Huh? My electric bill is only about $150 per unit. And the unit will make more then $150 per month. In fact it will probably make well more then $2,000 worth in the first few months. Its the months afterward that is the question. Basically. Will the thing break even. And with the current price no. If bitcoin was to go up in price. Even to 550 it would make a profit. (Even with the price of power). I believe the price of BTC coin will go up in price. In fact it has to or else it will die. Within the next 6 months if the difficulty keeps going the way it is but the price stays the same even ASICs wont be energy efficient enough. That means that with the price will rise or BTC will die.
Thats why I am still mining with two others. I simply cannot plug this one in to anything.
Incorrect. You are mixing BTC difficulty race with BTC utility. The race WILL die. Be it that hardware cannot cope, electricity costs too much, all bitcoins are mined... whatever. It will end. At that point the network hashrate will thrive only on fees, and difficulty will adjust (as it is intended) to make smoother transactions... a LOT faster than today. Faster transactions = more money for miners. Bitcoin will die only when people lose faith in it... and there is no reason to! All the ASIC companies out there take all the share of the profit (when they don't outright scam you AKA BFL)... unless BTC doubles its value of course. An example? $3100 for 1 THs is already out of market as it will never ROI. Current price is around half that amount. Good luck. |

Please read it again: Buyer will send bitcoins to escrow, I'll pm the buyer the walkthrough, buyer will release the bitcoins. If you think the provided method will not work you're free to claim a dispute. In this case the escrow will review the method and will decide if it's working (and will release the coins) or if it's useless (and will return the coins).
And, exactly, what is stopping escrow from stealing your method and returning me my coins. Or maybe I'm not even sending them to him. This is why everyone suggests you send the method to an hero member: you have no way out of this. |

What escrow can objetively say if a method is valid or not, if it works or not? He can send something that "can make sense", so he gets paid, and when the buyers tries it, (s)he might find out it's not anything.
It could even be based on a scam site - so even if the buyer "earns" the money, (s)he'll never receive it.
