If I were you I might want to sell half of ETH holdings and convert them into bitcoin. the rest of half I will keep. But I will not sell any of them for fiat, you will miss a lot of great opportunities.

It still kinda blows my mind that people think selling etherium or bitcoin makes sense this early in on their projects. Unless there is another project you have more faith in crypto-wise I would never recommend selling unless you have urgent need of a quick influx of cash. These are the future, and with so much room for growth major competition shouldn't be a thing yet. I mean there are really only 200ish viable coins right now, and many have very specific use cases. BTC, ETH, LTC, XMR, and maybe XRP all are solid for sure bets. No crazy overnight growth like some smaller altcoins, but their value will always go up when viewed from a longer than month to month view.

Everything will be going up over the next few years, even shit coins. But yes, Ethereum is the best, its equal to Bitcoin, and will always be the 2nd best coin.

Bitcoin = Gold
Ethereum = Oil

Oil has a use, even if there is a better coin than ETH that works better than ETH smart contracts it still will be very hard to beat ETH. ETH was first.

You would have to be an idiot to sell anything at this moment in time. Crypto is exploding!

Hoddle long BTC (the mother) and a few others!

if I have 250 ETH, I will buy new coins listed in the exchangers. because it is more profitable than participating in ICO

You can keep half and sell half to buy some potential altcoin like Ark, Xrp, Pay, TKn, ....
Eth is stable and will not help you increase your account much, keeping fit long term!

ETH is only "stable" as long as the current ICO frenzy lasts.
As soon as people realize that they invested in scam projects or the dumb money
stops flowing in the ICO bubble will burst.

When this happens Ethereum´s only real use case will be gone, which will
crash the price.

Recommending ETH as a stable coin is therefore a ridiculous proposition -
especially if you look at a yearly chart and see that it has already multiplied it´s value
this year and is probably overvalued.

Hate to admit it but he should have sold it during that time. That was a whooping $383 at August 31 from coinmarketcap website.
Not all needs to be hold and some of our coins should be thought carefully if the time is right to sell or not.
Well it is a good thing he asked here. Maybe he did sell it or not. What do we know.  Grin

i see this different. It is a fact that 90% of the Applications build on top of it for now are crap.
BUT if there are just a handfull good ones then the Project suceeds !
compare it to the .com-bubble, where 99% of the firms died, but giants like Amazon and Google emerged.
The real use case for Ethereum is not ICO-crowdfunding, it is building a plattform for DAPPS to operate.

At this moment. Hold is the best option for Ethereum because the price is now very low and they are inclined to sell more but this will happen in a short time and will recover in the next few months.

This is a difficult discussion if it was me I would hold at least 80 percent and reinvest the rest I assume you are well in profit from this anyway sounds you can risk it however this all depends on your endgame for your initial endeavour.

You can invest your eth to ICO. Here is a list of hot ones: wanchain, ICON, Aion, Polkadot, rchain, cosmos, Doc.ai, AE, Raiden. But be careful and do not lose your head!
Raiden related to the ethereum? But other name sounds like a garbage for me, although the only raiden ico that makes me interested to see where it goes. But just waiting for about the more related news about raiden.

The real use case for Ethereum is not ICO-crowdfunding, it is building a plattform for DAPPS to operate.

The original idea was that smart contract apps would be designed on top of the Ethereum blockchain, but the biggest use of Ethereum is ironically issuing ICO tokens, and not much else. What other interesting smart contract apps have you seen that have been a success? Because I don't know a single one. The only thing I know is that tokens are getting issued everyday on the ETH blockchain and this is increasingly bloating it to absurd levels, to the detriment of holders trying to make transactions.

Unless you already have some, I'd probably sell up and make a bitcoin bag. Never hurts to diversify.

250 ETH woow, it is very big for me, if my suggestion hold up to the highest price, we can also use 50% for project ico ongoing, so we can reap other profit for the rest we can sell. we switch to bitcoin because now bitcoin is still very expensive.

50% which equal to 125 ETH, that's too much for an ICO, you better go with smaller amount if you sure that they can give you profit. ICO is very risky for that big money, the project have the chance of failed.
did you know that most of the project which start with kickstarter are ended fail?

I think you should hold it ,  then wait for the price of ethereum to rise up and after that you can sell your ethereum as much as you want. You just have to get a good timing and smart decision before you act. But its up to you if you want to hold it or sell.

I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL?

How do you think about the price of ETH end of this year.

I lost just small amount (5 ETH) because i bought the highest price.

I don`t know I hold or SELL.

Give me your opinion.

waw a very fantastic amount, I think having 250 eth is a very unusual thing. I strongly advise you to hold your Eth, because the end of this eth has reached 0.08-0.09 BTC, and I'm sure it will happen again.
