Some of you are talking about BTC at 50K$ or even 500K$, and this relatively quickly.
It looks great on paper, but aren't you worried that instead of meaning we would all be rich, it would mean the dollar has utterly crashed, the world economy is in shambles, and/or WW3 is going on ?

Not really, since IBM = Hyperledger.. and is talking about 'blockchain technology' - which is the whole corporate 'blockchain without bitcoin' meme.

If you are wired in to the fake news stream that appears to be the foregone conclusion anyway ... so maybe if we get the dollar crash without WW3 bit it would be a bonus?

Hi bitserve, How is a paper wallet not protected if a pc is compromised?
few ways ... can get the paper wallet file out of the printer's memory ... or more unlikely if they've hijacked your webcam might be able to catch a shot of you waving around your paper wallet or other private things With my cryptosteel I created my public/private keys on a laptop that was completely off the network. Put the keys on the cryptosteel then took the hard drive out of the computer, opened it up, took out the disk and smashed it to pieces. Then I took the pieces and the computer itself and burned it in a fire. The cryptosteel are wrapped in a metallic tape that is not very common so I will know if it has been tampered with. Needless to say...fairly secure.

Dollar collapse is imminent once US treasuries get dumped on the market. Only way to prevent this is by showing to the world that US is the only true safe haven. The only way of doing that is by causing chaos all over the rest of the world. This is why US establishment is desperately looking to start a war. If that can't be done by proxy war with Russia in Syria or Ukraine (direct military clash is impossible for many 'nuclear' reasons) then it must be done with North Korea. If China say 'no' then it must be done with Venezuela. If not then it must be done with Iran. Actually, a war with Iran is the best option for US military/security and political/financial complex. Or so they think.

It has absolutely nothing to do with that. They are using "the blockchain" not Bitcoin. How to spread FUD 101. For this to work, the following is necessary "The key to performing this hack is simply connecting two pins inside the Trezor device at the right time, even paperclip is suitable for this.". They also claim that there is an advanced version of it where this action is not necessary, but fail to disclose it. Additionally, this was bound to happen. The next version of Trezor and similar hardware will/should be resistant to this. <gmaxwell> the hack is boring <gmaxwell> you should assume anyone with physical access to any of these hardware wallets can steal their coins.
Nicely put. Side note: Link seems shady. I wouldn't touch the stuff that it provides.

On topic: Not sure if I need to buy or sell. I'm hoping for a dip before 22nd which tempts me to do a short but I'm scared if I could get rekt.
You seem to be gambling way too much with your crypto, if you are cutting your cashflow with those kinds of tight timelines. It seems to me that guys need to have a pretty solid idea of their cashflow and attempt to have it figured out for 6 months. Of course there are going to be crunch periods, but in a crunch period, your cashflow should not depend on the performance of BTC. Accordingly, in the past 2 years, we have had more than 16x price appreciation. And from the beginning of the year we have had more than 4x price appreciation. I think that the point that I am getting at is that these kinds of price appreciations should allow enough accumulation of bitcoin's and cash (especially cash, because we are at an upwards point right now)... anyhow sounds like you are overinvested and you need to sell a little bit so that you do not stress about it so much, and if it goes up sell a little more... if it goes down, buy... and everything will work out fine. Thanks for your advice, I appreciate the opinions provided. I wouldn't say I am overinvested, I have fair balance between crypto and cash. After some thinking I am deciding to HODL instead, as always! In fact I haven't touched my paper wallets from 2013 and haven't even cashed out those BitCH coins. I am very patient that way I understand that sometimes guys will just post a question about should I sell or should I buy because there are various uncertainties in the market... and if we are human, we cannot help but to go through these phases of uncertainties.. especially when the price is moving a lot... and we feel that it could reverse at any time, and even though the current momentum is up. When we have a consolidation period, though, like we had in the past several days, that should have been a little bit of an opportunity to get our bearings back, so then at that point, we are again ready for either price direction.... because we do not know which way the price is going to go - even though currently, the price pressures are up.

The underclasses are coming for your private keys!
That was the basis of the book "The Revolt Against Civilization: The Menace of the Under-Man": "The author rails against the moronic, rebellious, Bolshevik Under Men of the world and suggests "world eugenics" to remedy their impending takeover and the ruin of civilization" In other news, either Jews are joining the alt-right now, or these are Jewish agent provacateurs trying to incite violence at Charlottesville: So there was never a white supremacist/KKK member/other fruitcake that was proven to have black ancestry ? Never an antisemite with a Jewish ancestor ? Of course, you're judging by only looking at his face, it's very possible he has no such ancestry, genetics are funny that way. PS : have you done your due diligence and are 100% certain you don't have any such ancestry yourself ?
