I guess it's dependent; by the current market, 0.01xmg by 1k magi staking values trivial, but would be not that low when magi is valued as much as btc, though the latter situation is very much no more than an imagination for now; imo it'll depend on how we keep the way going then and the overall view.

well yes, its always depends on how we keep the way going then and the overall view, you are in truth, you know all of us really want to see a great future on this coin, i only suggested that, but i understand your point of view.

It's time to buy  Smiley Cheesy Grin

jaja, yes man, and who know, maybe the price is a little bit low for just few days Wink

i cant understand how they can associate it with a given address, maybe all his plans is to start to scared people about it?

Obviously they will never sayd how they work on it, but hell i think this is not possible.
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | POS | Assets | Names | Polls | Automated Transactions | Social Network on: August 12, 2015, 03:09:00 PM
first at all, ty for your reply Smiley i have a question for you, imagine that a bought 10M of qora, and i hit a block, how many qora will i get? is there a graphic or something like that where i can see how many qora i will get by forging a block?

It doesn't really work that way.  Every transaction costs 1 Qora to execute.  If you forge a block, you get all transactions.  Most blocks do not contain transaction fees, so even if you hit one, there is no guarantee that you will garner any fees.

I think with one of the more recent updates, there was an integration of a special account that people could donate too.  So long as there are funds in that account, each forger can take 50 Qora from the account.  I'm not entirely sure how this works, since this change was made after I did my initial research on the Qora forging algorithm.  I know CIYAM knows a bit more about it than I do and I think he helped set it up.

TL;DR: If there are funds in the donation account for forgers, you will at least get 50 Qora for every block +1 Qora for each included TX.   If there are no donation fees, you only get the TX fees.

i see well thank you for clarify me all those questions, i really apreciate that. Now i know more about qora Smiley

well i must say hello to the qora community since i am involved now on it Smiley

i have just one question from now, ATM, how many decent amount of coins do you think you need if you want to see that you forged one block?
Even if you hold 1B Qora (10%) you will never hold enough for revenue from forging to be profitable.  The fees just aren't high enough.  However, if you want to benefit the network and hit a block "every now and then" then I'd say you could get away with as little as 10M Qora.  With a balance that low, you might hit a block once every day or so.  On a good day you could get 3-4.  It's rather random and a bit contingent on whose forging at the moment.  Since most of the exchanges leave their wallets on, it's a near guarantee that at least 1B will be forging at all time.

However, if Polo needs to restart a server and it takes them many hours to do it, forging power might be cut in half so smaller balances are much more likely to hit blocks.

Happy Burstday Wink

awesome job man, im really impressed about it, this is exactly hat burst need, just TY! keep up the good job!

i think @crowetic is going to bring us some good news soon too, i mean about new tools that burst need, all in one and thigns like that.

By the way,

guys, why not mine at Dev's poll for awhile to show some appreciation of the anniversary...? With the innovation and hours he put into this, he certainly deserves it. Even if we look forward to a new update, pretty much all of us made pretty good returns from Burst the last year.

Especially now when most other guys involved (despite luxe and deWallet) seems more interested to put hours into making their own Bursts. Most of them have their own side-projects they seem to care more for than for Burst. I can be wrong ofc, but will burstcoin.de be just another next example of the Burst greed among devs...?

Give a shout out for BurstDev and mine a week or two on his pool - the guy is a genius and I'd never consider mining somewhere else.

devs pool is one of the bets pools out of there, at least from my point of view ( ofc is not the only one good pol out there ), and very very stable, if there is someone who didnt try it yet, he should.

pd: even if im a little bit later, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BURST!!

wow i can see here lot of good options in the last day, thats cool Smiley

for me there is only one big problem that i already talk about, the buldozers, i hope you guys find a way to at least, minimize that.

on the other hands, i would like to see a % increased on the pos rewards, for me to have more than 1k of magi and get a reward of 0.01xmg from stake is so low, but i will understand if you dont want to change it, i mean increased it.
689  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Localbitcoins: Goodbye, New York on: August 12, 2015, 11:26:29 AM
i cant remember but there was another post about it i mean about some exchanges that move away from NY.

obviously from my point of view they are doing what i would do if i was them, NY laws havent sense if you are running an exchange, at least for me.

Bitlicense is just like a pain in the a*s, in the otehr side i was expecting to see things like that...

Are you trying to stop an action, or a state of mind?

i really want that this dont happend anymore, i mean to see how those buldozers fu*k others, btw im pretty sure that if you say that yescrypt is a good option, then this is because yescrypt is really a good option Smiley

all things that can improve magi will be always welcome from me.

You don't need to clone the algo - as a matter of fact, take the opportunity to tune the parameters of the KDF to your liking. While GPU miners for it are obviously possible (as for M7M), the gap in between CPU and GPU is at least currently barely existing - factoring in power makes it look even better to mine on CPU. This is about as close as you'll ever get to your stated goal - i.e. GPU mining impossible.

this makes sense for me, but what about all those buldozers that will mine it only to fu*k the block rewards, this will really solve it? i mean even if is more profitable with CPU after the algo change, they will loose hash power?
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I mined a Bitcoin in Minecraft on: August 11, 2015, 10:46:05 AM
lol really? you can mine bitcoin with minecraft? i didnt know it.

i know there is some altcoins that allow you to gain coins while playing games, but this is an external service, but playing minecraft to earn bitcoins, just lol.
696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I doubled my bitcoin in last 3 months. How do you make money(bitcoin) online? on: August 10, 2015, 10:59:26 AM
Cmon guys you are all so distrustful, yes? just dont ask and  give him all your money,  he will double it in few hours/days, why you dont beleive him?

/sarcasm off

I think his objetive is done, just attract your attention and his site will not be different from all those sites that can "double" your money...

good luck with that!

hard decision that people should think calmly and im talking about if we really need to change the algo or not, lets give us some time to think about it.

btw, @joelao95 ty for all of your other replys Smiley

699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XMG] Coin Magi | CPU mining | PoS-II | PoM | Unique BLK reward | [MagiPay] on: August 09, 2015, 11:27:34 AM
magic and I had a talk over IRC, a brief list:

* wallet issues as he received from few people
* concerns about PoS
* Many people lend help to magi -- thank you
* PoM-II / PoI -- will complete PoM payout and end this campaign soon
* Launching PoM/PoI as well in the future
* New code base, features and misc; all point to a thing, making magi to be something useful.
** The major / biggest concern is the big miners, while this is a dilemma, and certainly this is the top one in the list to be looked into and solved/improve in a timely fashion.

Almost mentioned all above, not a NEXT plan list though but concerns mostly; let this community know if you come across any interesting or concerns to you.

thats pretty awesome, i was inactive at the irc when you have the meeting Sad but magic told me what you talk about, and im really think that some of these new features are simply needed and awesome.

The major / biggest concern is the big miners

yes this is a big problem but im sure you will find a solution Wink

btw i didnt know if you guys already talk about it or not, but i was thinking on a new console command like other coins already have and is very usefull, i mean something like this:

Quote
setstakesplitthreshold 4000, then that would mean your wallet won't split the blocks if it results in each block being less than 4k XMG. So in the example above, it would have produce one block of 6k and not split them. If you set the threshold to 2000, then it would have split them.
700  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: August 09, 2015, 11:17:02 AM
its always depends, if someone can affort it, i mean to quit his job because he win enought bitcoins to maintain his life then all is ok.

on the other side there is lot of ppl without any job that just join into the bitcoin world to win everything they can win, but if there is someone who can win enought to live only with bitcoins, then he/she is my hero Tongue
