681  Bitcoin / Press / Re: (2014-01-02) Congressman Accepts BitCoin For His US Senate Run on: January 04, 2014, 02:55:13 PM
Good publicity is "good" (for both bitcoin's and that congressman) . that's a good jump from being considered drug money to be used in all legal activities.
682  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-01-03] WSJ: Malaysia's Central Bank Warns of Bitcoin Risks on: January 04, 2014, 02:51:29 PM
it seems central banks just like to copy-cat each other. just after china-India-malaysia. IMO if BTC's has a high popularity in these countries even if a country ban it people will make use of face-to-face and similar direct methods instead of exchangers.

688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to buy Litecoin in the Netherlands? on: December 16, 2013, 08:46:45 PM
LTC can be deposited btc-e.com though they are said to have some issues in bank wire deposits, you could also buy btc's and then transfer to a good crypto-exchanger and transfer it to LTC.
689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much will a bit coin cost in 3 years on: December 16, 2013, 08:39:40 PM
IMHO it will be at the level of $2000-$3000 in that time of course with no proof except just my opinion that the price might continue to grow with the same growth pattern and more stably.
690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How come I can't post?? on: December 16, 2013, 08:36:48 PM
The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)
Activity is updated every 30 minutes.
691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why did you come to Bitcointalk? on: December 16, 2013, 08:35:24 PM
I like the fact that its such a libertarian community without actually being "libertarianforum.org". Also some of the people here are crazy smart. Also my main interests are economics, philosophy and technology so there are a lot of people here who share those interests.
692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin blockchain data torrent on: December 16, 2013, 08:34:11 PM
Awesome! It will help me next time.
And obviously it helps people who create a lot of bitcoind instances for themselves.
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will I be able to use Bitcoins at the mall in 2014??? on: December 16, 2013, 08:32:55 PM
I hope we get some Bitcoin ATM machines here in the uk next year. That would really help promotion and legitimise it with the public.
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oops - 20BTC fee paid on .05 transaction? on: December 16, 2013, 08:31:31 PM
This will give some Bitcoin haters enough material to start ranting about how imperfect the system this.
But hopefully it will also educate some people on how to use it , and to double check what they do if unsure of it.
695  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When did you start? on: December 16, 2013, 08:30:06 PM
I started after the initial takeoff around March of 2011. I set up miners on my AMD card, and was making a btc every few days initially. My how times have changed.

698  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptsy on: December 14, 2013, 02:16:18 PM
Cryptsy is a nice site and has the potentials to be really profitable if you are a really good trader or can predict the movement of alt-currencies. though you shouldn't advertise your id like this (though I have no issue with that).
699  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-10 Cyprus Central Bank warns about risks in use of Bitcoin on: December 14, 2013, 02:10:53 PM
Take about being rude considering the money they confiscated to pay the country's debt.

I heard that Slovenia is the next in line. Can anyone update me on the situation there?

That's strange, isn't that were bitstamp is located?
700  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cashing out in Canada on: December 14, 2013, 02:08:10 PM
I think cavirtex is good according to some reviews (but there is a delay in bankwires or transfer issue for some people though) it's better to do your own intelligence before using any exchanger though. Bitstamp is recommended by some too.
