682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Help] To know everything about ethereum on: March 06, 2017, 07:19:10 AM
Hello guyz ..

Actually the thing is, i've bought ethereum from the pre-sale. I've then written down the password on a sheet of paper. Though i know its for technical people who have enough knowledge about its programming, i bought  about 2,000 ethereum, due to its volatile nature, so i can earn some profit with its trading. I've also downloaded its .json file. I got to know that i cannot trade the ethereum then, so i kept it aside. I found that there is some 'Genesis Block' (which i don't know), and i can trade ether only when it launches.

I've lost the sheet of paper since then. Yesterday, suddenly i've found that. Now, i've its password and wallet file.

But what i don't have is technical knowledge. I've searched on google and everywhere on how to set up ethereum wallet on pc and how to import the .json file to wallet. But failed to understand its technical terms.

I got to know that i need to download either geth client or eth client, while eth client requires C++ knowledge which i don't understand.

Can anyone tell me how to setup ethereum wallet and how can i import the .json file to the wallet? And what is this genesis block, what is its use?

Please provide me with the official and latest link to download the wallet.

Kind Regards,
Escrow-Girl
Well why don't use https://jaxx.io for saving ETH I have use it for long time ago, it is simple, safe to put your ETH than use pc wallet and it is save your time too, but if you want get more informations about ETH you can check on announcement thread of ETH visit this link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=428589.new;topicseen#new
You can ask about ETH on there, the comunity of ETH will answer your question on there, good luck.
683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which all alltcoins you know .. on: March 06, 2017, 06:21:15 AM
I would like to know which all altcoins you all are aware of and out of those which of them do you will invest
Altcoins I know :
Monero - I will invest as it is profitable for me
Dash - I may invest
Zcash - Not for now
Dogecoin - Very less returns
Litecoin - More like dead coin to me
Byteball - Will not invest
Eth- Will invest soon
Ripple - No as it is good for businesses and not for investors.
I have made investments into ETH couples month ago little by little sice ETH's price under $10,
it is long term investments the reason why I have made investments into ETH
only this coin that has many innovations, many projects be builded on ethereum network,
ETH has big marketcap be compared with other altcoins, I make investments on other altcoins
are like litecoin, dashcoin, monero, for short term strategy (trading altcoins in exchangers).
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash = Gambling ?? on: March 06, 2017, 05:50:23 AM
Recently many of you may have clearly noticed the big changes in price of dash it increased then decreased. I think the simple reason for this is a huge investors simply gambling with the coin by first investing some millions and then selling it and then again buying.
What do you guys think of my theory?
Would be a part of this gamble?

if the method is used, meaning it's not gambling, as investors played as an investment currency, in buying when prices are cheap and sell when the price is expensive, almost like buying and selling stocks.
Yes, also the investors use analysis technical and fundamental before buy dash coin, they are traders and investors will not put the money without analysis, they doing trading on the dash coin they are not gambling in altcoins, some time if they have got profit they will sell the coin or they will sell couples coins for return of investments and hold the other dash coin depend on their strategy investments long term or short term strategy.

I have found interested article about the gambling future on blockchain of ethereum and vdice.io explaining everything about it, that is good for knowledge about new innovations in gambling game, for the detail we can see on this link https://techannouncer.com/interview-vdice-ethereum-blockchain-gambling-future-gambling/
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Is not Worth More than 5$-10$ on: March 05, 2017, 08:15:00 AM
Denial is a river in egypt

http://coinmarketcap.com/

It's about $18.8 right now
Yes I agree with you, the fact ethereum's price is around $18,
we can see the data on the markets and exchangers about the altcoins price
so do with ethereum, it is not about worth or not ethereum's price more than $5-$10,
it is about the fact like or dislike ethereum's price more than $10.
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is the best new coin recently ? on: March 05, 2017, 04:58:09 AM
I   joined  wetrust.
Dont know how many good new coins will  come out this year.
If you have some good suggestions ,please post it  here.
Well investments on new coins are high risk losing money because they can become scam coins,
except if you have calculated about risk losing money.
I think investments on old altcoins are good than investing on new coins, although on old altcoins
the profit is not too high but there is chance for getting constant profit than getting scam.
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★★ Top 5 Best Cryptocurrencies & Alt-coins Investment for 2017 ★★★★ on: March 05, 2017, 04:26:02 AM
In my opinions the 5 best crypto currencies and alt coins investments for 2017
1. Bitcoin, it is the king of digital coins and every people know about bitcoin.
2. ETH, it has large numbers of projects and many corporations adopt blockchain ETH
3. Dash, the price is increasing and it will be more going up.
4. LTC, the old coin could be survive for long time ago.
5. XMR, it has large fluctuation of price,it is good for short time investments.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to create a "successful" ICO? on: March 05, 2017, 04:10:37 AM
We all know 99% of ICOs end up to be garbage - only a few coins tend to live long enough to be considered 'worthwhile' (maintaining or rising above the ICO price).

What does the community think keeps these coins alive, instead of the usual result of those buying into the ICO dumping upon launch?
I think not, ICO are like new way to scam the people and there are not the rules manage about the ICO, should there are something escrow between the investors and the developers of coins, the escrow must control amount of ICO, investors who make investments on ICO and the escrow must control about the progress the projects, it will protect the investors from scamers of ICO.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can ETH be an attractive long term investment? on: March 05, 2017, 03:08:08 AM
How exactly is ETH being stagnant ? It's the fastest developing project out there. Only a fool would think otherwise. And, if eth killed itself with a hardfork, then wait for it because 2-3 more hardforks will follow in the future. Which means it will kill itself atleast 2-3 times more. Idiots.
Yes many projects be builded on ethereum network, and always there are projects be builded on ethereum network, that is mean ethereum be updated by developers, investors and comunity, also hard fork are not kill itself but it is fixing the bugs on ethereum blockchain.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC overtake gold this month ? on: March 04, 2017, 03:07:45 PM
As of Feb 23, 2017

BTC: 1139$
XAU: 1242$

Bitcoin has been on a roll lately and is 9% away from overtaking gold.

Will February 2017 be remembered as the "golden" month for BTC ?
Will it happen in March ?

What do you think ?

Exciting times !
No, I think not for this month (march) the golden month for bitcoin will happens on the next halping block of bitcoin in 2020, because in that month bitcoin is disappear halp and as we know bitcoin is starting popular on every countries and strart many people who use bitcoin, it will make amount of demand increasing and will make bitcoin's price increasing too more than today.

It already has/
Haven't you heard?
Yes you are right for now but are you sure it will taking long time? I don't think about bitcoin in one month (march) but I think about the future of bitcoin be compared with gold, I have said bitcoin is not too famous be compared with gold, many people know about the gold but not all of people know about bitcoin, although personaly bitcoin can become new gold but it will not happening right now.
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: March 04, 2017, 10:50:58 AM
Affiliate program?
Well there is no affiliate program on vdice.io ,because we don't needs account on vdice.io if we want play gambling dice on there at least for today, but maybe there is innovations from developers of vdice.io about affiliate program on vdice.io let's wait and see updating from developers. Thanks
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will segwit be activated? on: March 04, 2017, 04:09:25 AM
Bitcoin Unlimited is losing support rather quickly, albeit no one is entirely sure why this is the case. A few weeks ago, Bitcoin Unlimited support was on par to surpass SegWit numbers, yet that trend did not materialize in the end. In fact, the support has dropped from nearly 23% to 16.7%, indicating miners are slowly backing off from pools supporting Unlimited.
694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin seems to be still the best pick on: March 03, 2017, 04:28:28 AM
I was thinking about buying other coins to profit and make more BTC too as BTC grows, but I don't see a clear pick to risk my bitcoins at...

Maybe I should have bought ETH and DASH but what did I knew? Even this ZCASH crap pumped to like 30%, but how can you even foresee that?

I guess ETH is a good pick because ETH keeps getting shilled by microsoft and all those big companies but ultimately that means nothing...

I don't know what to do. I want more BTC, but I see no clear investments... fuuuck Sad(
Well everything depend on your strategy investments and depend on your analysis into digital coins,
which are the coins will be choosen? However investing into bitcoin, ETH, dash coin or other coins
are high risk except getting profit it can make losing money too, so make sure losing money in
digital coins has been calculated before make investments into them.

696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: @ZCashReview: New Podcast on Zcash and the future of economic privacy! on: March 01, 2017, 03:22:05 PM
Hi folks, I'm posting this on behalf of @ZCashReview and @coin_artist (she of Twitter-based fame due to cryptography puzzles with Bitcoin prizes).

I'm pleased to introduce ZCash Review, a regular new podcast sponsored by Decred and GPU Source, discussing all things related to the #Zcash project and the future of economic privacy.

The first episode covers the history of Zcash and features Dr. Matthew Green, professor of cryptography at Johns Hopkins and host of blog.cryptographyengineering.com.

Check it out on SoundCloud at soundcloud.com/zcashreview!

I have  followed zcashreview on tweeter, I will start see it and
why you don't make zcashreview on YouTube than soundcloud
due to YouTube is more popular than soundcloud,
and many people has account on there than on soundcloud,
or you make channels about the zcashreview on YouTube.
697  Economy / Services / Re: Tired of mining bitcoin- try growing marijuana fr bitcoin on: March 01, 2017, 06:34:14 AM
To risk for marijuana, in indonesia marijuana ilegal but in sumatera island marijuana thrives and even the seeds are used as a spice in cooking.
I think op is not from Indonesia, he said has licency I think on his country marijuana is not illegal,
if he is true it is not risk about the law because the investors will be paid with bitcoin,
but the risk does is he true farm marijuana? Must there are people can be trusted to see the farming
of marijuana, if there are people want make investments but I am doubt there are.  Grin

699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Zcash worth to invest in it? on: March 01, 2017, 04:57:12 AM
Since Zcash launch, prices have been around the $1000+ mark, however after a few days the price has gone down, and I think that it will continue to do so for the following days until it reaches the total supply of 21 million coins.

In my own opinion, Zcash has been overvalued, (considering that there have been privacy oriented altcoins before like Monero) and the fact that Zcash does not enforce anonymity by default (unlike Monero), it makes me wonder whenever Zcash would be a good investment or not.

If there is one thing that I don't like about Zcash, is the fact that it is behind a company, as well as having a sort of premine called Founder's reward, which seems kind of fishy to me.

Please let me know what do you think about this.  Smiley
Well depend on your strategy investing on zcash, if you want make investments into zcash for short time,
I think it is good because the price is fluctuation but if you want make investments for long time,
why you don't choose bitcoin or ethereum that has big marketcap, updating from developers and comunity of coins.
