means that cryptocurrency are become popular so many people create exchanges.
The good with is also we can choose best exchanges for us like Binance the no. 1 exchange now but Im still trading in different exchanges because better to use several exchanges not just only 1 need to use atleast minimum of 3 exchanges.

It's really good for the market last year we have seen so many exchanged based ICO many of them reached their soft cap, in the coming years we will see a high level of competition between these exchanges, it's a multi-million dollar industry they know it, they will be completing with how good their securities are, features that they can offer to their members, let's see if any of these new exchanges can challenge Binance.
6631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5Dimes founder found dead in Costa Rica a year after abduction on: September 20, 2019, 03:06:34 PM
Even the $1-million ransom paid by William Sean Creighton's wife to the kidnappers was to no avail.

After having being reported missing for almost a year, the founder of 5Dimes sportsbook was found dead in Costa Rica, the local police confirmed.

Source: https://www.bitcoinsportsbetting.co.uk/news/5dimes-founder-found-dead/

This is how risky for a popular gambling operator to travel to a place he is not familiar, he should employ a lot of bodyguards since he has a lot of  money, this is a warning to all gambling operator, they will not want to identify their real identity to any popular gambling site, for fear that this crime will also happen to them.
the criminals are very cruel they should have let him since he pays $1 million already, this is already a big amount in their currency.
6632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you desperately looking for exchanges to dump your altcoins on: September 20, 2019, 02:37:32 PM
These altcoins or shitcoins has become an eyesore every time I checked my wallets three wallets full of shitcoins, I'm desperately looking to trade or dump these altcoins, because it just reminds me of wasted time and money.
Are you also desperately looking to dump your altcoins.

I used to be like that but then I realized it is just another waste of time and it is stressful too, thinking those months of effort.  But now, I just let it sit on my wallet look at it as a lesson and experience.  Just accept the fact that we cannot do anything on those worthless token. Stop stressing yourself and move on.
But sometimes you have to check if there is a market for this shitcoins, just four months ago I found exchange where I can trade 2 of my shitcoins after so many months of waiting I dump it because if I will not I will never have a chance again, but if I did not checked it I would have not traded those shitcoins, so it's better to spend 5 minutes weekly to check if there is a market for your shitcoins.

6634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There has never been a worse time to hold altcoins on: September 20, 2019, 01:49:19 PM
If I have away and there are exchanges where I can dump these shitcoins that has been in my wallet for months I would have done it, right now I;m still in a look for a way to dump, there's no hope, developers have their money so they can go on vacation while we wait to hope for a miracle to happen.

This is indeed the worst time since I came in here, two years ago my mantra was HODL HODL now it was replace by DUMP DUMP.
6635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of tokens you promoted and invested down 90% on: September 20, 2019, 01:05:13 PM
If the team wants the project to be successful, they will update their project, do good promotion and maintain their toke. Eventually people will see it as a potentially useful token and invest in it. But if the team is sleeping and inactive, no investor will be interested, and the coin will lose its value and inevitably die off.

So many coins are like that, their best alibi is the market is not in a good condition and there's nothing they can do but wait for the market to get better before they make an update, One example is Bitmillex after distributing the bounty campaign they disable commenting in their telegram channel, because investors and bounty hunters are asking for updates.
Bitmillex developers like Malcolm is the reason why ICO is dying crowdfunding in Cryptocurrency
6636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Spence Jr vs Porter on: September 20, 2019, 11:48:09 AM
This is gonna be a great match,  Porter fan here because I love underdog and I like to have Spence his first loss because this is so favorite to win in this fight. I just like to try my luck betting on the dog as the return is bigger, in boxing nowadays upsets happen, yes, if Porter will win, this could be an upset because Porter is undervalued in this fight.

According to - https://www.boxingscene.com/spence-porter-fox-countdown-show-drew-604000-viewers--142428

Quote
Most odds-makers have installed the unbeaten Spence as at least a 9-1 favorite over Porter.
Great odds for the underdog.

9-1 is very huge it's a shut off for porter and tho think Porter is a former champion I don't think the gap is not that wide, Spence uses his jab and reaches effectively the proof is on his last fight against Garcia, but Porter can slug it out, we have a good and should close fight here not this kind where Porter is a big underdog.

That's one key strength of Porter, and I'm sure that it will be his game plan from the time the bell rings.

Spence will used his jab, Porter trying to negate it by coming inside and slugging it out and try to test Spence ability. So it's really going to be close as well,  9-1 is disrespectful to say the least because Porter is also a world champion.

Whoever wins this match will face Manny Pacquiao and this could be the biggest test on Manny Pacquiao's campaign, both fighters are on their prime, they are not coming up from a long lay off, like what happens to Thurman whose performance suffers from a long lay off.

But I agree that it's a big injustice for Porter to have an underdog tag, this guy is no patsy, he can fight and it's hard to dominate him with his style.
6637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are to be blame on: September 20, 2019, 10:44:51 AM

Really if there is anyway to erase scammers off crypto space it would have been better, 2019 would have bring better results for altcoins if not for scam projects everywhere scamming new investors, now scammers are scaring off new crypto investors wannabe since there is no trust or whatsoever and investors don't want to lose money either, whatever the next altcoin results is going to be will not be huge as many expected due to investors not trusting new altcoins anymore, no wonder why binance launchpads are selling out in seconds.

This is what happens if there is no regulation and every developer can do whatever he wanted without answering to any regulatory body, ICO's are operating in trust, and they are free to break that trust for money and these scammers are getting away, without obligation to authorities.

Quote
If crypto space is just like how binance managed IEO project in return for their own reputation altcoins will be skyrocketing right now because much more money will flow in, exchanges like binance is giving out trust investment that i really hope the entire altcoin space can do the same but its a shame scammers are robbing off the trust
Binance is a big savior for investors, without Binance there will be no crowdfunding anymore, investors feel safe and secure and Binance makes things easy, they do not have to do an assignment on looking for the right project to invest
6638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ask The Bounty Team before joining on: September 19, 2019, 04:11:35 PM
Recently, I just had this bad experience with a bounty campaign I joined (Vanta to be specific). They've extended the campaign, added some task, and threatened participants that they'll not get all the bounty rewards if they won't participate. I raised my concerns to the bounty manager and I was quite disappointed with the response.

To all fellow hunters, you may want to ask this questions to your bounty managers before joining a campaign:

1. Bounty campaign extension
- Will the team ask for an increase in the bounty pool?
- Will the team close the registration and allow only those participants prior to extension?

2. ICO team inserting rules after the campaign
- Will the team allow ICO teams add rules like exchange voting and require hunters to participate?
- What would be the bounty team's response if ICO teams would withhold the bounty rewards to force hunters to participate?

These questions might help you understand how strong the bounty manager is when it comes to protecting its group of bounty hunters.

Disclaimer: I've also posted a similar topic in other forums I'm into. In case someone checks my post for plagiarism

Even if you asked these questions and get a satisfactory answer, there is no guaranty that they will not change the rule, because almost all bounty managers can change the rule anytime to the advantages of the campaign.

I have asked one bounty manager that there will be no KYC and he says yes, only to change later that they are now implementing KYC because of the very old alibi of bounty hunters cheating.
6639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Altcoins PurgeThe Advantages Brought By Bear Market on: September 19, 2019, 03:44:05 PM
So many projects or coins are dying or become shitcoins because of the bear market and only coins with real potential in the market has a chance to make it through the bull run.
Do you think the bear market is a good way to purge coins that are not worthy to be in the market, I believe the bear market is a good parameter to see if the market has a good potential.
6640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigerian crypto educator returns $80k in bitcoin recieve by mistake. on: September 19, 2019, 03:09:41 PM
This threads is as a respond to the numerous replies on my previous thread proclaiming everything Nigeria is been associated with negatively. The actual truth is the good/positive incident aren't been circulated like the negative news. The media are mostly interested in painting the country bad. This incident of a bitcoin entrepreneur returing 7.8 BTC (worth around $80,000 when the transaction occurs) is an example we do have good individuals among us. I did follow the development of the story when i saw his tweet informing about the mistake although I'll be linking you guys to a more reliable source.

Keith Mali Chung — the co-founder and president of African blockchain firm Loopblock Network — has returned almost $80,000 worth of Bitcoin (BTC) mistakenly sent to his wallet.

Chung — who goes by the Twitter handle of “Bitcoin Keith (The African Bitcoin Bull)” — tweeted about the incident on Sept. 12:
“I received huge sum of BTC from an unknown sender and it’s definitely a mistake from someone I must have had transaction with before, Kindly DM me time of transaction, your adress and exact digits sent..
thank you. Kindly retweet”

In a further update on Sept. 13, Chung revealed that the exact sum of apparently accidentally transferred Bitcoin was 7.8 BTC — worth $79,482 to press time. He also indicated that the sender who remains anonymous had responded to his request, meaning he was able to return the funds. He explained:

“In Africa, which is where I am situated, 80% we transact Cryptos through WhatsApp escrows and someone who himself and I had business in the past made this huge mistake of sending 7.8BTC into my blockchain wallet. I spread the words round & he reached out.”

Chung’s actions earned him significant social media acclaim and even the moniker of “African/Nigerian good samaritan” on crypto Twitter. Had he failed to identify the sender, he had pledged to donate the accidentally-gotten proceeds to Binance, which organizes a series of philanthropic projects via its charity arm, Binance Charity.

In conclusion, Nigerians are enthusiast of this currency (bitcoin), Any Nigerian who have encounter the currency and invested wisely can testify it has had more effects in their life than the government had during that timeframe😁 all I'm trying to say is we mean well towards the adoption of the currency. Although this is a story of just one individual, there are many of us out there who would had done the same.

I can vouch for Nigerians  that they are good people, I'm not a Nigerian and had a lot of Nigerian friends and bad and good people exist in every country, it should not be associated to one nationality alone, going back to the Nigerian crypto educator who returns $80k in bitcoin received by mistake,  it's a good marketing for Bitcoin $80k is a big amount, and it will go higher because of Bitcoin's potential in the market.
