I don't know, and it's impossible for any of us to say if the price is being manipulated or not. We do know that the U.S. Justice Department had open a criminal probe in order to investigate if the price is being manipulated or not. I have no idea how they will carry that investigation, but I guess we just need to keep an eye on how everything resolves.
I guess that there are some pump and dump schemes, but those should not be enough for BTC, because although bitcoin market is not huge, I would say it's big enough to be protected from that. Unless exchanges itself were doing it, since they do hold huge amounts of coins. Regulation is closing on them though, so if these things happen, and with the U.S. Justice Department getting involved as well, I would say that things should start getting better now.
It will be hard for them to manipulate price especially those coins that are listed in multiple exchanges, I don't think exchanges were capable of doing it since it will make their company less trusted. It will only be applicable if they are on top holders of that coin that can control it, but it will be always applicable for there are too many coins to prioritize with. Bitcoin still not in the mainstream. when considering about the past every time we can this kind of fluctuations. It is normal scenario.
Most of the time bitcoin price down means, all market cap going down. then all the alts coin going down. Only stable coin remaining in the same value. (such as USTD)
If you can now invest on bitcoin, I believe you can more than 15% gain with a very short time. We can see price increment aftermarket correction.

Saving your important passwords and private keys are good. But then you will need a powerful safe to store them in so as not to lose them due to flooding or fire outbreaks. Do what I do. Open a fresh email account. Then save your passwords and important private key and documents in the drafts of the email. Ensure you don't use this email for any website. Don't use it for sign ups anywhere to reduce the chances of it getting hacked. You should be fine.

I think the reason why they are saying bitcoin is scam is because they do not fully know what is bitcoin. They are not aware to what bitcoin can do and it is the reason why they they see bitcoin as scam.
actually they want to get cheap price.no one buy bitcoin in high price.so they make fud or saying scam every where, in order make other people panic and sell their asset. If we keep paying with crypto to Starbucks then it could happen that in very short period of time they will have huge huge stock of ETH and they might just as business will sell it right away for their benefits. Thus it could lead to ETH dumping. This can happen with every other business and thus instead of becoming the utility it can happen that it might turn into dump machine. Lolz. 1. First one was 6th February. (BTC around $5800 and market cap around 280b)
2.Second one was around April first week. (BTC around $6500 andmarket cap around 255b)
3. Third one "now". I think this is another opportunity who missed last two. I think we can see the price around ($6800 to $7100, just my opinion)
Good news that, we are making lower high each of these stages. One day chart shows we do not have much momentum to deep much lower.
Your assumptions might be right OP, as from the previous things happen with bitcoin, seems that each time that downfall showed up opportunity to buy and hold will give us good profits, if we missed those two then better to buy now and wait for another rise, might possible to go deep again probably better to wait till it reached the ground before buying and then hold after some time and enjoy the gains. |

We do have our own personal opinions about this matter and most of us still believes with this genius, vitalik and ETH can't be separated even if he will accept the offer, I personally thinks that he knew that this project already been successful and he already been engaged with it, its just another positive things to consider as Google really eyeing to crypto and maybe they are planning to have their own coins so they needed vitalik to begin with, though its just my personal thing and I don't have concrete evidence to claim it.
