I do not think that people now are needed to be convinced into the fact that it is very profitable to invest into Bitcoin. They see how it jumped and understand that BTC has a great future. It gives freedom and speed of transactions.

Altcoins are very safe and anonymous cryptocurrencies (most of them). Transactions with alts are faster. You can send your crypto to the other country in less than a minute. Bitcoin is slower, although it is supported my most people.

I do not think that it will be exactly January when Ethereum will reach a thousand (later – yes). However, I believe that 2018 year will be a meaningful time for this crypto. It will cost probably twice more than now and its capitalization will be enlarged sufficiently.
