7682  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Escrow Services? on: October 27, 2014, 02:21:00 PM
Just curious why so many people want to become an escrow service on these boards? I myself have been asked probably 50+ times to start offering such services. I never wanted too since I think it would just be a hassle, but is being an escrow that profitable? Or do people just want more trust? Thoughts?

I do from  escrow only for help the negotiations between  the forum users , for me it is not profitable because I'm only asking for a small donation ( sometimes  0.005 btc not more than this).

However we are in the wrong section .
7683  Economy / Services / Re: [ANN] Lethn Escrow 0% fee on: October 27, 2014, 02:17:05 PM
So you guys may have noticed that I'm making a push now to produce more stuff and earn money. One thing I've noticed is a lot of old time users around here offer up free escrow services and I've been wondering while I work on my stuff if I shouldn't do the same since I've been around since 2012. Do you think this is a good idea? Let me know, obviously as I'm just throwing this idea around I just want to try out a few small transactions and see how things go but I figure if I get my trust rating up people would be more inclined to trade with me with the other stuff I have for sale too.

If you're interested in giving me a small transaction to take care of PM me or post in the thread.

I only have one real incident to my name as you'll see from some negative trust I've given out and it turned out the guy was a massive scammer who conned me and others along time ago out of money from BTCJam.

I think the forum needs more  trusted  users escrow Wink , good luck for you initiative ! However I would like to suggest you to sign all your " escrow's deal" with your personal PGP key ( It gives a major level of security if your account will be compromised Wink ).

Cheers.

7688  Other / Meta / Re: MODS PLEASE BAN - gambling spammer/troll on: October 27, 2014, 05:52:07 AM
Maybe even if the troll was receiving a notification each time someone ignored him, people would have a greater motivation to to it. In addition, trolls motivation to keep being toxic would be reduced if people started ignoring them massively and they were directly notified about it.

I feel this would have the inverse effect on the user being ignored, if their intention was to troll. Being ignored, to them, is a measure of success. Imagine you were in their shoes, being notified every time you pissed someone off enough to make them ignore you would be somewhat satisfying.

And yes, I strongly recommend that the mods ban BBmmBB. I believe his posts constitute spam, since they are so numerous and contribute nothing to the discussions he involves himself in.

Agreed on both fronts. Trolls would get a kick out of being ignored. To them that would be like scoring a point. They want to know their actions are getting a reaction out of people. The best way is to just ignore them silently and don't respond to them at all, but someone always will, but BBmmBB should be banned for doing nothing but being a disruptive troll.

It  is obviously then his posts is not constructive for the forum (in general) but I think he never will be banned , or am I wrong ?

7691  Economy / Services / Re: FortuneJack.com NEW Campaign – Earn 0.12 BTC!!! Weekly Payments. on: October 26, 2014, 09:31:36 PM
Seems FortuneJack has been banned (most likely temporarily for sending PMs to many users)

You're  late Grin :

Based on the modlog it looks like FortuneJack is banned.

Dear Users, our FortuneJack account has been banned. we are working with forum admins to resolve this issue. We launched targeted PM giveaway (80 PM's were sent), rewarding active users with 0.01 BTC. Looks like some users reported it as a spam and our FortuneJack account got banned automatically. We can still read your PMs but unfortunately we can't respond for the time being. We hope to resolve this issue with forum administration very soon. Please note that it will not effect Signature Campaign or any other activity in any way
7692  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: i terroristi usano bitcoin on: October 26, 2014, 09:25:43 PM

Ancora a screditare i bitcoin ? Non tutti entrano nel deepweb . Come ti ha detto rodrigobitcoin  :

7694  Economy / Lending / Re: BTCjam Loan - Silver Pawn on: October 26, 2014, 08:27:30 PM
I don't have any against you (and also Vod-I think) but the rule is :

"No Collateral, No Loan" - IGNORE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I think that's fair.

I don't want to to provide collateral for this loan for a number of reasons. One is that the silver would be very heavy to send through the mail and then have sent back to me. Paying for the postage would defeat the purpose of trying to save money on the interest part.

Second, like many of you here I would have a hard time trusting someone would send my silver back.

I understand that since I won't be providing collateral you won't be investing and that's fine.

I would like to thank you though for not leaving me bad feedback and calling me a scammer like someone else here.

So this is the solution : do you have another valid collateral ? If the answer will : no, I don't have any other valid collateral

I think it will be so difficult to receive the loan. However , good luck !

7696  Economy / Lending / Re: BTCjam Loan - Silver Pawn on: October 26, 2014, 07:52:28 PM
Can you provide a valid collateral? Please.

The collateral would be the silver but it would not be worth it to send through the mail to someone because of the weight and amount of loan.

It is also a BTCjam loan so not sure how collateral would work with that.

Thanks

So, again, can you provide valid collateral?  If not, you are wasting your time and ours posting your loan here.  Your time may not be worth much, but mine is.

I will not be providing any collateral for this loan as the small amount of the loan and the size and weight of the package of silver sending back and forth would not be worth it.

Sorry to have wasted your time but others might be interested.

Thanks

No problem , if you want you can close the thread yourself with the lock topic function.

7697  Other / Meta / Re: MODS PLEASE BAN BBmmBB - gambling spammer/troll on: October 26, 2014, 07:47:13 PM
The troller users are not forbidden here , the only (absolutly) thing that is not allowed : it is the spam. So you can report him to be " a spammer" but at the end the staff can do nothing because  technically he is not a spammer : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=375258;sa=showPosts.

I would like to be wrong, but it is up to the staff to ban him.

EDIT: I've checked in the log and his id does not appear #375258

7699  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for friendly miners on: October 26, 2014, 07:20:29 PM
So a few minutes ago I created this transaction https://blockchain.info/tx/643f881eb19323a9e12784afba5bfc62dd02951512fbc58fc953eb19f69fe518 but as you can see I forgot to include a fee so I am asking for a friendly miner Can you confirm my transaction please? I will pay 0.02btc for a miner who will include this transaction in to their block, Thank you.

Are you kidding me ? You have made a transaction with 0 btc fee and you want an instant confirm  Cheesy , awesome ! The miner can't "choose" to include the transaction in the next block ... this is the process.

The next time pay a regular fee and don't worry.
