681  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 22, 2017, 06:09:04 PM
I'm beginning to wonder if the masses will every start buying, or if Bitcoin will only remain a niche investment. What would it take to see something like a line of people out the door in front machines like that one? Perhaps one day hyperinflation will kick in, or a total fiat collapse. Maybe then that will wake them up.

The vast majority of people either have never heard of Bitcoin or are barely aware of its existence. Most of those who know about it don't really understand it.

Ignorance breeds fear and apprehension. It certainly doesn't lead to people putting in their hard-earned money.  This is why public adoption is so low and why we're still basically in the early adopter phase.

As public awareness and education grows. so will adoption. The s-curve of adoption is still a long way from going vertical. When that happens, we'll see the 6-digit prices many speculate about.

I don 't think the quarreling and chaos in the bitcoin sphere is very helpful for mass adoption.

Probably gonna see a dip to 3.5k-3.7k

Beautiful bounce.

Looks like this rally ain't over yet and $10k is realistically in sight

It just got started. We are not even in bubble territory. We just had some major corrections. Winter The Crisis is coming!  Cheesy

let the MAGIC 10 k comes i have a very special bottle off champagne for this occasion to drink with my BTC boys Smiley Smiley

A small bump, few hundred and a big dip afterwards first please, before the 10 K comes in... . ( Otherwise I can 't pay the champagne) Tongue Tongue

Indeed pretty impressive. Did not expect that to happen to be honest. I really thought we would stay around 3700-3800, low volume sideways and then a second dump to 3400 -3500 at least.
This bounce is strong. Almost back to 4k now.

De denker die denkt... . Cool There will be much more serious bumps... . And the trend is to the downside... .For a while

Question for Wetsuit :

We collect doge on Free doge. And we tried to transfer (it was 162 doge) to Coinpot. They simply vanished in the abyss of the Pot... . Huh Grin Shocked

Now I see that we can also deposit doge on our Freebitco accounts. Only minimum is 9756 Doge ? That would mean something like 120 weeks... .

Or did I see something wrong? Roll Eyes

Grts

Hi mate, where exactly did you see that? I use both faucets but I didn't know about that. I've searched but I haven't found anything.

Well, if they would be online, look under deposit, there is the option to pay with altcoins... . But for the moment, both freebitco and freedoge are in Error 502 mode... . Roll Eyes Huh

Hey, somehow I can't link the Coinpot doge wallet to the dogechain  Huh When I'm trying to deposit doge to Coinpot I get this message "Please specify a valid recipient address" (of course I just copy the Coinpot address, so it's correct), Sign Message option does not work either.

I tried to send doge from freedog to coinpot and they simply disappeared... .

What I find funny is the number of troll accounts here, still pretending to be pro-Bitcoin.

You can easily peg them by the constant fixation with BCH and all the concern trolling posts and the "what if?" posts.

Never the less, if this Mr. Ver en Mr. Wu are as significant as they seem to be, this whole action is to be taken serious. And if it has to do with China, then the more so.

A question for the specialists here:

So some entities are liquidating large quantities of BTC to pump up BitcrashCoin, but the price of BTC remains quasi unaffected.

That maybe means there is a substantial inflow of fiat ?

And if these same entities are really planning to, at a certain point, cash their Bitcrash coins out, then what will happen with all
the others who bought that thing?

It will be very funny if schism happens in a couple of months due to Core still firm with Segwit and BitcrashCoin takes over the top.

Would that be a realistic scenario?

..  Right after BTCE is seized, I now have some FBI tard on my account shilling for bitcoincash and tethers.
Interesting theory. but sounds pretty paranoic Smiley why would fbi need your account for that

I call a false flag operation by r0ach himself.

imho it's an inside job by some joo admin. Unless r0ach recycled his password from some other website account.

Well if it was one of r0ach's imagined enemies, quite a lot of people could be on that list. In fact anyone who's not a caucasian, right-wing, cis-gendered heterosexual male. That's like 95% of the population!

Admit, it would be worrying if he would be disappeared... . (By some alphabet agency) Grin

Im getting really tired of bitcoin as a whole. Never ending drama which will imo eventually kill it.

If a small group can affect the bitcoin market like this, what chance has it long term against bigger players?

Ever thought that's exactly how They want you to feel?

The Bitcoin market is still laughably thin. Anyone with the means can fully fuck with it.

Unless humans can be removed from it, I don't think it's going to end up how it was originally planned to be.

I don 't believe this is actions by individuals. This is the PBOC moving China from BTC to BCH. Thru the actions of what seems to be individuals.

I sold my BCH on the first day I could trade it on Kraken and that was some BCH I don't regret selling. BCH could win out but I think I'll stick with BTC. I do see some good opportunities to buy some BCH with all these sudden fluctuations, though.

I sold immediately for 0.145.... . So we will see... .

I just put in a withdrawal of my LTC from Coinpot to Cryptopia. Hopefully it goes through without a glitch.

I don 't know if it is general, but the Moon faucets are running extremely difficult here today... .

And my 162 Doge coins I transferred from freedoge to coinpot have dissappeared in the abyss of the pot... . Grin

Yeah, lots of glitches.

Problem is that if you don 't play for 24Hours you loose your loyalty bonus. Even if the reason is their site not operating properly. I had it already twice.

Moonbit is working for me now. I just made my first claim of the day.

Here too. Nevertheless, as soon as revenue from intrest on Freebitco exceeds my actual revenue from faucets, I am going to reduce activity to just trickle charge. I 've had it a bit with all the hassle and overload of all kind of trashy shit malicious stuff being smuggled into my devices by these sites... .

I need to start transferring my earnings over to freebitcoin, have you ever ran into any issues doing this? Any idea what their minimum deposit is?

Well, as long as you don 't go betting in their casino, it is very much ok. Intrest is low, only 4% year, but it is compounded and calculated daily. Minimum treshold for intrest is 30K Sat, so very low.
Fees for transactions are transparent and not high.

They are very straight and have a very good customer service, not via E-mail, but via their topic on this forum thread. We have had some issues, but they always have soved them.

That said, I also never try to trick their system so that may help of course.

And finally, I never put all my eggs in one basket, so I spread between Freebitco, Kraken, Electrum and my safe place Trezor.
