I guess everyone is excited for Klay's return. Well, who else doesn't when the Warriors are playing in a high level performance. His addition might boost their performance even more better.
Everyone is also excited on the Playoffs to figure who's really the best team and who's going to make it to the finals this year as there were a lot of promising team and it's becoming more and more unpredictable.
Gone are those days where Miami, Cleveland or GSW has been dominating and obviously make the finals appearance.
I am guessing that there is about 10 days or so until Klay turns and he is not going to just suddenly thrown in there and have 30+ minutes, it is probably going to be 10 minutes per game for a while and gradually grow bigger and bigger, not even entirely sure if he will be 100% this year at all, even during playoffs.

But, obviously him coming back and having a little bit of help on defence or having some sort of shooting chance because everyone tries to double Curry now since GSW can't spread the floor as well as they can when they have Klay. This is why there is a stage where they will end up with getting a little worse first trying to get him back, then they will be better than even today.

It would be great if he was back for Christmas time but I have my doubts.  Has he even started playing in the D League yet?  I was under the impression they were going to make both him and Wiseman play a few games in the D League before returning to the NBA.  Maybe that is not correct, as recently Ibaka complained about having to go to the D League, saying it was insulting for a player of his caliber and would never be required for someone like Durant...  Anyway, I feel like we're seeing the old Warriors these days and when Klay and Wiseman get back in the lineup things could get scary.  I definitely underestimated their chances this year.
6762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: December 13, 2021, 08:46:22 PM
In terms of usefulness you can't really compare the two.  Ethereum is lightyears ahead in that category.  The hope is that the Lightning network paired with the Liquid Network will provide developers with the opportunity to play catch up and build similar things without the drawbacks.  It will probably take many years but I think the longterm hope is for the ideas established and use cases created using chains like Ethereum are eventually ported into Bitcoin development without the plague of high fees.  The metaverse is the obvious future, and it is clear now that it won't be built on Bitcoin's base layer.  The question is how Bitcoin can be involved.
6763  Other / Meta / Re: Importance Of Merit Sources || Why do we need merit Source? on: December 13, 2021, 08:33:23 PM
If we do not have any merit sources, There could be a Merit Crisis  Tongue

THE HORROR!  NOT A MERIT CRISIS!

I propose we increase the total number of Bitcoin from 21 million to 30 million and use the 9 million new BTC to make sure Bitcoiners are prepared to face this Merit Crisis.  I suggest implementing a new merit distribution program without merit sources, where everyone gets the same amount of merit every week regardless of their contribution.  In fact, we should even make it so people can't send merits to each other, and only get their allotted merits directly from bitcointalk.  That way we can ensure everyone gets their merits and there is no crisis.  God forbid a life without a steady stream of merit for everyone.  We must defend against this at all costs.

6764  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Yeild interest on loan? Interest check on: December 13, 2021, 07:04:06 AM
It is a chit industry revolutionised with blockchain for added benefits. Most of the part is confidential so far but the basic concept is publical.

But you do know there are already some crypto lending which utilize blockchain, smart contract and other technology? So my question is, what are the advantage of your idea compared with today's crypto lending?
Savings and Borrowings would be carried among a group of individuals. Users would not actually lend funds but would save them in partly intervals and the borrowers would not actually borrow funds from anyone else but from their future stakes. Even with added benefits, borrowers would not actually need to pay any interest but would earn dividends on contrary.

Individuals who would be saving and not borrowing anything would receive benefits in more than one way. Dividends would act as a bonus to every user joining the rounds.

If the borrowers aren't actually borrowing and the lenders aren't actually lending, then it doesn't sound like what you're describing is a loan at all.  It sounds more like you're talking about staking funds for a set period of time to receive a reward?  It's weird that you talk in terms of borrowing and lending when no funds are being borrowed or lended.  Where would the dividends come from?  Typically a scenario like this would involved a market maker using staked liquidity to generate returns from trades for the owners of the staked coins.  I think you'd need to describe what you're talking about better.  If the borrows and lenders aren't borrowers or lenders, I'd start with finding a more accurate description.
6765  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When will the vaccination end? on: December 13, 2021, 06:56:04 AM
How can the vaccination end when new strains of the virus keep coming up. This is becoming worrisome honestly.

It will never end.  No government programs are temporary.  I think the saying goes, "there is nothing more permanent than a temporary government program."  Even if we stamped out Covid completely, they would find another reason why the program would have to continue.  There's lots of processes being put in place and employees being hired to run these programs.  All of that doesn't just go away one day.  All we're seeing here is the reaction to Americans not getting on board with socialized medicine.  We never had a choice and those of us who have held out due to our principles will only continue to be attacked more and more.  Job losses, banning from public places, fines, etc...  Expect things to get worse before they get better.  Biden still has a few years left.  The amount of damage he can still cause should terrify anyone who has walked the aisles of their supermarket lately.

I think he caught a bad rap just because Kahwi came in and took them to the promise land.
This was really one of the talk of the town when they won the league without him.

That's good to know.  You don't hear people talk about that much and it has to be hard on Derozan that he put in so many years and then many people thought it was his departure for Kawhi that led to the championship when in reality it was more about other teams having a laundry list of injuries.  If they wouldn't have used any sort of common sense in playing KD then the Warriors would have won easily.  Who puts a guy in a game with a sore muscle that has been icing it?  Nobody talks about that, but KD's injury to me was so obviously due to icing his leg on the sidelines and then immediately putting him in the game.

Speaking of KD, nobody talking about the 51 piece he put up tonight?
6767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I bought $271 worth of Bitcoin in late 2009 on: December 13, 2021, 06:13:37 AM
If this were true then why would you wait until now to try and get help getting your Bitcoin?  That amount of BTC would have made you wealthy back in 2011 and by 2013 it would have been an unimaginable amount of money for an individual.  By 2017 you would have likely gone mad with the 'what ifs' playing through your head.

I'm fairly certain there was no way to purchase with a credit card back then either.  It's possible you were scammed or dealt OTC with an individual.  In any scenario you would need your private key as any online wallet from 2009 would have gone bye bye a long long time ago.  A nice story, but I'd say likely fake.
6768  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Auction ENDED] Cas 1 brass S2 2013 loaded - on Scarce City on: December 13, 2021, 12:09:04 AM
Not a terrible ending price.  Congrats on your sale.  I was thinking about starting an auction for one of these at 1.15 BTC, and it looks like that's pretty in line with expectations.  I look forward to seeing what the rest of your collection goes for on there and how you felt about the experience of selling through scarcecity.  I'm also curious about withdrawing funds from the site and if you're required to use the Lightning Network in order to use the site or if they allow withdrawals of BTC on chain.

There has been talk that the windshield wiper may utilize a different patent of Tesla's known as the Regen Wiper Blade.  One where the force of the wind pushes the wiper up and that energy is captured and used to help power the system.  Basically turns the windshield wiper into a wind turbine.  This seems a little far fetched to me, but no more than using lasers instead of a wiper.  Elon continues to claim the Cybertruck will be a technological powerhouse, so we will see...

Talk about the wiper blade system starts at 7:27.

...Last time Derozan took a team to conference finals or closer, they got eliminated and got swept, dude is not a great playoff player.
Are you talking about his days as a Raptor? I don't like some of his shot selections during crunch time but let's be fair to him. It's never that easy when you have D. Wade or Lebron James who are HOF waiting for him.

You definitely can't blame Derozan for those losses to LeBron in the playoffs.  I think he caught a bad rap just because Kahwi came in and took them to the promise land.  I think given the lack of competition due to injuries, it's somewhat likely that the Raptors would have won without the trade.  Not to say that Kahwi isn't a better player...  The Derozan we're seeing this year seems different anyway.  He seems like he's in a good place with the right fit.  Once the Bulls get beyond this latest covid setback I'm sure they'll be back to being a force to be reckoned with well into the playoffs.
6771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 12, 2021, 04:00:52 AM
The Warriors lead the 76ers by only 3 points after the end of the first half of the match, and it looks like Curry made only 2 three-pointers. So I think he will need at least 1 more game to beat Ray Allen's record, considering that he hasn't been scoring 10 or more three-pointers in a single game this season.

That defense they played on Curry was crazy. He was being doubled all night long anytime he came near the ball. The few open shots he did get he missed. You could see it in his body language that he was pretty pissed. Nobody but Draymond seemed to know how to play against that defense. Seeing that this defense worked might make the rest of Steph’s season a lot more difficult.

I was gifted one of those and was never able to figure out how to view it in my metamask

Go to opensea of your address and from there in the activity part you click and where Ethereum appears you give the x and there it is, if you can not, I will gladly help you with the instructions, remember that they are in the polygon chain.

Alternatively, you could also click on your profile on opensea.io once you’ve connected your wallet and then look in the “hidden” tab. Once you spot the NFT you’re looking for you can click the 3 dots on it and select unhide. Polygon NFTs tend to be hidden by default as a result of sending spam NFTs to random wallets. You might even find you have lots of spam NFTs in there with offers for a few bucks that you can collect.

You should know that everyone in the Chipmixer signature is a reputable member of the forum which post quality and helpful posts.

I would disagree.  I think many of them are trolls who post here constantly trying to make a living off this forum regardless if they provide any value or not.  The only way for them to do that because they have no actual skills is to start fights and spread lies so they can endlessly troll and bicker their way to a paycheck.  That seems to play to their target audience of scammers needing to launder stolen funds which maybe is why it works so well and they're paid so handsomely for it.

This is the kind of trolling nonsense I come to expect from members of this campaign.  You can see this idiot didn't even read the post and just made some trolling remark about a picture of a prototype.  These trolls aren't bettering bitcointalk or even following the no trolling rules but get away with it because of advertising dollars.  Many of them make this forum worse for anyone who tries to do anything productive and this campaign pays them for it.  Absolute garbage.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5326636.msg58688502#msg58688502

The fact trolls get paid money by ChipMixer to make posts like this shitting on other people's creations, in this case the richest man in the world trying to make human beings a multi-planetary species, is disgusting and insulting to this community.  This campaign needs to do better.  Maybe have some standards for ChipMixer signature participants.

Golden State Warriors vs Philadelphia 76ers on ABC today.  Nice to have a good old fashioned televised game broadcasting over the airwaves.  Smiley

With the Ben Simmons rumors heating up now that deadlines are approaching (the 15th) I'm sure that will be a major talking point throughout the game.  I'm also fairly certain Golden State is going to come out with the W.  This game might be worth watching for the commentary alone.  I'm sure we'll be hearing lots of rumors and potential trades as this is quickly becoming one of the major talking points for this season.  That and Kyrie giving up $16,000,000 so far to avoid the jab.
6775  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: December 11, 2021, 10:41:44 PM
There's been a lot of talk about the giant windshield wiper on the latest cybertruck prototype.  People were hoping for lasers to remove water from the windshield after a Tesla patent on the process was made public.  There is still hope though, as Elon made a couple of tweets addressing the subject for those who found the windshield wiper pictured in the last post to be abhorrent.

"There will be a few tweaks before production"

"Lasers can do anything"

"That is not the production wiper"

I still don't think Tesla is going to reinvent the windshield wiper with lasers, but you gotta give it to Elon to fuel the fire when he sees an opportunity.  I love that about him.

<<<<  I'm sure he's a brilliant coach, but for whatever reason his style of play does not seem to mesh well with the Lakers roster and I think it's time to either say goodbye to the head coach, or trade Anthony Davis.

I would choose to see a new coach than letting go of Anthony Davis, he proved himself by winning a championship with the Lakers, so he should stay. Besides, it's easier to find a new coach than to look for a good big man, so hopefully, the Lakers will consider this kind of move if they will indeed struggle all throughout the season.
I think AD shouldn't be sacrificed in this Lakers's show we're seeing I mean he definitely has the best help from the team in this season. I think it isn't changing something but should be learning something from their recent games, rotations and role players, something like that.

Yeah, I agree, I don't think that AD is the problem here, the factor is that there are too many superstars in their lineup that it's hard to give them time in the floor. And then you have the young guys like THT that needed exposure as well because they might contribute big.

I think that's the big issue, they took too many veterans and experience players. And they still have Ariza and Bazemore and Nunn and even Rondo not playing.

Anthony Davis out tonight and they finally let Dwight get the start and a few minutes… They win by 21. Biggest win of the year? Maybe. Normally you would think with their star player out and the team struggling they wouldn’t be getting their biggest win (or close to) of the season. I think AD is overrated, not playing up to expectations, and a constant injury concern. The Lakers really need to be considering what they can get for him. Resigning him to a post-LeBron contract or losing him to free agency will doom the team for years.

Should still have the majority of orders placed on the Aug 31st out by end of the year, and the rest the first few weeks of January.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a Christmas surprise in my mailbox.  Smiley

The weather is finally cooling down even in the desert so I could use some heat.  Would love to hear that the first ones have gotten out the door or any updates you may have.  Some pictures or the assembly or shipping activity would be great to help ease the anxiety as we await out hashing beauties.  Good luck with what is probably the most hectic part of the process.  I don't envy someone trying to do a lot of shipping this time of year, but I do appreciate it.

Do you guys have any other options?

Owning businesses with pricing power is probably the only good option.  Treasuries are a promised loss due to inflation.  Gold hasn't moved in a decade.  The overall stock market will likely benefit from inflation, but if the consumer is squeezed we could see another 2007 style crash and even though home and stock prices should be rising, if everyone is spending all their money on food that just won't happen.  I suspect this will be the end result at some point.  Until then, 'dance while the music is playing' as they say.  Just make sure not to be the last one out the exits...  I'd love to push real estate right now, but prices being 50% higher than the peak of the housing boom and people leaving their jobs during a period of high inflation has me thinking that the rental market isn't where I'd want my money parked.

It's great to hear a success story and know that this forum provided you with a voice to be heard and rectified.  You usually hear stories of people being scammed here, so knowing that some good came from your posting your experience here is a great thing.  Thank you for sharing the end result and I'm glad that you were able to get your money that you fairly earned and rightly deserve.  What a great story of using a claim to earn some decent money.  You sir just lived the best case scenario.  Make sure you don't toss it all back in another casino.  Smiley

Cybertruck caught in 4K...

https://electrek.co/2021/12/10/tesla-cybertruck-updated-design-spotted-test-track/

Not sure how I feel about the current windshield wiper solution, but you can see from the progress they've made that this thing may even meet the street legal requirements.  It appears they may have changed the headlights as well from other pictures I saw.  This could very well be the first glimpse of the production model we've seen to date and hopefully that means the assembly line will get moving soon.
