Ethereum at $1000 in Jan 2018?

I thought ETHEREUM was independant from bitcoin, but it lose a lot of dollar value at the same time than bitcoin. The global crypto market is under 300B and I think we enter in a good bearish period for few months at least. So no, not 1000$ january.

I disagree with you. The price of ETH very much depends on the price of bitcoin. If bitcoin restores, then the eth also grows, and if bitcoin falls, then the eth drops even more. I think that in January 2018 it will cost 600 dollars

Since ethereum and bitcoin's trend is almost similar, you can almost say that ethereum's price will also go up, I really hope that this will happen but no one can actually tell. You can still invest in ethereum though, just takte the risk, it might be worth it.

All the altcoins price depends on bitcoin price. When the bitcoin will drop suddenly all the altcoins also drop except 1 or 2 coins. Come to the ETH after bitcoin this is the 2nd popular coin in all cryptocurrencies. But as per the present market, $1k is not possible in just 2 months.

I don't think by January it will have stabilised to be worth 1,000. You are asking it to more than double it's current value in less than 2 months.

I still think it will increase steadily though, so it's not a bad time to invest!

I woke up and my order filled at 410. Rejoice rejoice. If you diddnt sell already I recommend you don’t now. Selling and buying low risk is too high now. For all we know it’s might bounce from 400 you miss the boat. We may dip lower. But we are scaling with btc. When that bounces we will too and I think the dip is almost complete. May retrace further. That’s why buy the dips and forget cuz we been here before. It may take us a month. Who cares but we will rock past 515 in January’s and go to 650-700.

It's not impossible coz the Eth getting better and better now a days. For me now, Eth is best coin not just because I don't have  bitcoin yet, the way i checked in the market its getting high and high the value of Eth.

I do not think that it will be exactly January when Ethereum will reach a thousand (later – yes). However, I believe that 2018 year will be a meaningful time for this crypto. It will cost probably twice more than now and its capitalization will be enlarged sufficiently.

Things change too quickly, we don't what will happen tomorrow. Yesterday it was 500$ ATH now it went back to 400$. We don't know if tomorrow it will be 300$ or $500. I don't really know what to think now. I'm HODLing when I don't know what to do.

Yes you are absolutely right. Like the dotcom bubble - may be you remember. The same ***t was there all was growing growing and then -- ba buuuumm, crashed. All the companies which took part in this speculations never appeared again on the market. IBM, eBay, Oracle, Amazon and many others disappeared
It can crash, but no one can reject crypto, like we did not reject internet shops after dotcom crash.

That's completely unpredictable, but in my opinion, maybe the price of ETH would be in the range of $600-$700. Reaching the $1K mark would take quite some time for Ethereum. Yet, it's us on whom the value of Eth depends. We are the ones who'll shape it

I'm a big fan of ethereum. And i have faith that it will hit over $1000 next year. Ethereum is the most promising crypto aside from bitcoin.

Ethereum  is really an amazing coin and i think it has not reached it potential value till now and due to many unknown reasons it is still under-valued. I think when people will realize the strength of this coin, it value will reach very high. Currently everyone focus is on Bitcoins and bitcoin fork coins. We have to wait a little more before we actually see the movement of Ethereum.

Yup, why would you sell now if you are a normal investor. Fuck the tax hits and the chance to miss it going up even further. ETH isn't going anywhere IMHO.

This weekend should be interesting to see what happens in the whole crypto market...

Isn't possible the price of ETH  will hit  1000$ in the first month of 2018, because of the price of bTC so high the price and it will not hit the price of 1k maybe the price will hit 500 or 700 before the end of 2017.

At this rate Bitcoin would have to be over $20,000 for Ethereum to reach $1,000. And that is assuming the exchange rate ETH/BTC doesn't fall any further.
