Thats a very low fee. I did one with similar fee and it took 1 week to confirm. The transactions being cancelled and returned in 48hours... i never seen that happen. But yeah this is probably going to take a while.

I've had this happen to me once. I was sending a transaction that contained coins from unconfirmed transactions.

I used bitcoin core to 'double spend' the unconfirmed transactions, this time setting a high fee and it confirmed just normally.
682  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Unconfirmed transaction on: October 25, 2015, 12:59:03 AM
Calculating transaction size each time you want to send one can be tedious, setting fees in the wallet settings could lead you to spending more than needed.

If you're not sure about what to do, I think it's worth mentioning that there are some easy to use wallets that will automatically handle fees for you. Coinbase for example, whilst not the most "respectful" wallet when it comes to freedom, doesn't even require you to pay any transaction fees at all. The downside is that your account might get closed if you do "illegal transactions" so avoid using it if you're concerned about your privacy and your transactions are of questionable legality.

I use Mycelium wallet and set the miner fee to normal or High priority.
The transaction was from someone else. I lend some coins and expecting that I will get it sooner because I really need at the moment(that's why I lend). Now I just want to know until when do I have to wait for it to be confirmed. Will it take days or something? Sad

40 minutes to infinity, that's what the math says. Personal experience I have tells me it could take up to a few hours. If you're unlucky it'll take more. If the sender has bitcoin core installed and synced he could reverse the transaction while it's still unconfirmed. That's gonna take extra effort though. Here's a guide anyway

There's a ton of inputs in your transaction and the fee doesn't meet the current requirement for your transaction to be of high priority. If your wallet gives you an option to set fees on your own, either try setting your fees higher or adjusting them on a case by case basis.

You can use this services to see how the network handles transaction priority at the moment.

Cointape shows the fee required for a transaction to be of high priority.

684  Other / Off-topic / Re: The craziest shit you can buy with bitcoins right now? on: October 25, 2015, 12:07:50 AM
There are shops selling kratom for bitcoin. Kratom kind of a drug but is 100% herbal and legal in most of the world. Some say it's good for opiate withdrawal and helping get over addiction but in reasonable doses it gives nothing but a mild buzz, helping relax, focus and feel energized for a short period.
685  Other / Meta / Re: A solution to the self-moderated thread fiasco. on: October 24, 2015, 11:51:46 PM
I think that blocking forum features for new accounts must stop or even reversed. I understand why one day accounts should vote on polls but this is getting ridiculous.

New accounts can't post images, and now can't create self moderation threads. What is it that justifies such changes? The forum now has a lot of traffic but this just makes posting for new members very inconvenient. Let's say that someone wants to make an announcement thread, should they pay another member to post for them or buy an account?

Staff should also consider the fact that honest people create accounts, a white listing system would require too much effort though.
686  Economy / Economics / Re: Paypal Banned Greece! on: October 24, 2015, 11:41:23 PM
I just came across this article on Business Insider. Its not about Greece but about Europe and what some have planned in regards to controls on banking activities.

If you think it's just Greece that have problems then read it. Controls in several other forms are on its way for most of Europe.

http://www.businessinsider.com/banks-discussing-negative-interest-rates-for-consumers-2015-10

Well uh, Greece has capital controls paypal wasn't really prepared for that. Some paypal services aren't available to Greeks to avoid money laundering during capital controls and other services aren't accessible or are very limited due to the capital controls. There are indirect ways to fund a paypal account for Greeks, so the title is an exaggeration.
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we earn bitcoin by Torrent seeding ? on: October 24, 2015, 11:33:36 PM
I have another question, can I pay others to seed a torrent? It'd be nice to know what tool I can use to do something like this but it'd be better if there was a detailed tutorial on how to use it.

Out of all the moderators nobody seems to want to keep the exchange article safe? :p

Come on people, all this does is to turn away people from bitcoin...
689  Other / Off-topic / Re: about move to onother country how hard is it? on: October 24, 2015, 02:13:11 PM
It depends on yourself.
If you are a high wage worker i.e. engineer or doctor from the eu/ with a eu degree it is really easy to immigrate to a different nation.

/edit newbie account with sig campaign - nvm lol

I think the question is still legitimate though. Things in Greece are tough at the moment, lots of young people are having a hard time finding a job and are forced to stay with their family for financial reasons. Greece has the highest percentage of unemployed people with a higher education degree, so don't bash the dude for trying to make a buck or two... :p

Well I've been burned by steam transactions before.

Since OP is very new in this forum if I were to use his services I'd leave funds sit in escrow for at least a week after receiving the games/items for steam transactions.
692  Economy / Lending / Re: I would like to lend 0.15 BTC to trusted only on: October 23, 2015, 06:46:34 AM
Trusted members already have the option to receive loans with significantly more competitive interest. If OP wanted to earn such amounts from loaning he'd have to take bigger risks, perhaps risk his capita. Doesn't sound that convinient does it? Maybe you try gambling OP, you're the one setting the odds there.

Cha ching.  Shocked Shocked Shocked

By the way, nice username. Tongue

Man, Quickseller... This post is now outdated and you keep using it as a platform to bash Vod with baseless claims. And now you're attacking dooglus too? Your actions keep making less sense over time, take a break from forum warfare maybe? Maybe even go back to farming your alts.

697  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why are there so many conspiracy theorists here? on: October 19, 2015, 06:35:42 PM
Good question! Must be because those people like to troll bitcoiners, everything even slightly against bitcoin or bitcoin users and they'll cheer in the huge circlejerk of shills that they form.

I won 10 euros on a 1€ one. It was pretty funny to get envious looks from the guys that were stuck gambling there all day while all I did was spend 1 euro to get 10. I never gamble irl though, scratchcards just can't beat the odds of bitcoin dice.

anyone remember MPOEPR?

An old member? A she?   Grin

Yes it was a she.

A friend(?) of Mircea Popescu, used to lurk the forum here and post basing asset exchanges and various other services for not being secure while advertising bitcoin-assets a.k.a. MPEX.co

I think she was banned from a mod out of spite and never returned. Here's the profile.
