681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much can we stand? on: September 21, 2012, 04:15:40 PM
Even after everything... all the scams and ponzis. The bucket-shops and "online wallets." The thefts and "hacks." The "credit-ratings" and "savings and trusts."

The hits keep on coming. And coming.

The latest? You dare ask?

New Asset idea, Cambodian rice sharecropping (4% to 6% a year) Feedback wanted!

Now, I don't know about you, but I think there comes a time when we need to stand up and say ENOUGH!

I think that time is somewhere before "Cambodian rice sharecropping," no matter who brings it to the table, even if it is "goat on a boat."

Can this community show some spine, not to mention decency, and say no to this?

Yeah, looks exactly like a FPGA single.

It's stuffed in a FPGA single box, but the back where the connectors are is drilled out as the ASIC had a slightly different form factor and it didn't quite fit.

Hopefully people can appreciate that cosmetically there wouldn't be any evidence as to how powerful it was.
He even said this is a "1.5 g/h upgrade" which looks like they are somehow getting the minis up to 1.5 g/h.

The smallest ASIC they are offering is the "jalapeno" at 3.5 g/h.

So BFL has the time & money to send employees to London to show off working prototypes but can't take some cell phone photos and post them for everyone? Maybe a video of it hashing?

What kind of crap is this?

Ask and you shall receive:
whoa whoa whoa, back the forum train up a bit here.  What the fuck are any of you in the last 1.5 pages talking about?!  There was some conference and he was there in person?  They showed up with an ASIC miner and auctioned it off?!  They just literally said 2 days ago that they aren't finished and they don't have a single working ASIC miner in their company's hands.  They assured everyone of this.  So they showed up at some alleged conference that someone posted about out on nowhere and not 1 single person took a photo? Not one single Bitcoin Talk forum member who attended this huge, elaborate, epic event owns a cell phone with a camera or thought it was worth snapping a photo?  Do you fake ass forum members posting all this pretend bullshit really believe anyone to believe it?  Mods, get out the ban hammer hard.  That or some of you better start explaining

WHAT

THE

FUCK

Are any of you talking(/lying?) about?!?!?!

Please lean in real close to your computer screen so I can SMACK THE F*CK OUT OF YOU.

Perhaps your paranoia can be assuaged ever so gently:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6fuEKqGSsQ

WATCH IT AND STFU.

Could you link to the time in the video that shows an ASIC device?  I see 0.

Listen carefully, the audio is crap, but right at the start of the video in he picks up a small cube and says (at 8 seconds) "A prototype one like this". Obviously this video wasn't made with the intention of dispelling JFK assassination level paranoia, (I didn't make it) but that is the ASIC prototype the people who were at the conference and saw it are talking about.

It looks like that box you are talking about was an FPGA single..

689  Economy / Lending / Re: The pirate speaks on: September 18, 2012, 04:09:51 AM
This SA post says everything that needs to be said about this sad situation.

The Bible posted:

If I ever meet pirate in real life, I am buying that fucker a beer. Bastard ripped off loving everybody as transparently as he possibly could (his name is pirate for Christ's sake) and has the balls to come back and threaten them with legal action.

Just awesome. They don't know it, but he is the one who best exemplifies their belief system in the Free Market.

694  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think that there is something funny about BFL's new ASIC on: September 13, 2012, 04:35:24 PM
They have deplorable customer service. It's the main reason why I may go with a totally different ASIC provider.
695  Other / Off-topic / Re: MNW Shill List on: September 13, 2012, 04:04:41 PM
No problem, as a out and open shill I trust you to point out any other shills as well.

Thank you for your trust in me as a dishonest person.  I think the most obvious shills hide in plain sight.  Because of the trust placed in me, I must say that the user "mem" has started a thread to misdirect attention away from him or herself.  This is classic shill behavior.
I loled at your sigg for like 5 mins straight.
696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone or some group is disturbed by Bitcoin. Vandalism on Wikipedia. on: September 13, 2012, 04:01:55 PM
What I would like to know is why are people allowed to revive the usernames of members who have been banned, like the name "Atlas" ?

I see the potential for not only confusion but abuse.     Huh
Atlas was let back in by the admins.

And Immanuel Go as well?     Undecided
He was only allowed to have 1 account. That was the deal..

Atlas?

Trolls like you are ruining this site.  Please take your immature antics to another forum.
...said the unicorn pony.

There should be a scammer tag for unproductive people like Rarity. They contribute no value to the community, and instead waste all of our time by polluting our forum with garbage.
699  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] should the "securities," "lending," etc. sub-fora be moved to a new site? on: September 13, 2012, 10:47:31 AM
I'd like bitcointalk.org to be in the spirit of the Internet's original ".org" -- For Non-Commercial Use Only.

But... it is hard to figure out what is Commercial Use and what isn't (e.g. some mining pools are non-profit, some for-profit, and I'm sure there are some in the fuzzy middle), which is why there really aren't any rules for .org any more.

I agree with you 1000% Gavin. This forum should be non-profit operated.

Which means you guys can set rules.

Which means obvious ponzis like the bitcoin savings and trust can be removed by the staff.

Please stop trying to troll this thread.
You're the biggest non-productive troll I have ever seen in my life.

Please begin to do something in this community, if not you're going to start catching an ignore from alot of people..
