6761  Economy / Reputation / Re: What happen if anyone endorse Cloudbet? on: February 10, 2019, 10:54:10 PM
As far as I know Cloudbet are no longer sponsors of krogothmanhattan raffles. Cloudbet stopped to support it some time ago before these accusations were made. Most of these promotions that you posted away is over and it would be unfair to red tag people who participated in it, because it was long before these scam accusations were made. There are only one active promtion on Bitcointalk -🏆Cloudbet's Cloud 9 Predictor Competition! Free Entry + 0.47 BTC Prize pool! 🏆 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5098762.0
While Premier League prediction pool isn't organized by Cloudbet, they are just sponsors. Maybe it would be best to remove their name from title.
That was originally "Bitcointalk's English Premier League Football Pool" which was renamed to "Cloudbet's English Premier League Football Pool" later. I don't remember any more how much funds Cloudbet added because I left it long time ago.
I remember correctly they added $500 or £500 to the prize pool.

6763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: February 10, 2019, 10:04:48 PM
You simply can't win without making shots on target. Barca tonight didn't had almost any real moments to score. And thanks to ter Stegen who made some amazing points we got one point tonight. Suarez and Coutinho was terrible tonight. Few recent matches are really worrying for Barca, considering two upcoming El Clasico in league and Copa and Champions league play-offs. Things in La Liga are getting more and more interesting.
Too bad Sevilla can't get full points when competing in front of their supporters even though they really need those points to continue to crawl to the top of the La Liga standings. With this result, I did not get the slightest profit from the bet I placed for this match.
It's bad result for Sevilla, but not the worst thing what could happen. They were loosing 2:0 at 84 minute and Banega was sent-off, but somehow they managed to score 2 goals in last minutes and even had chance for third goal.
6764  Other / Serious discussion / Re: This is why we have to keep cash on: February 10, 2019, 06:44:38 PM
Well, I don't like to discuss  in topics with question ''What if...'' because usually uthopical scenarios are discussed there. But in general, I agree that we should keep cash. Banks are trying to eliminate it, but I don't think it's going to happen soon. Every type of money - cash, digital money on cards and bank accounts, cryptocurrencies have their own pros and cos.
About digital money - we don't even need war or something similar to find disadvantages of it - just remember banking crisis in 2008. Or just - what if if your bank will bankrrupt. Ok, your money are insured, but still, it causes problems and headache.
Cash is also not perfect, but it's not going to extinct in most parts of the world soon. Only in Scandinavian countries it's more or less replaced by digital money. I live in Europe, but in my country it's still difficult to live without paper cash. There are still so many business still not accepting card payments, especially in smaller cities - it's small shops, restaurants, taxi, public transport and etc. And I imagine situation is even worse in less developped countries. And many people are sceptical about switching to digital money - they just want to have physical cash in their wallet and be their own bank.
6765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: February 10, 2019, 06:24:59 PM
The odds for barcelona is high being 1.83x against Athletic Bilbao.
I am wondering why would this be? Are they sitting out someone from their starting lineup in this match like Messi or Suarez?
From the Real Madrid match yesterday it looked as if they started all their key players in the starting line up yet they were at 2.90x odds.
Indded it's a bit strange. Barca won't have midweek game next week, so I don't think they are going to rest some important players. There are few factors why odds can be high for Barca win. In first round match betweeen these teams ended 1:1, also, Athletic is difficult opponent for Barca historically at San Mames. And last thing - since Athletic changed manager, their results were improved a lot, in last 10 matches they only lost twice.
6766  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: New hardware wallets on: February 10, 2019, 06:02:01 PM
And higher prices Tongue
It's true, but these new wallets mentioned in this thread also aren't cheaper. But I think it's normal thing that prices are going up with new models released. It means that there are big demand for hardware wallets and people are buying it with higher prices. Otherwise  they would be forced to reduce prices. It's a bit similar to smartphone market - each Samsung or iPhone flagship costs more than previous model and people still buying it. For example iPhone 8 was priced at $700, while iPhone X already costs $1000 approximately and people are still buying it.

Given the "paranoia" levels among crypto enthusiasts... it will indeed be difficult for newcomers in the hardware wallet space. You'd need to open source everything and be very open about all aspects of your device to try and build the trust.
Exactly, It's difficult for new players to become visible, but maybe they aren't doing their best to promote their product. Ibarely can see their ads on forums, crypto related websites, social media. So, it's normal that people are afraid to buy unknown wallets due to lack of information and reviews. And actually, it's good that people are careful when choosing hardware wallet.
6767  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: New $2000 bitcoin lottery launched on: February 10, 2019, 11:37:59 AM
It doesn't replace their old lottery. It's two different things. This new wagering game was already started few months ago and it's mainly made for big gamblers who wager a lot of BTC. Small players don't have chance to win there, but they can participate in old lotterybwhen they can win something with only few hundreds tickets.
6768  Economy / Services / Re: Earn BTC even if you have RED TRUST on: February 10, 2019, 12:11:44 AM
I smell something fishy here. Why you're targeting red trusted users? Probably because users without red tag wouldn't risk their reputation by participating in thing that you're offering. I predict that you're looking for a paid shills for some projects or something similar.
6769  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: 🎄 FaucetSystem.com / CryptoBara.com 🎄 on: February 09, 2019, 11:57:37 PM
Reading through this thread, it appears to me a few things..

The admin is not good at customer service at all, almost seemed afraid of public speaking, not sure why they didn't find at least one trustworthy person who could help them out a wee tiny bit with such an important part of a business...

I pictured them trying to swim against the current, without a paddle, the way they handled website advancement/tech and customer queries.

If this was someone who bought FS from a previous owner, this new owner definitely bit off more than they could chew..

I am not sure how everyone didn't already jump ship to FaucetHub (although I can only speak as a user of FH, but from what I see FaucetHun is pretty good to FO) though it's apparent that many people did.  I only knew about 'cryptobara' due to the recent a-ds tweet and got curious.

Perhaps embarrassment and obvious loss of the market caused them to just ignore everything and curl up in the corner... And how easy it is to pull an exit scam with crypto, their reputation isn't even ruined personally, they can just make a new account no one would ever know they were really "FaucetSystem".. they were so afraid of public speaking anyways so I doubt online rep matters to them.

*Strictly my opinion which is not based on fact and is strictly accusatory.. But I'm just being brutally honest based on what I've seen based on reviews and this thread...
I agree with your opinion. Their communication was bad always. Or I should say thatvthere was no communication at all.
No doubt that Faucethub is better service. Faucetsystem only got some after Faucetbox was closed and Faucethub wasn't opened yet. But it looks that old and new owner just didn't cared much about their business and both faucet owners and users didn't saw reasons to use this service. In last months there was only few active faucets left on FS and now it's seems that Faucetsystem decided to make silent exit scam.
6770  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: New hardware wallets on: February 09, 2019, 11:37:04 PM
Actuually, there are quite many small players in hardware wallets market - Keepkey, Bitbox, OpenDime, Coolwallet, Secalot, Ellipal, Archos Safe-T, Bitlox and maybe few more but that's all that I found on Google in few minutes. But all of them are struggling to get at least minimal part of market. Some of these wallets looks good to use, others no. Probably many people haven't even heard these names. And I'm sceptical about these new wallets. Maybe it will have good features and etc, but I don't believe that they will get noticeable share of market. When there is Ledger and Trezor it's almost impossible for new players to enter into market. People just don't see reasons to look for alternatives when Trezor and Ledger works well and already earned trust. While some people are afraid to buy less known wallets because of security concerns.
There is also not enough information about new or less known wallets. When you're looking for hardware wallets, Ledger and Trezor is the first results that you get and people aren't trying to dig deeper. It's not that easy to find reviews about alternative wallets.
Another aspect - main players aren't sitting in one place. They are releasing new products like Trezor T or Nano X with new features and improvements.
6771  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Special Guide to keep your Account safe forever (must read) on: February 08, 2019, 11:51:29 PM
OP, good suggestions, but still, it doesn't guarantee that your account eill be stay safe forever. There was cases when users who used most of avsilable protection methods and still lost their accounts.
Few my suggestions - don't visit phishing websites, it's one of main reasons of account hacks. It would be best to bookmark Bitcointalk in your browser. Always use strong and unique passwords. It's also very important to protect your email with 2FA. Without access to email hacker won't be able to use your account. If you will lose access to yourvemail it will be impossible to recover account.
I don't know if the forum can take some security measures. For example, changing an email address takes five days to change. At the same time, the change information will be sent to the mailbox. This should increase the possibility of anti-theft to some extent.
Email verification for password changes has been proposed in past and it would help to reduce number of hacked accounts, but it looks that this feature won't be implemented soon.
You effort is very much appreciated by me this can sure help protect once account especially that of the newbies.
But I would really love to see some day when 2fa can work on bitcoin talk forum account
In current forum version 2FA won't be added. There will be some kind of 2FA on new forum software, but the main question - when it will be released? Maybe after 1, 2, 5 years, we are already waiting for it for very long time.
6772  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Aural version of post to help non-English speaker. on: February 08, 2019, 11:37:39 PM
<>
It's true about accents and dialects. Even in UK they are very different. For example, for me it's difficult to understand when people from Scotland are talking - they dialect is really strange and very specific. Welsh people also have typical accent. In US, there are Afro-American English which is like totally different language.
My accent is typical Eastern European, and I have no idea how to get rid of it. Probably main problem that I just don't speak in English often and this is why it's difficult for me to improve my pronunciation.
6773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 08, 2019, 11:18:17 PM
RIP Sala...  Cry
It's nice gesture from club that they retire number 9. But at the same time Nantes demand for transfer fee from Cardiff in such sad sad situation. Football is business, but it's not right time to talk about money...
6774  Economy / Reputation / Re: Newbies with signatures in the same bounties on: February 07, 2019, 10:23:11 PM
I think changes are not applied to the accounts which were created prior to the change. For instance people have also raised questions regarding newbie wearing avatars earlier and here someone answered:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1819991.msg18129037#msg18129037. I think it's same for the signatures in this case.
When Merit system was released ALL users who were demoted to Newbies lost their signatures. As I know there was no exceptions. But probably it's same mystery as few Newbie Copper members registered in 2018 who have avatars. Strange that theymos still didn't posted anytging about it.
6775  Economy / Reputation / Re: Buy account it’s violate, right? on: February 07, 2019, 10:16:39 PM
So, you want to say that changed email address is enough to say that account was sold? Did password was changed also. If there would be solid proofs that account was sold, no doubt that account will be tagged by DT members. Now I don't see any indications about it, like language, posting style, grammar, content changed and etc. I don't see any of these things. OP, you're just salty that your main account got tagged and you desperately trying to remove it. But you'r balls aren't even big enough to post from your main account.
6776  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Display risked bitcoin amount on profile. on: February 07, 2019, 09:41:14 PM
Maybe it's not very bad suggestion, but I just don't see how it would be beneficial. Not everyone wants to show how much BTC they sold, bought or escrowed. Many people don't write amount risked and leaving feedback without these numbers. So, these numbers next to trust score wouldn't be accurate. And such stats wouldn't help. Before dealing with someone for the first time you always have to open trust page to get image about user by checking feedbacks. You don't start deal just after seeing green trust in profile. If there amount risked would be shown, you still would need to open trust page to check all feedbacks.
6777  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bad Experience with Registration on: February 07, 2019, 09:26:04 PM
If you're using TOR, I don't know how to make your life easier. But since you already registered, you can use link above to bypass captcha

If you're not using TOR, there are few tips which can help to make captcha easier, I can tell from my experience. First - clean Google cache in your browser setting. But it's only short term solution. Thing which worked best for me - log out from your Google account when you need to solve ReCaptcha. And last - you can use incognito window, but it's not very convenient way to use browser.
6778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: February 07, 2019, 09:14:16 PM
Has anyone notice the pool?

FC Barcelona   - 111 (39.9%)
Real Madrid   - 139 (50%)

But looking at the point table it seems FC Barcelona is way ahead then others. I don't think in next couple match Ath. Bilbao and Valladolid are real threat for them?

Is this another boring league like Serie A?
This is very old poll. It was made before previous season when Barca sold Neymar and even Barca fans had pesimistic feelings about upcoming season.
I don't know about other people opinion, but for me La Liga is definitely not boring like Serie A or Ligue when winner is already known before new season
@slaman29 I think it's too early to write-off Coutinho. I still hope that he can start to play at least in such level as he played in 2018 when he arrived to Barca.

Edit in Copa match Joaquin scored a goal directly from corner kick - you must see it. Betis leading against Valencia 2:0, 30 minutes to play.
6779  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetHUB.io || +Microwallet (9 coins) ||+Dice & +Jackpot||+Games||+Exchange on: February 07, 2019, 09:02:28 PM
I'm a member of FaucetHub from from the very beginning, and I always follow the rules so I was surprised today by the message that my account is frozen for reason that is connected to 29 other user accounts which is complete nonsense since I have only one account there. Also it say that I am caught doing fraudulent activities 1 times and to have fraud score 14.5.

I guess it's about fraud points I receive by some referral payments, and I warned mexicantarget about that and it is related to this : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5064397.msg48484762#msg48484762

I hope that this issue can be resolved, I have not cheated anyone and I do not have multiple accounts - I think I am just victim of not perfect anti-fraud system...

I'm sorry to hear that you got banned... I think it's likely that it's fault of of your referrals that you got banned. Maybe many abusers joined faucets under your ref links, or maybe it's just a one person with multiple accounts. But if what I'm saying is true - it's strange that they joined faucets under your ref links. Usually greedy abusers using their own ref links to get all commission. Have you tried open support ticket on Faucethub? Because FH don't solve similar problems on Bitcointalk usually.
6780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: February 06, 2019, 11:24:55 PM
Here is car launch schedule:

Almost all cars will be launched in this and next week. First pre-season testing will start on 19th February. More than one month until new season...
I have a pretty good feeling for RBR this year.  Anyone wanna bet against 'RBR finishes above Ferrari in points' this year?  Nothing big.  Just a friendly bet of 10 bucks.  Grin
Brave prediction! I'm in! Cheesy I see no way how Red Bull can finnish above Ferrari in constructors championship.
Sauber officially is now Alfa Romeo Sauber Racing team. After so many years Alfa is back in formula 1. Maybe they will be good or something close to what they were back in the early years.
In previous season they already had Alfa Romeo logo on the car, so these changes were planned for long time. But it won't make big changes, they will remain to be reserve team of Ferarri.
