After draw between Barca and Valencia, today Atletico had chance to reduce gap to 3 points. But they lost to Betis 1:0, Atleti made just 1 shot on target! Noe Barca are leading by 6 points.
Real reached fifth win in a row in La Liga against Alaves. Now they are just 2 points behind Atletico and 8 behind Barca. Despite very bad first part of season they are still in fight for La Lita title.

Either of Real Madrid or Atlético Madrid, or maybe both teams will have to drop points in the next La Liga week, as they will face each other in the Madrid derby next Saturday while Barça will have chance to extend their lead at the top of the table when they face struggling Athletic Bilbao.

Btw, good news for Barcelona fans, seems like Messi, despite his injury in the last league match, will finally play in El Clasico tomorrow, according to some reports from Spain. Can't wait for this game.

Barcelona is more favored at this time but Real Madrid did not give up because they also wanted to prove that even without CR7 they remained a team feared by all clubs.

I don't agree with you. El Clasico it's not about Messi and CR7. El Clasico was big thing for many decades before these players arrived and it will remain to be big rivalry forever. It was great to see competition between Messi and Ronaldo for many years, but now El Clasico didn't become less exciting.

That is so true.

El Classico was all about the stars that were playing in the game and the competition between Messi and Ronaldo. Now that Ronaldo is not going to take part in the game there are not so many interests in watching the game. I think Barcelona is going to dominate the match with a score of 3 goals ahead. Real's defense is strong but they will not stand the pressure.

Less than 6 hours to go as Barcelona welcome Real Madrid to Camp Nou for the first leg of the Copa Del Rey Semi-final, Barcelona has been the better side between both teams this season and currently sit at the top of the La Liga table with 8 points more than Real Madrid in 3rd position, However with Real Madrid finding their feet back in recent matches they could post a serious threat to Barcelona chances of reaching the final.

I expect a goal-filled encounter at both ends. I guess Barca would win the game 3 - 1.

With their 4th win in a row and getting 2 points behind atl.madrid they are once again at second position possibility, being the second team when the season ends is not that bad in la Liga since Barcelona and Madrid always share the top 2 spot and doesn't matter how bad they started as long as they finish at top 2 table.

Next week they will play against each other and I doubt real Madrid will let this one go, if atl.madrid wins the difference will be 5 and if its a tie the difference stays but if real wins they will be at top 2 once again which is something they always want. I can see real getting this one no matter what, I am going to try to bet a decent amount on them for this week.

Real always plays to win La Liga, it will not be happy with the second place but for this year there is not much they can do as Barcelona is far ahead. In La Liga Barcelona and Real always are the main rivals but in these late years the team which make less errors wins La Liga so Real cannot go past second place in their best effort.

Great match, El Clasico never dissapoints. I feel like the game could've gone either way, we dominated the first half, even though Barca had some clear chances, and then Barcelona dominated the 2nd half. Llorente was a bit underwhelming in the midfield, and Marcelo had such a terrible night that he made Malcom look like a world class player.

Btw, what a terrible mistake from Ramos in the 1-1, he completely let the ball go right into the net

But tonight Malcom had great match, while Coutinho had another average performance. It's also great to see that Alena got chance to play in Clasico. BTW, does anyone knows why Dembele wasn't in squad list because I missed news about him.

Risking Messi for the Entire match would have been unreasonable, considering he claimed he was still in discomfort, but I'm glad Barça were able to secure a draw, I look forward to second leg of the fixture, hopefully we can pull another away win at the Santiago Bernabue.

Poor choice from Valverde, Marcelo was getting bodied by Malcom who was easily Barcelona's best player, would've been better to fully rest Messi and keep Malcom on the pitch.

This was indeed a very competitive match honestly, was not expecting Real Madrid to offer any challenge to Barcelona. I’m surprised Bale didn’t start he missed an excellent shot to wrap it up for Madrid, Couthino was awful it’s only a matter of time before he’s sold. I wonder had Messi started would he been the difference, as Barcelona was clearly missing him on the pitch.

Real Madrid   - 139 (50%)

But looking at the point table it seems FC Barcelona is way ahead then others. I don't think in next couple match Ath. Bilbao and Valladolid are real threat for them?

I think it is Barcelona who missed the big chance, because now they have to travel to Madrid and get all the pressure there. Then again, they didn't exactly have problems beating Real Madrid at their own home, so I guess they're not worried.

Coutinho must so regret being in Barcelona now, but I guess Chelsea don't mind paying for him? Messi will be fully fit for Round 2, so watch out Madrid!

This is very old poll. It was made before previous season when Barca sold Neymar and even Barca fans had pesimistic feelings about upcoming season.
I don't know about other people opinion, but for me La Liga is definitely not boring like Serie A or Ligue when winner is already known before new season
@slaman29 I think it's too early to write-off Coutinho. I still hope that he can start to play at least in such level as he played in 2018 when he arrived to Barca.

Valencia were able to come back from the 2 goals deficit to secure a draw in the match Cheryshev and Gameiro's injury time goal will see the visitors go back with a draw and 2 aways goals ahead of the 2nd leg, I'm sure they'll fancy their chances in the 2nd leg since they'll be playing at home.

I saw the Joaquin's goal from the corner, I really don't know what the keeper was doing off his line with the ball obviously approaching his goal, He really should have dealt with that easily.
