Relax Dude evan has NOT even said anything yet
you get your little firework just chill for a bit !
yeah, your right. Got worried for a minute they wouldnt get the attention they deserve but thinking it over i'm sure they had some compiling to do (which just eats hours and hours) and are most likely in the middle of making a public announcement on all forums.

So this is basicly it about the open source? no twitter tweet ? no official announcement on here ? or on Reddit ? or on Darkcointalk ? This is like a large milestone for the developers, to be honest i was exspecting a bit more fireworks from their side ...
edit : i'm being wayy to impatient here. my apologies.

I can also see only one actual argument for v1 versus several for v2. Bear in mind though that this press release is the one for the techy & crypto press rather than the mainstream press.
I only gave suggested edits the first version because those with technical knowledge will know what is going on. The audience that wouldn't know what is going on would not be technical. In addition, those with technical competency would also be able to read the non-technical version and still be able to go a bit deeper if they wanted to. Non-technical people could only ever respond to non-technical information. Now try reading that after a few beers The message is that there are no "knowns." There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we do not know we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. - D Rumsfeld. In the spirit of openness, I thought I would come clean and let you all know I'm actually sat in front of a bank of super computers at GCHQ....and I know where each and every one of you lives. You're first on the list Sir Crouton. i just hope those supercomputers are not running on Linux and using some kind of Bash software...

Darkcoin open-source (specifically Darksend which handles the anonymity part) is scheduled for 29th of september 2014, exact time unknown. After that the developers will focus on developing a new system of Instant Transactions that (if it works) could transform the whole cryptocurrency scene as transactions could be done in matter of 10's of seconds through Darkcoin's Masternodes network. qwizzie

while trying to implement Mintpal V2 they were hit with a large DDoS attack. That was happening 23 hours ago.

your looking at the MN's .. you need to focus on the pools : https://drk.mn/blocks.html current % complying with 20% MN payouts : 68.59 Edit : to be honest i think we will have a difficult time convincing the pools that pay only 10% MN right now (18.77% of the pools) to switch to 20% MN payout so i think it will be a waiting game untill Evan decides to activate the switch and enforces it.

from Mintpal (they sent a tweet out) : Just been hit by a large DDoS, trying to mitigate it now. Apologies for the inconvenience.

That guy is pretty sharp, him and his fellow BTC afficionados aren't blind to DRK, I think a lot of BTC folk are just biding their time, waiting for open source, and quietly stacking DRK... you have to read between the lines of that episode... i know he is pretty sharp, i seen episodes of him in the Bitcoin Group YouTube episodes (with Kristov and other members of the panel) .. i just find his humor in the madbitcoin shows hilarious.
