Got to love the ignore button.

Its sad that this coin needs to be constantly propped up just to not tank. Real vote of confidence there......

OR

Someone knows lots of idiots are going to dump at x5 and therefore are happy to buy.

<snip>
ok, thats all fine and good. but you fail to comment on the obvious.

WHY SEND ALL COINS TO A NEW ADDRESS EACH TRANSACTION??

that makes no sense. your point would be more valid if all of the bounties and faucets, etc were all paid from the same address, and you would see multiple withdraws from that address for each item paid. why complicate the transaction history? its obvious the road is intentionally being forked multiple times to try to conceal the trail. sure maybe someone just wants to move all the coins to new address sometimes. thats reasonable. but EVERY TRANSACTION?? no.

<snip>
that didnt explain the need to create a new address to send the "remainder" to after every single transaction. after every transaction the old address was emptied and abandoned. this is thousands of transactions.

Stop beating a dead horse and do some research.
This is known as "change address" and is part of the anonymous design of Bitcoin.

When you send a transaction the remaining amount i.e. change gets sent to another address. Someone can correct me but the Windows Wallet creates 100 address by default in your wallet. (i.e. you can backup your wallet.dat and do 99 transactions and still have the relevant keys to your coins).

684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 24, 2014, 04:58:25 PM
Hey with regards to Musent, I hope the rest of the Premine community, as it is, will not damage this coin as it really does have potential

<snip>

I've read every post about the faucet that I built and each one of you (Nullu, ctenc001 and the dev) have stated that I was given 15k PMC for a bounty, which is true. 50k PMC was originally put aside for the faucet. I stated on the main boards (http://preminecoin.cryptotycoons.com/forum/index.php?topic=8.0) to the dev and the community that I was building a faucet. I was told by the dev that the faucet had to be "new" and not a copy/paste job, to which, I worked my ass off on and hosted it, on my own. Before I could finish, I was given a deadline of January 29, there was another faucet that came online on January 26. It was a copy/paste job and I was in discussion with the dev about why I was working on a faucet that he knew about and then was giving the bounty to another person that basically broke his rules of what he wanted in the faucet. He said the person who built the faucet was willing to share the bounty with me and that's where the 15k originated from. I never knew the 15k bounty was for the faucet. A bounty, to me, is when you do work and receive a reward. What happened to the other 35k bounty? Where is that PMC? Why is it not being questioned about? According to this: http://blockchain.premineco.in/address/1MubvaxLtBSEi6SWRbb8my8Q5ST4oEG1fs there has only been 3345.5329097 PMC distributed to the community and now has a 0 PMC balance.

....Woah, hold your horses dude..

First to be clear I took a 0 (yes big fat 0) bounty for setting up the Faucet. Fengush (sp) and myself forfeited the bounty in return for giving it back to the community via the faucet. (in this very thread)

Out of the allocated 50k, the original faucet was given 15k, I assume from this post you where given 15k and the other 20k was given out (inc random block bonus etc) in this very thread via dev.

Out of that 15k over 15k has already been given out (in-fact I have topped up the Faucet with my own PMC (bought from CryptoRush for 1-3 Sats during the early dumps))... The address you are looking at is the "third" address for the Faucet (the first one ran up 200mb wallet and the second 100mb+ making the wallet unstable hence new wallets). Again all in this thread...

Lastly I top-up the Faucet every day to keep it running. Early days it was over 1000 PMC/day, going down to 500PMC (last fortnight'ish) and now 200-300PMC/day.....

The faucet still has a favicon that shows bitcoin and not premine.
Yes it does, but guess what? It works and is giving to the community!
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 23, 2014, 08:51:24 PM
The faucet seems empty :/

Seems fine to me, 85 PMC in their .. I will top it up a little later.
You're more than welcome to donate to it Cheesy

689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of SHA 256 Coins / Cryptocurrencies on: February 22, 2014, 04:22:00 PM
You have to add also PremineCoin PMC https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=427519.0
it says 100% premined
and we are creating this list so that ASIC owners can find altcoins to mine

No,it's not correct. You can mine the tx fees. It's the future of Bitcoin when all coins will be mined.

At the moment there are also block scripts to encourage the miners to point their asics to the network.

And remember that 1 PMC is about 0.30 USD at the moment and with good hash power you could earn something like 20 PMC at day

^^ this .... PMC
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 22, 2014, 11:13:54 AM
PMC has dropped a place on Mintpal. Keep voting everyone. We can make it if we keep pushing.

Yeah looks like other coins are depositing BTC to get votes....
Lets make a push for PMC!!!
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [2014 FLAGSHIP ALT] *EarthCoin* EAC +1 Community, +1 Exec Team, +1 Best Talent on: February 21, 2014, 11:22:55 PM
Hey guys,

I took a bounty from the team to get the site redesigned.  It's still not 100% polished to where I'd like it to be, but since everyone is eager to see progress, I will post it as is.

http://getearthcoin.com

Here are some of the things I've done in the last month in addition to the site since I've started working with the team.

Migrated earthcoin.biz to getearthcoin.com
Redesigned and developed the site to be responsive
Redesigned Facebook, Twitter, Reddit
Created http://earthcoin.uservoice.com to collect suggestions. This is integrated with the feedback button on new site.
Updated existing site while new site was being developed including writing content
Created TeamEarthcoin form to seek new talent. (and I've been reading them)
Going over merchant docs
Working with Android devs (Xploited and Hash Engineering)
Working with Earthcoin tip bot dev (sprocket)
Working with Earthazar dev (Centurion)
Submitting content to earthcoin.eu
Put my own fiat behind sponsored posts on facebook
and of course maintaining a presence in IRC, here and EarthCoin Talk

I haven't been updating the socials in the last few days due to personal reasons, but I am going to be picking it up once again.

Huge apologies to Quorum.  I mentioned to the devs that I had an idea for a marketplace, and then I was put in touch with you for an initial conversation because you had set up that marketplace at wikicompany, but I wasn't sure of the goal of putting us in touch with each other?  When I had checked up on the marketplace next, it was gone and I assumed it was to make room for Earthazaar.

Anyway, there's a new version of the Earthcoin Wallet (v1.2) up on the site, but we still need people to compile for Mac and Linux.

The main differences is that it shows up to 6 transactions on the main overview page
There's a field to display transaction messages (awesome)
Also a filter to show only values over a certain amount on transactions... I am assuming that's mostly for miners?

For everyone who has been filling out the TeamEarthcoin form, I will respond.   Again, there are a few personal issues I've had to deal with recently and I come from the community, like you, and have a full time job and non-crypto life that I have to balance (and despite that, I've put in a tremendous amount of hours into helping Earthcoin grow).

This is the next step...

I've drafted the following message that will be posted to the developers board.  Any suggestions or comments?

---------
Seeking coin, wallet, and service developers.  Bounties Available.  Escrow needed.
We at Earthcoin have been watching various alt coins make new developments over the last couple months.  There have been many contributions to cryptocurrency technology that we’ve found desirable.  However, to ensure the stability of our community and network in our early days, we wanted to wait as long as possible before doing anything that would required a hard fork.

However, now than transaction malleability vulnerabilities have reared their ugly heads and with scrypt ASICs just around the corner, it seems as though a mandatory upgrade and hard fork is inevitable in the near future.  Now we are seeking your input and your help to make Earhtcoin the most competitive alt out there.  We want to take all the latest features in the alt market and combine them into one coin.

This is what we are looking for.

Upgrading our base/wallet code to be based off of the latest upcoming bitcoin/litecoin code that incorporates the fix for transaction malleability.

ASIC resistance (Via Vert’s Scrypt Adaptive-N or scrypt-jane or whatever the community feels is most appropriate) along with corresponding mining and pool software.

Built in anonymity such ascoin mixing similar to the recently-released Fedoracoin feature or Darkcoin’s coinjoin implementation.  We eventually look forward to implementing the Zerocoin anonymity protocol.

We currently have a block target time of 1 minute and retargeting difficulty every block to make us resistant to transaction stalling from multi pool hopping.  Can anyone give us any reason why we would benefit from Kimoto’s Gravity Well implementation?

We would like to change our bonus reward days (2X and 5X days) to give blocks only when BOINC is running like Gridcoin.  We like the idea of using your extra computing power to also help scientific progress.

We would like a more custom wallet…  MUCH more custom. Not just nicely designed like Megacoin, Worldcoin, Copperlark, etc, but we would like something that can contain price/hash chart information, links to our network of websites and merchants, news feeds, and mining setups.  It does not necessarily have to be Qt based, but it must at the very least match all of the Qt wallet’s functions.  If we have a working Earthcoinj (java implementation of Earthcoin) then perhaps we can build off of that.

Currently, we support transaction messaging through the blockchain like Florincoin and we believe that our Android wallet (which is to be released soon) is one of the first if not *the* first to support this feature.  This does create an extra field in block chain transactions that programmers will have to account for.  Perhaps we can make this more useful and include metadata about transactions similar to simple.com or mint.com so types of transactions (goods, services, mining, trade, etc) can be tracked in a nice, sortable interface.

We want everything to be easy, easy, easy for the first time user.  That means we would like to have links inside the wallet pointing the user to help files on the web with audio and video that explain everything from mining to the nature of cryptocurrency itself.   That means we’d like preconfigured files for the solo miner and various pool miners, including an easy way to connect to any pools in an updated list of pools and preconfigured bat files for the CPU, AMD or Nvidia miner.

Pie in the sky idea, but if there are even developers that can help build next generation services on top of our block chain (similar to what Mastercoin has done with Bitcoin) then we are open to that as well.

Any and all ideas are on the table here.  The only limitation at this point is that we still want to be based off of the fully-tested and well understood bitcoin/litecoin base rather than something like NXT.

Please discuss the above, let us know what your wish list items are and we will bounty it.  All of the above should be done through escrow so you know we will deliver and we know you will as well.  We want nothing less than the best.
--------------

Current list of bounty-worthy items.

http://earthcoin.eu/?p=293

However, if people have great ideas that they want to bring to the table, contact someone on the team or let's start an open discussion.

Good stuff mate, website is looking very good.

The PMC faucet got donated  Smiley http://faucet.premineco.in/
Awesome! Keep on going!

But: Lower rewards and dispense every 6h...  Sad

Yes, at the moment I am putting around ~500 PMC/day into the Faucet .... it is clearly getting lots of more hits and therefore I have reduced both payout and dispense time.

We are talking about 0.5 BTC+ a day given away free. I doubt any other coin out their is doing this.
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 16, 2014, 02:18:04 PM
For those of you having issues with wallet file size. The faucet ran upto 200mb and I was having major issues. The easiest thing todo is keep using new wallet when you hit 40-50mb. That is what I am doing now.

The faucet is giving out around 400-500 PMC every day at the moment. Please support it with donations.
694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 16, 2014, 12:49:12 AM
We'll well, someone just bought it all the way to 0.006. Smiley
Edit: then some idiot goes and sticks a sell at 0.005 .........
Edit: why why oh why are you selling at 0.003 and 0.004 ..... /me goes to sleep.

I've made progress on the Android wallet.

Checkpoints have been implemented and initial syncing is quick(can't remember if I mentioned this already). Transaction comments can now be sent from the Send Coins screen so the feature is now fully implemented!

Working on displaying transaction comments in the main wallet screen now. Should have that working tomorrow along with the reskinning.

Good work, looking forward to the full release.

can anyone justify the current price? (0.00119000) why so expensive?

It is 80 RPD per block ... 55Million in total ....
If you are lucky you will get around 80 RPD/day per 1MH/sec
