6701  Economy / Economics / Re: How could bitcoin fix the SWIFT system on: December 01, 2014, 01:19:10 PM
Bitcoin is much better than swift. Much more advanced. Swifts are way too costly.

Yes, I think the same. If you want to send bitcoin you will spend only ~ 0.01 $ (fee) so I think it is better than a lot of other method of payment and also other currencies (this is obviously).
6702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you ready for Bitcoin Giving Tuesday? December 2nd! on: December 01, 2014, 01:14:13 PM

6705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi will donate all his coins to the world's poorest people in the future. on: December 01, 2014, 11:55:30 AM
However I also think he is not more interested in the bitcoin world.

Show me a real living person pls, who wouldn't be interested in something what worth hundreds of millions of USD Smiley.

I know it is improbable , but some people don't want a lot of money but only the "right" money to live in dignity. One of them is : satoshi . Now have you a reply for my question ?

why he didn't sell it in the previous $ 1,2k bubble? This is the real question.

6707  Economy / Economics / Re: Satoshi didnt give us bitcoin to make a bunch of nerds rich. on: December 01, 2014, 11:10:10 AM
He made Bitcoin so you could escape enslavement by the financial system. Satoshi gave you life, he gave you the power to control your destiny!

It's easy to lose sight of the real purpose of Bitcoin during these bearish times. I felt the need to give that reminder.

i assume satoshi wanted his invention to get adopted large scale. this can only happen if 1) coins get distributed far and well and 2) coins must be able to absorb a huge market cap in order to be used widely. current btc must get WAY more valuable to reach those goals. as a side effect, earlier adopters profit a lot. it is a reward for having the guts to step in early. i donīt think satoshi minds btc users getting rich.

Yes, I think the same but I don't think the "speculators" will be happy ,because more people have bitcoin and more the price of it will drop. I think my thought is right , or am I wrong?

6708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining v Hacking on: December 01, 2014, 11:06:04 AM
Where is the user, with this nice little picture about what amount of energy you would need for that ?

"Someone summoned me"

Are you thinking of this one?

http://miguelmoreno.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/fYFBsqp.jpg
Yay Smiley
I love this picture, I should bookmark it ^^

Yes, it really but things in perspective.
Also help illustrate how big of a number 2^256 is, most people have an idea that it is big, but not how big it really is.

As a side note: the number space of bitcoin private keys are "only" 2^160, since capital "O", the capital "I" and the lowercase "l", as well as the number "0" is excluded.

But 2^160 is till a very very very very very large number.

It's almost impossible , you can't live "for ever". This is a great image that explain you better :

Thanks to @TookDk.
6709  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My btc has been robbed? on: December 01, 2014, 10:54:09 AM
I sent 0.0005btc from A btc address to my B btc address.

However, the blockchain.info wallet says the B wallet contains transactions which may be double spends.

And then, the 0.0005BTC was transfered to one new address which does not belong to me.

I tried to send another 0.02BTC from A to B, the same result.

The funds have not been sent back yet.

My funds have been taken?

Can you provide also the TX id ? So we can help you , without the "data" it is a little bit complicated give you an help.
6710  Economy / Marketplace / Re: First BitcoinComic: The hunt for Satoshi. Be the first to have one! on: December 01, 2014, 10:21:14 AM
....

We will anounce next week that our publisher will be the first comic book publisher in the world (as far as we know) to accept bitcoins for the whole collection for the webshop, but Comixology.com has its own policy. It would be great to organize a campaign with them to motivate them to accept bitcoins, but I think they would need to get hundreds of twitter messages and emails to get interested.

Would be awesome if we can convince them to accept bitcoins Smiley

Oh thanks for the reply , then I'm waiting to your news. I really  would like to buy a .pdf copy, thanks again.
6711  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Conspiracy Theory of Bitcoin on: December 01, 2014, 09:57:47 AM
If they want to ban it the have first to ban the internet. The bitcoin protocol works over the internet connection, and it is better then gold because it is "immaterial" and without "weight" so you can send it in all the world without any cost ( only ~0.01 $ of fee) and without any restriction.

They can still ban it without literally stopping it or shutting down the Internet. For instance, drugs are banned and the plants they come from are generally illegal to grow yet the activity of producing, selling and taking them still happens. The comparison is also apt because if they did try ban it they would ultimately fail in doing so and regulation wouldn't kill its use either but just push it underground and create a thriving black market.

Yes , you're right. They can try to ban it but at the end they cannot. However I don't think they will ban it firstly , 1) the will try to control it , 2) they try to regulate it and 3)then they try to ban it.

Once again - thank for participating! I guess with some of you we will continue this cooperation on a private deal.

I've never heard the "New World Order" and I don't think it is related with the bitcoin protocol. I also don't think the governments can't "control" in any way the btc, maybe they can create a various "DUMP" situation but they cannot control it on the technical side.

Yeah I don't think they could control the technical side. But if a New World Order does happen, cryptocurrency would be one of the first things banned for sure and I could see the government manipulating their own kind of digital currency like Bitcoin. But the main point is:

The New World Order is the whole world becoming one and we all run under one ruler/goverment. Also meaning, one currency. Could Bitcoin be the next transition into a New World Order Currency? We currently do not have a world currency other than gold. Bitcoin in my opinion in the transition into a global currency that will be regulated by the top main governments: China, Russia, U.S, Canada, etc.....

If they want to ban it the have first to ban the internet. The bitcoin protocol works over the internet connection, and it is better then gold because it is "immaterial" and without "weight" so you can send it in all the world without any cost ( only ~0.01 $ of fee) and without any restriction.

Bitcoin is the currency of this world not of a new world order , we don't need any more the "pression" of the governments. We can control our economy and especially our coin.
6715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi will donate all his coins to the world's poorest people in the future. on: December 01, 2014, 09:34:16 AM
That would crash the price and will eventually increase the no. of poor. If he really wanna help, he needs to buy stuff slowly with those coins and giveaway those stuffs. Directly giving coins will do no good.
That would probably also have an immediate effect on the price as soon as it is made public that much of those old coins are back in circulation.
TL'DR: It's better if Satoshi stays away from the exchanges for now Wink

I don't think satoshi will be interested in sell his  BTC, why he didn't sell it in the previous $ 1,2k bubble? This is the real question.
However I also think he is not more interested in the bitcoin world.
6716  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 01, 2014, 09:29:38 AM
The bitfinex bot is simply accumulating to prepare for dumping once the markets goes bananas after the SR auction (expect +$450 then dump). It's a gamble though, he is assuming that all the coins will be sold (we won't ever know the price though), but most likely they will be and the market will react in a positive way.  Simple strategy. Most likely the markets will start going up before the auction is finished (anticipation).

Are you sure ? Or is it only a theory ?   However will bitcoin reach 500 $ before the end of the  year ? or must we wait the next year?
