Seeing how quickly the users from the top of the most merited ranking win merits by tens and even hundreds of each month, I thought to myself today: "In a moment these crazy people will reach ten thousand merits!" and then another thought appeared: "I wonder when it will happen and who will be the first of them?"

I decided to check it, but how to do it relatively accurately? I decided that you can not do it exactly, you can of course calculate the average earned merits per day, but what period to take? From the beginning of the merit system introduction? Probably not a good comparison, because in the first weeks the merits flew like crazy, only later their distribution stabilized a little. On the other hand, a longer period would be better. Ok, so a year, from today, but what about the users who started their activity later than in March 2018, for example in July 2018 in October or maybe this year? So I decided to calculate 4 different averages and on their basis set 4 likely dates of reaching 10k merits by users from the most merited list. Everyone knows what his activity looks like and which average will be the best in his case. Anyone can choose:

average from 1 year (2018-03-14 to 2019-03-13),
average from six months (2018-09-14 to 2019-03-13),
average from 3 months (2018-12-14 to 2019-03 -13) and
average of 1 month - exactly 28 days because February is shorter (2019-02-14 to 2019-03-13)

And here are the results I received (due to the limitations of characters in the post fit only the first 150 users from the list (full list here)

Of course, Theymos will be the one who will reach the fastest possibly already in September 2020 (if he maintains his best average for three months) but some of you have a chance to get there less than a year later ;-)

I have a chance to get there between November 2027 (rather unlikely to keep my last month averege) and March 2054  (I'm not sure if I will have enough enthusiasm to make it)

Of course, my predictions are just fun, I have not included hundreds of factors here (increase / decrease in the number of merits distributed over time, drop / increase in popularity of the forum, the appearance of new players or return of inactive, bullrun return, etc.)

Tym chętniej bym zobaczył wyszukiwanie tej frazy tj. buy btc czy nawet samego bitcoin (w wartościach bezwzględnych) w porównaniu z wykresem ceny btc jeśli to co mówisz jest prawdą (a nie wątpię że tak jest) maksymalny poziom wyszukiwań powinien przypadać tuż przed pęknięciem bańki i rozpoczęciem spadków...

O ja Cię chwalę za krótkiego posta na zachętę a Ty tutaj cały wątek wysmarowałeś i właśnie o to chodziło!!!!

Ciekawa narzędzie - czy ono podaje ilość w sztukach dziennie - jeśli tak to strasznie mało wyników... a może to procenty od maksymalnego wyszukania (to by sugerowała maksymalna wartość 100)?

a mógłbyś przyrównać np. zainteresowanie samym słowem "bitcoin" (ciekawi mnie porównanie go z kursem BTC w czasie)

Wszystko zależy co dla kogo jest nagrodą  
Myślę, że wielu z nas (teraz to sam się rozbawiłem   wielu... z pięciu)  lepiej użyję słowa większość ma satysfakcję z tego, że zaczęło się tutaj coś dziać i mimo, że nadal wieje tutaj pustką w porównaniu z innymi localami czy forami to jednak można tu swobodnie wpaść kilka razy w tygodniu i zawsze coś się znajdzie do przeczytania a dodatkowo jak widać zaczęły się pojawiać merity, które może nie płyną wodospadem ale jednak są i też dają satysfakcję...

a'propos za dodanie do zakładek co jak mniemam uczyniłeś w celu częstszego wpadania i komentowania... leci mericik na zachęte ;-) 505 wygląda dużo lepiej niż 504 (tak jakoś symetryczniej)

Postanowiłem dzisiaj dla sportu podejść do podrzuconego przez Ciebie tematu...

Początkowo wszystko wyglądało ok zalogowałem się i czekam. Bang! Rozpoczęło się więc zarzucam kup teraz fajnie w moment ładuje się formularz, wrzucam kwotę potwierdzam i mieli.... mieli... mieli...... - żadnej reakcji...po dwóch minutach zrezygnowany próbuję jeszcze raz a tam to samo... po trzeciej próbie to samo.... ale spokojnie minęło 5 minut a tu dopiero 1,5% poszło więc próbuję raz jeszcze.... znowu dupa! Wkurzony próbuję powtórzyć akcję przez komórkę i mikro sukces - jestem krok dalej - pojawił się komunikat że czekam w kolejce... to czekam w tym samy czasie podglądam na lapku jak idzie tempo dystrybucji... a tutaj nagle fik -> 20%... bęc 50%... jeszcze moment... 70% zatrzymało na chwilę.... spoglądam na telefon - cały czas w kolejce... rzut oka na lapka a tu już 80%.... 90%.... koniec... i po ptokach ;(

Dajcie znać czy ktoś z was podchodził do tematu? Interesuje mnie zwłaszcza czy komuś się udało kupić przy korzystaniu z chroma na windzie (bo ja miałem jakieś ewidentne problemy....)

Nie chcę być nieuprzejmy, ale w ciągu miesiąca machnąłeś 45 postów, z czego tylko 3 na naszym podwórku! Niniejszym przywołuję Cię do porządku i oczekuję bardziej patriotycznego podejścia!!!

To oczywiście żarty i nie traktuj ich w żadnym wypadku jako krytyki, ale jeśli udało by Ci się skrobnąć coś chociaż raz lub dwa w tygodniu - to właśnie również dzięki Tobie to forum może nabrać więcej życia.

Niestety takie mamy czasy i na prawdę ciężko o ICO/STO czy inną formę wprowadzenia nowej monety, która nie zaczyna się od konkretnego dumpa...
Na szczęście zdarzają się wyjątki chociażby te :

Tymczasem tak wygląda aktualna lista wątków (od samego początku systemu merit) i ilość meritów które się przez nie przewinęły

Do wyciągania danych niezmiennie używam SQLa z bazy aktualizowanej co piątek https://albertoit.github.io/Merit-Explorer-SQL/ a wykresik w starym dobrym Excelu.... oj przepraszam aktualnie LibreOffice z ustawioną przezroczystością tła następnie skopiowany do gipma, który pozwala na export do png (żeby nie stracić przezroczystości) trochę to na piechotę ale już się przyzwyczaiłem i ogarniam operację góra w dwie minuty...

I've checked each sub board separately (using https://albertoit.github.io/Merit-Explorer-SQL/) according to the next names that appear on the list of local boards. Currently, the name "Pilipinas" appears there,


So I've checked "Pilipinas" and went to another local board. Now when I've pulled out all subboards from the base, I saw that this language has two separate tags: "Pilipinas" and "Philippines":


So probably the tag has been changed recently and hence this inaccuracy ... In this case, combine the results for both local tags and change the value to the correct one:

Chcąc osiągnąć cel jaki nam przyświeca - czyli pokazania naprawdę dobrych wątków/postów, które nie zostały nagrodzone meritami nie możemy ograniczyć się do czystej statystyki - wątek może mieć wiele wyświetleń, ale słabiutką treść - w związku z tym trzeba będzie tutaj włączyć czynnik ludzki - w postaci naszych opinii że teksty są faktycznie dobre...

Pomyślę trochę i dam jakąś propozycję a potem wspólnie ją wyszlifujemy...

I've done something similar on my local polish board to activate our community Konkurs – Pula nagród co najmniej 10 meritów!!! the interest was not large as well ;(
I closed it after three months finding really few good posts (although one really good) but maybe my requirements were too big - 3 fresh good posts  written by low ranked users .

You don't have to apply to become a "local merit source" just a "merit source". Being merit source you decide if you focus rather on local board or other boards

As you have probably noticed in my post, I have encouraged people to write "valuable posts" on local boards because they can bring them merits ("valuable" means the opposite of those posts from the altcoin section you wrote about). Therefore, the assumption that an average altcoin childboard is 75% of posts with the smallest chance of receiving a merit can be very good news! This means that every post written on a local board in a section other than altcoin has a 4-times greater chance of getting a merit than I showed above!



This is a very valuable remark but notice in this case how low are rewarded with merits the posts in the Bitcoin Discussion section. Bearing in mind the high share of posts from the altcoin section in local boards mentioned by you. The more "worthwhile" it seems to be to post "valuable posts" on the local board than, for example, in the Bitcoin Discussion board.



I agree that in smallerst boards (Hebrew, Skandinavisk, Korean or similar), earning a few twenty merites may be a real problem, but at least half of the local boards have already been given 1000 and more merits, so you can say that they have potential. Other words You don't need to shine very much to get to the top 1000 today it's only 56 merits but getting to the top 100 is much more complicated  because you have to collect almost 400 of them...

Czytając Twoje słowa rzuciłem okiem na ilości bezwzględne - ilość meritów rozdanych na rosyjskojęzycznym boardzie i całkowicie zgodziłem się z nimi ponad 30 tysięcy rozdanych meritów przy naszych kilkuset nie ma przecież żadnego porównania...  

Dzisiaj w trakcie zbierania materiałów do wątku dotyczącego meritowej aktywności na lokalnych boardach Merit Champions from the local boards sporządzałem przeliczenia jak wygląda stosunek ilość meritów rozdanych na poszczególnych lokalnych subforach w uzależnieniu od ilości postów jakie tam powstały. Wyniki, które otrzymałem bardzo mnie zaskoczyły. Okazało się że wspomniani przez Ciebie rosjanie faktycznie górują w wartościach bezwzględnych, lecz kiedy przeliczymy ich liczbę meritów rozdanych na lokalu na ilość stworzonych postów - wtedy z bezapelacyjnej dominacji spadają aż na 15 miejce (z 21 locali).


Trzeba też zauważyć że na tym polu nasze lokalne podwórko też nie wygląda wcale najgorzej - zajmujemy 8 pozycję, oczywiście mogłoby być dużo lepiej  lider ma dwa i pół raza wyższą średnią meritów na post ale my mamy dokładnie tyle większą średnią od wspominanych wcześniej wschodnich sąsiadów ...
Patrząc natomiast na czołówkę stawki jestem mocno zaskoczony bardzo wysoką pozycją Chorwatów...
 

When you start your career on the forum, after some time you start to think that it would be nice to get a higher rank then you get the information that you need a merit. OK, it took some time to write a few dozen posts and no merit appeared. What is going on? What do I do not so surely somewhere you can find some guides?

Let's see what the numbers say ...
Since the introduction of the merit system to 15/03/2019, a total of 340,932 merits have been distributed, of which as much as 104,066 for local subboards - which is 30.52% - which is quite good. This means that people who do not speak English fluently have a chance to get a merit. But what are the real chances of getting a merit for writing a post. The best way to check this would be to compare the number of posts that have been created in a given board since the introduction of the merit system to the number of merits given there. I did not find such statistics anywhere, but knowing that the merit system was introduced on 24/01/2019 it was enough to find the number of posts that were made on local boards at that time and compare it with current values.

I found a screenshot of 23.01.2018 - one day before the introduction of the merit system ... (https://web.archive.org/web/20180123014711/https://bitcointalk.org/) - thanks to which I was able to calculate the approximate number of posts created in each forum / subforum. Comparing this number with the number of merits given on that board, I managed to calculate the average number of merits per 1 post.

As you can see, depending on the language, the percentage of awarded posts varies - from just 0.2% over 13%, but is it a lot or not? Compare these values with other popular boards - eg this Bitcoin Discussion, Mining or Meta

As you can see, the ratio of the number of merits to number of posts written in the Meta section is several times larger than in any local board, but when we compare local boards from the top of the table (for example German) with Bitcoin Discussion board what we see? - It can be 4 times easier (statistically) to get meirt on the locar board.

Ok, we have already seen that statistically wise posting in local departments can result in many merits, in some cases even several times more than in creating posts on the main English-language boards.
And now let's take a look at specific users - let's see how among the most rewarded users of merit there are those who only (or mostly) earned their merits on local sub-floors. We will use the report of 1000 of the best merit users from the bpip site https://bpip.org/report.aspx?r=mostmerited.

This list is "the best of the best" in the field of merits received since the system was introduced in January 2018.
Analysis of mertite sources obtained by individual users has shown that

373 users from the first 1000, over 25% of their merits, obtained on local boards
334 users from the first 1000, over 50% of their merits, obtained on local boards
283 users from the first 1000, over 75% of their merits, obtained on local boards
223 users from the first 1000, over 90% of their merits, obtained on local boards
184 users from the first 1000, over 95% of their merits, obtained on local boards
106 users from the first 1000 100% of their merits obtained on local boards

We see that a really large percentage of "the best in merit" the vast majority or all their merits have earned in the local background. So we already know that many local posters went to the first thousand, but are they also among the best of the best? So let's check if the local posters also hit the first 100 (be in the first thousand sounds good but be in the top 100 it sounds much better!).

As you can see, it does not look bad, let's check yet which highest positions among the top 100 took the local posters -

As you can see, a few users posting only or mainly on local boards have reached very high positions in the ranking. The best example is joniboini, who achieved the highest number of merits on the local board - up to 788 which accounted for over 90% of all his merits and enabled him to reach the 19th position. Another good example is abhiseshakana, who earned only few merits less on the local board - 774 pieces, but in his case they constituted as much as 99.74% of all his merits and allowed him to achieve a very high 27th position. The user who gained merit only on the local board and at the same time managed to achieve also the high position of 50 is mole0815.

To sum up this analysis, as I mentioned earlier, I support the advice provided by TMAN in his guide. Certainly, spending some time on learning and training English will go out for good and moreover, it will be useful not only on this forum but in every area of life.
But at the same time I wanted to show that the lack of good language skills does not exclude you from the race for high ranking positions or from the possibility of promotion to a higher rank. So, regardless of your language skills, it's always worth to create good posts in any language because they can give you a pass to high ranks as well as a lot of satisfaction.

Kolejny tydzień marca za nami i znowu mnie podkusiło żeby zajrzeć w statystyki... Zajrzałem tam i co znalazłem?
Kolejny Rekord!!! W ciągu dwóch tygodni marca przez nasze forum przewinęło się aż 148 meritów- absolutny rekord miesięczny .
Do tej pory najlepszym miesiącem był listopad 2018, w którym na naszym lokalu rozdano 102 merity wydawałoby się że jest to wynik nie do pokonania a jednak - przez pierwsze 2 tygodnie stycznie pobiliśmy go o ponad 45%.
Jak wspominałem w poprzednim poście w marcu mięliśmy zagranicznych gości - merit source którzy dość istotnie nam pomogli osiągnąć ten wynik, ale co bardzo ważne - nawet bez ich wsparcia i tak ten miesiąc jest wyjątkowy


Naprawdę nieźle wygląda ten czerwony słupek - a przypominam, że to jeszcze nie końca miesiąca mamy jeszcze całe dwa tygodnie - więc ciśnijmy Panowie i Panie może wybijemy dwie stówki...
