edit : as with all exchanges but especially now with this migration underway it might be wise to leave as few coins as possible on Bitfinex

i'm curious about him too, last i heard Evan was trying to contact him ?

if you need to transfer from old wallet / old darkcoin address to new wallet / new darkcoin address :

- sent all coins to exchange
- rename wallet.dat to old.wallet.dat
- make sure you downloaded and use latest darkcoin client v10.15.17
- start darkcoin wallet v10.15.17, encrypt new wallet, backup new wallet
- sent from exchange to new wallet / new darkcoin address (first small amount to test, then the rest)
- make new backup
 

try removing the peers.dat file (dont delete the wallet.dat !!!) and adding the following nodes in your darkcoin.conf :

wtf happened at bitfinex just now ? two sells of 261 drk & 362 drk can bring it down to 0.0044 ??
edit : must be the low volumes there that has such impact on the price ? Amazing that it can go that low.. and kinda frustrating to see that after the huge 3311 DRK

Maybe its better to use Cryptsy as exchange, thats the exchange where the largest Darkcoin volume is traded.

on a sidenote : for anyone using google docs spreadsheets try this in a spreadsheet :

shows the volumes of some specific exchanges per coin, so you can see which one has leading volume.

i'm using a windows 8.1 64bit wallet, no problem with syncing or with the wallet being slow or unresponsive.  
Just make sure you transferred your coins into a new wallet before using it and make sure you have enough nodes
in yr darkcoin.conf so your connected fast :

note : its very important that funds from older wallets (pre-RC5 wallets or pre-RC4 .. not totally sure) gets transferred to newly created wallets with latest version
or it will create a lot of problems. Simply installing the latest darkcoin-qt.exe over the older one will not do with those old wallets.

Also having a lot of input amounts (from for example a p2p pool) could have a negative effect on the wallet, try bundling them into one input amount
every so often through your coin control..
