I hope they don't intend to use their funds to cover bitfunder debts and plan to make some kind of bond with ukyo.

A few mil is a small price to pay for such a high profile BTC bailout, also putting an end to likely litigation.  Profit.  Everyone wins.

Except for anyone that paid 0.003.

We have 4 company websites that will all be online prior to any marketing to the public.

What about financial report Danny? When? Smiley  I would like to know how much BTC is left in "NEOBEE wallet" from IPVO after investments and salaries in past months, also could this wallet be known for shareholders/public? And how much profit NEO made from clients deposits in recent rate spike could be also useful info too.

Ask for something easy, like more forum "updates". Don't ask for stuff that will never happen.

Operations start next year right? I would be more worried about having my BTC tied up in NEOBEE until then.
Why worry?
The share price is holding up well against a burgeoning BTC and OK you could do some trades and hope the BTC price tanks and buy back into NEOBEE later but really?  This is an operation with fantastic potential, Danny is proving himself to have both the talk AND the walk (aka actually doing some work as opposed to most of the BTC start up CEOs).
A BTC bank is going to be a game changer

This gamechanger was not listed on MPEx. The fate of "gamechangers" that fail to manage an MPEx listing is...well...how's the Asicminer gamechanger? From 3 all the way to .3? Not to go into the detail of all the 100 or so other "alternatives".

683  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: November 27, 2013, 11:23:33 AM
I can also verify the beta site's existence.

No one has to use anything, but if neo are part of it then it has full oversight and support rather than being a one man band. We can all see how that turns out these days, not just with WeEx.

Characteristically, you have this exactly backwards. The merger of desperation, even should it be successful, is still capped at much less than the pretense was back when bitfunder was still pretending to be an exchange.
684  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitBet Scammed me for 10 BTC (properly formatted) on: November 27, 2013, 10:29:36 AM
This is my shilling. There are many like it, but this is my own.

My shilling is my only hope. It is my life. I must master it as I must master jacking off.

My shitty websites, without me, are useless. Without my shitty websites, I have no excuse.

I must herp about my sites derpily. I must derp more than the other muppets on the forum, out to outherp me. I will.

My web empire and me, WE know that what counts on this internet is not the sense we make, the value of our products or the competence and ability we bring to the table. We know that it is the shady shilling that counts. We will shill, shadily.

The crappy scripts I copied off some obscure forum are mine now. I have made them so, by not understanding what they do for a long long time. They are me, because so is everything else I do that nobody ever understands. I treat them like brothers.

I ignore their weaknesses, and so they ignore mine. I think they work fine. They think I work fine. I think they're the best thing that ever happened on the web. They think I'm the best thing that ever happened in the world. We love each other. This is the true meaning of We, for we have become part of each other. Together, we have become nothing. Nothing at all.

My sites and I are the defenders of stupidity on the Internet. My domains are not worthless. I make money while I sleep. Before Quux I swear this creed. We are the masters of the derp. We are the saviours of everything not worth fighting for. We do.

So be it, until bankruptcy finally sinks America and there is no money left for idiots and clueless noobs to throw around.

FTFY, derpy. Who knows, maybe you're part of Internet lore now, you and your shitty Bitcoin Sports Betting play-or-invest crap. Good luck.
685  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: November 27, 2013, 10:23:13 AM
Hello everyone,

I know everyone here is waiting for "the big announcement".

I have been brought in by Jon (Ukyo) to help with the situation. For those who do not know me, I am Danny Brewster of Neo & Bee (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=289730.0;topicseen) Neo & Bee has agreed to take an active role in ensuring this situation gets resolved.

I have a full understanding of the situation and have agreed to work with Jon to help sort out the problem in the best and quickest manner possible. At this point in time it is no longer possible to be immediately able to pay out all users. Jon has been working to ensure that a process is in place to remedy this situation and to ensure that all users get the bitcoins owed to them. This is the unfortunate reality of the situation. The biggest question is going to be “why or how has this happened?” I will be providing the answer in full, however right now it is impossible for what I would describe as legal reasons, but the answers are coming, that I promise, but cannot give an exact time as to when this information can be made public.

To this end, we would like to ask that everyone continues to be patient while the final preparations are put in place that will allow for users to enable recovery of their funds, the holidays in the United States are not helping with this specific matter in the slightest.

Everyone at Neo & Bee are now involved in this resolution process.

Unlike other situations where an inability to payout bitcoins to users has occurred, Jon has been fully committed to ensuring that payouts will happen. He has not gone into hiding and continues to try to make himself available to people on IRC on a fairly consistent basis. You have trusted Jon with your bitcoins and as of right now, you are being told that there is no immediate solution. At this point, Jon has two options: first he can continue to work with the community to ensure that the issue is resolved properly, or he can throw his hands up and simply say "sorry, there’s nothing I can do". I prefer option one as I think many of you will as well, so that is why I am throwing myself and my team behind this effort to ensure solutions are implemented and successful.

I know both myself and Jon would like to be able to post everything out in the open to give a full explanation about everything that has brought everyone into this position and what is currently going on to resolve this issue. I understand that this is not the optimal solution for any one person, however we believe that it is the best solution for everyone.

You can have my word that everything conceivably possible, to resolve these problems are being done to the best of our abilities.

I would like to thank you for your understanding and cooperation so far and we look forward to having this situation resolved as soon as possible.

Oh your word? Why tyvm, I will put it right in the box where I keep Sony Vleisides' word that he'll explain everything next week back two years ago.

Here's YET ANOTHER reminder to only do business with entities that are actually vetted by the people who know what they're doing, rather than with non-entities that acquired a forum handle. Herp.

Looks like you still don't know how to read. It won't get better 'til you figure this out, you know. No matter where you are, or what you use.
689  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 10 BTC investment makes $2000 per month? ASIC Cloud Mining Discussion on: November 26, 2013, 09:43:45 PM
Hey guys

So I did some calculations with this mining calculator: http://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator

And it looks like a 10 BTC investment (cloud mining with 100 GH/s) makes over $2000 USD per month at current difficulty, and should make over $1770 per month at the next difficulty adjustment.

CEX.IO make this incredibly easily and achievable for anyone.

Is it really this easy? Am I missing something?

If you weren't aware of this, feel free to join with my link below and return the favour for letting you know Wink

Gross. Take this stuff to reddit or whatever marketing swamp.
690  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you think Coinbase wallet is safe? on: November 26, 2013, 09:07:49 PM
Thanks for all the input guys. I know (we all know) nothing is 100% safe. I just wanted to get a sense of what everyone thought about Coinbase's wallet. I like the convenience of their service. I like that they keep 90% of their btc in cold storage. I would feel even better if they guaranteed our btc. Say they got hacked, it would only be a fraction of their/our holdings and they could keep a reserve to refund any loss.

If you're earnestly researching the viability of a given service, read up on the history of its reception by authoritative parties. Then read the body of material available on the service, on this forum and off of it. Following these steps would leave you without doubt. Listening to a few people hmm and haww over philosophical concepts approached for the first time may be fun but has little to do with your stated goal.
691  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: mcxNOW - Scam or not? on: November 26, 2013, 09:02:50 PM
its a scam now but for a different reason

This isn't "a scam now", this is the perpetual theatre of scammy fucks coming back to bank off of lazy idiots who meanwhile disregard the rather plain and abundant warnings.

693  Economy / Securities / Re: [TRIANGLE ARBITRAGE FUND] - managed by bitcoinsreserve.com | USD -> BTC -> CNY on: November 26, 2013, 05:24:31 PM
Having done limited arbitrage into MtGox, and more recently into a number of Chinese exchanges, we have solid experience required to capitalise on Arbitrage opportunities between exchanges.

Solid experience is not comprised of sentences which state that you have solid experience. Any kind of useful value for "we" is not built upon scribbling it meaninglessly some arbitrary number of times.

See here.
694  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin-Central, first exchange licensed to operate with a bank. This is HUGE on: November 26, 2013, 04:51:36 PM
What the hell is this crazy stuff:

This is your clue that while you're mindlessly ranting and failing to understand bitcoin itself and your role within it, others are doing just fine. Without your "help".

I am going to be keeping my eye on this.

You're going to monitor that which you fail to understand. For what purpose, future derping? Here's a few hints: understand first, monitor afterward, and in no case pretend that your shortcomings are some standard to which others must hold.
695  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My experience with Avalon Asic #2 launch on: November 26, 2013, 04:23:13 PM
Well that was brutal to say the least! I can't post in the ASIC thread due to newbie restrictions, but, considering the amount of money people were putting into this, you'd think any rational person (hell I didn't sleep last night) would just stay up and make sure things went smoothly, I mean 900 grand is no small sum of money. Anyways, launch was supposed to be 9:00 am EST, the "Yes I understand the fine print" button finally linked up to the store.avalon-asics url at 9:30.

And to everyones chagrin it was nearly impossible to add the items to your cart, session info was all messed up, people were seeing other people's shipping details. WalletBit was immediately AFK, and was failing hard on converting the posted price data to bitcoin... pricing the machines at 0.05 bitcoin each.

Finally, some intellectual realized that the Avalon guys were hosting the ecommerce across multiple domains (the pagoda base) which was merking all likelihood of cookies/sessions working out, so the trick was to go to the Pagoda URL, add to your cart, and then instead of clicking check out, manually entering the ?page_id=17 to the pagoda URL, at which point, with a little luck, everything worked out and WalletBit quoted the correct price.

Good luck to all, I don't begrudge these young men for this rough launch, and I can't imagine what is going on in the minds of those two fellows at this moment, but either way it's clear they are not web developers. Which is fine, so long as they deliver, or I at least get an email receipt for the 75.63785 + 0.05 bitcoins I just sent them.

Saving this.
696  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitBet Scammed me for 10 BTC (properly formatted) on: November 26, 2013, 02:55:42 PM
With any MP backed venture, you can expect to get exactly what they say you will get, no more, no less. While the outcome is arguably unfair, it is exactly what you would expect them do.

Quoth MP "Whoa, they got my number! Unreal."

Well, the way the US is run these days, maybe it'll come busting down your door. Even odds.

such a small amount of money

Funny you should say that.

Exactly. It's here.

You are very much confused as to what "whole communities" means. Hint: it's not you. It's not the other idiot and his coupla socks.

Did you write that? `the point of the sword of some blind demigoddess are a thoroughly fascinating turn of events` lmao.
It sounds like it was written by a machine trying to imitate human writing. The prose is awful and has no relevance to the discussion here. Nobody is signing any contract when they use bitbet. You seem to have this misdirected sense of entitlement and perverse belief that a FAQ constitutes a legally binding agreement between parties. You`re objectively wrong regardless of all these inane, meandering articles you keep referencing to.

As your literacy blossoms you may come to discover that generally when you don't understand a text it's not really the author's fault.

These aren't being handled by Ms. Helen Waite anymore?

I heard if you wanted a refund you should go to Helen Waite.

Page three stuff? This thread is becoming a sort of lulz Mecca is it.
700  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitBet Stole ~$7,000 from me (10 BTC) on: November 25, 2013, 07:53:28 PM
Do you expect me to just accept the situation and to be quiet?

The expectation is that you learn from your mistakes. Other than that, you can be as loud as you wish, tho it does cross into ridiculous after a while.

I'm defending my money like you would do.

The idea is to defend afore rather than after. In the better words of our esteemed leader,

Quote
All this aside, non-enforced contracts, contracts which the participants uphold out of their own free will rather than at the behest of some third party or by the point of the sword of some blind demigoddess are a thoroughly fascinating turn of events. For one, they are fundamentally human, they’re one step up on the stairwell of freedom. Do it if you think it’s right is certainly a lot more empowering, civilised and overall good than “do it or else”. For the other, they allow all the enforcing to happen before the actual contract is entered into. Old contracts contain unknown future costs, nobody can ever tell you exactly how much will you have to pay in legal fees to recoup this five hundred owed on whatever deal. GPG Contracts don’t have any future costs at all. The cost of enforcing one after the fact is always going to be zero, pretty much because there’s never going to be anything you need (or indeed can) do.
