6701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL? on: September 29, 2017, 03:17:31 PM
250 ETH woow, it is very big for me, if my suggestion hold up to the highest price, we can also use 50% for project ico ongoing, so we can reap other profit for the rest we can sell. we switch to bitcoin because now bitcoin is still very expensive.
50% which equal to 125 ETH, that's too much for an ICO, you better go with smaller amount if you sure that they can give you profit. ICO is very risky for that big money, the project have the chance of failed.
did you know that most of the project which start with kickstarter are ended fail?
6702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What would you do with 10 eth on: September 29, 2017, 03:07:24 PM
Hi Guy's,

Where would you invest 10 eth in when you can and why? Smiley

I will invest in Bitcoin and some other coin. Do not put eggs with 1 basket!

Grin I also own 10 ETH and was thinking what to do with it. And i know that it maybe isn't the best to keep all eggs in one basket, but i belive that in 2018 ETH will be the most profitable coin. So my decision was to keep this 10 ETH and looking for opportunieties to buy/earn other coins.
Ill do the opposite thing, I'm not sure about the future of eth seeing the price always stagnan and following bitcoin ever since. I always try to invest to many coins that's look profitable for me and yes I do bag holding
so far everything just go normal and I hope for future also, still get impressed of how ETH switch to pos tho.
6703  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's clear now China have higher amount bitcoin on: September 28, 2017, 01:53:24 PM
Tax evasion has always been a big issue in China. That is the reason why the government officials are running scared of Bitcoin. They are afraid that Bitcoins may be used to hide individual wealth, and to transfer wealth abroad. Same is the case in India as well.
Tax evasion is not a thing if they give punishment to the evaders, it's not just light punishment but the heaviest one, then the citizens will forcefully reporting their profit, or wealth from bitcoin so that government can tax them.
since blockchain is really transparent about every transactions going on, it doesn't make sense if they scared of it.
6704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH target 1000$ in ending of this year on: September 28, 2017, 01:22:00 PM
I dont think that Ethereum will reach 1000$ by end of 2017, but its a good target for 2018. I will be more than 1000$ in 2018, that for sure. Its one of the best longterm invests right now!
After the hardfork delayed I can say yes, the only factor that makes me think ethereum price could get pumped so hard in this year is the switching of PoW to PoS and it'll not happen yet until 2018!
I've been bagholding this eth for many months and got disappointed by this delay.
6705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to hold coins? on: September 28, 2017, 01:19:52 PM
Just making sure I understand here... because it is all way over-confusing to start:

AltCoins - I can only store these (long-term) in their own wallets, correct?

Electrum seems to be only a bitcoin wallet, so this would be after a trade if I wanted to not trade anymore and store the BTC?

I do use Exodus, so I have some others stored there, but it's not like there are a ton of altcoin options there either.

So that leaves...

Altcoins - Longterm - Store in their own wallet, then?
Altcoins - Short Term - store in exchange with limit order?
BTC - remove the amount from the exchanges that I'm not actively trading with?

Safety - use paper wallet or Ledger/Trezor.

Trying to cover all my bases here.  I think I'm understanding some of this.
One more, you need to know that token which use ethereum smart contract also exist, will simply require you MyEtherWallet compatible for hardware wallet just like trezor and you can store all those token in just one wallet securely.
Frankly, these tokens are now dominating the market.
For holding a coin, it'll worth than keeping those altcoins which have their own wallet with low safety.
6706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Japan Considers Launching J-Coin, Eliminating Cash Before Tokyo 2020 Games" on: September 28, 2017, 01:14:09 PM
Can't say that japan statement about blockchain system not mature enough is wrong, see right now, bitcoin can't handle the transaction resulting high fee. not a really convenient way for digital currency.
but I think that by the time we'll have the solution to this problem, hopefully.
6707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leave Bitcoin in Exchange? on: September 27, 2017, 10:41:57 PM
Some people says that the wrost thing to do is leave your bitcoins in some exchange.
I have 200 usd of btcs in Payeer, it is a online wallet but it also has a exchange.

Do you recommend to me to move this bitcoin to a wallet like Electrum?

Leaving bitcoin in an exchange is not very recommended and it is better to leave bitcoin in desktop wallet and electrum is the best among others and highly recommended.
What a contradictory statement you got there.

By the way, leaving money in exchange is fine if the amount is small, otherwise if you have some amount of BTC which you consider as big enough for you, it's better to save it on your wallet.
an exchange rarely turn to be scam if their company is legal, but still, prevention better than a cure.
6708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin crash on the 30th becasue of closing of chinese exchanges? on: September 27, 2017, 02:56:47 PM
By looking from the bitcoin exchange volume from this site: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets please tell me which Chinese market have enough volume to change the price after the exchange closure?
there's none because I see none of Chinese exchange even included to top 5 right now so stop spreading BS
6709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO regulation good or bad? on: September 27, 2017, 02:46:23 PM
It is actually meant to be good thing. I mean just normal regulation, not ban. But it is definitely going to kill some people's desire to create more icos for sure.
I'm absolutely agree with you, but why it kill desire?
well I think that it will kill many upcoming ICOs which created out of thin air, with merely a whitepaper to raise funds. the regulation exist to prevent this, people think that it's a bad thing for the cryptoverse but it's not.
the government just trying to stop the money grabbing.
6710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Stupid bittrex on: September 27, 2017, 02:43:14 PM
You need to be calm, it's better to wait for maintenance than gets your account frozen (not talking about poloniex lol). If bittrex never do maintenance, I'll doubtful with their security.
in the meantime, you can just wait for it, it'll not last forever.
6711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Price Is Behaving Sticky on: September 26, 2017, 10:51:36 PM
See now, china has lost control over bitcoin price, or it's just the Chinese bitcoin users moving out of their country and migrating their money to other countries.
it seems that the regulation of china government has no more affection to the crypto world. so if the popular exchanges there will be closing down, it's not a thing.
6712  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull trap? Or price going back to 4k for real? on: September 26, 2017, 02:04:22 PM
There is too much analysis in this thread arguing for both sides. Keep it simple, and buy Bitcoin on the dip. Ever since the scandal of MtGox, Bitcoin has been going up, then dip a little and it would go up again breaking out from a range everytime. All the FUD flung in its way have no effect.

Is there any reason why this should change?
I can assure that all these fud which back then successfully making the price gets dumped hard are just temporary, at the end bitcoin always regaining its price and break new ATH, if I'm wrong, please can someone else point me out which moment bitcoin didn't break new ATH after getting dumped hard.
I'm sure that all these fud are actually whales trying to gather bitcoin cheaply as much as they can, can't say more.
6713  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is about to crush major resistance points (very bullish) on: September 26, 2017, 01:56:13 PM
That does make sense seeing that the recent trend, talking about JPMorgan which in my opinion affect the price of bitcoin in every their statement, I guess that after they're spreading their bullshit about bitcoin and gets bitcoin price dumped they're now having pockets full of bitcoin and ready for another pump, I hope people can learn from it.
6714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin growth again, what to do? on: September 26, 2017, 01:52:08 PM
It's not "growing" but regaining its price, bitcoin before the rumour regarding banned in china, have reached $4500 and it's really good at that moment.
but now, the rumour has fade after the hard dump caused by this, the price slowly recovering until it hits new ATH!
6715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the most overvalued crypto? on: September 25, 2017, 11:18:34 PM
Ripple is the most overvalued

Most under valued are: UBIQ, Diamond and LTC
I like what, how the ripple was overvalued considering from its current price, the centralized coin should not worth a lot like ripple.

Ubiq seems to be the undervalued but that was the only one from your statement, I just consider that the litecoin was overvalued comparing with there is no innovation has made by litecoin rather than copied the bitcoin development.
6716  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: September 25, 2017, 01:33:27 PM
Any currency can lead to corruption, since everything depends on a person's greed, and not on what currency is used in the country. As long as people are greedy, corruption will exist.
but bitcoin blockchain system is transparent to public, if government want to secure their money from corruption, they will announce the address of where the bitcoin for a project is stored and people or citizen could watch it. if there's strange movement, the citizen could report to the government.
bitcoin could prevent corruption than leading to corruption, even bitcoin mixing could still be traced by using complicated algorithm.
6717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many exchanges will fail before this end of year on: September 25, 2017, 01:19:27 PM
It would be sad if Poloniex becomes insolvent. It would make Bittrex one of the few good exchanges for altcoins.
Remind me a lot when still using poloniex, they have really slow support that I need to wait many days just to solve a problem, a problematic exchange like that didn't deserve to be #1 exchange, while bittrex is really supportive to their client.
and see now, poloniex always have problem with their client even freezing their client account without notice, poloniex will fail for good.
6718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does China hate Bitcoin? on: September 25, 2017, 01:14:58 PM
I think chinese people like bitcoin a lot, but their government fear about capital flight.

They want to keep the control of the capital flow.
That sounds right, many Chinese people buying bitcoin back then, and now many of them struggling because of the strict regulation which happen to be released by the local government.
some people said that many of them who owns big amunt of bitcoin migrating to other country, I think it's a wise move to avoid the regulation and punishment.

6720  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin single handedly dropped 20% in the last 24 hours! on: September 15, 2017, 11:10:24 PM
What might happen after this? If the rumor about China closing down exchanges is really just a rumor, then the price would recover as more and more of the cheap coins get snagged up. If it indeed happen, then they would be a chaotic 2 weeks or so as the industry adapts.
China didn't close down those exchanges or force them to close, China just release a new regulation following the ICO and tighten the rules. Many exchanges aren't be able to stay because of this rules and the only way is to close down their service.
I'm pretty much sure that this chaotic time of cryptocurrency will soon gone and we'll come back to normal crypto life again.
