681  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC To 100K$ by 2025 on: October 12, 2019, 11:58:53 PM
I can't really say about 100k, if Bitcoin goes up 20k I will be very happy and sell out already.   The markets seem very quiet and the prices forever flat nowadays.
A stock market analyst told me that the stock market with almost over 70 trillion dollars cap may crash soon. If that analysis becomes true then we will see some capital flowing to gold and most probably Bitcoin. One can argue that If just about 10 percent of speculative capital invested in stocks comes to bitcoin then $100,000 is a very realistic target.

I've been in this space long enough to understand you, in 2015 the idea of bitcoin being 20,000 dollars was absolute lunacy. They would tell you that you are retarded to think bitcoin will ever go that high. Now they are claiming bitcoin will go up to $1 million and they still hold what they had.
682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Community With No Libra, Bakkt, ETFs and Institutions on: October 12, 2019, 11:23:32 PM
I get mixed feelings about it. I'm not a fan of Libra, however I do think it will help mass adoption of Crypto Currencies in a whole, and help drive up the price of bitcoin. the biggest problem with the Crypto space is the on-boarding process. Its very hard for someone new to get into Crypto, that is what is holding back mass adoption. If Facebook can make this easier, they can bring millions of new users into the space. When they have their Libra tokens which is basically a stable coins, and then they look at BTC increasing in value, they will definitely sell Libra for BTC.

Libra uses a few nice qualities of Crypto to solve some long-standing problems in Swift and credit-card push-transactions, but otherwise does nothing revolutionary, and sooner or later people realize that Bitcoin is unstoppable, then BTC becomes a price stability coin at market what the Libra wants to offer people. Personally, i would like Libra to start up but then fails, because after that, the real value of Bitcoin and the blockchain will became known.
683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now the time to buy ALTs? on: October 12, 2019, 08:28:06 PM
I think this bear market is a perfect moment to invest into the Altcoins. They have suffered of big dumps and during the next bull run they may skyrocket. In particular the latest altcoins that have been added or are going to be added on Coinbase. Among those Altcoins I think the one with the greatest potential is BAT which make a great use of the social media and social contents.

Another altcoin I really think has a great potential and i just recently believed in it, is Tron. If we look at the number of active DAPPs is now the first network, has overcome EOS and ETH. In fact, there are also many interesting new projects which use the TRX platform (EVEN similar approach to BAT).
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts you won't invest in on: October 12, 2019, 08:15:51 PM
Litecoin is one of them. The devs or users can lie and say LTC is just fine the way it is, when in reality it isn't. It only seems fine at the moment because it's hardly used compared to BTC, but how can it really grow when it faces the same exact problems as BTC does right now? Based on past performance, I expect the "Litecoin Foundation", to do absolutely nothing.

Litecoin like most other Altcoins have no real adoption, and after leaked chat between Franklyn and Charlie Lee about lack of development and no transparency there is no bright future for this currency. What's really sad is we've seen a coin can have a critical screw up, hard fork, and still become the number 2 coin (Ethereum). But let's just keep doing nothing for LTC. the only who think this is fine right now are those who already made bank either on LTC or some other coin, and don't really care where it goes.
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in multiple altcoins on: October 12, 2019, 07:50:35 PM
Put more on Stellar lumens. it's one of my favorites coins. Like Ethereum, XLM's blockchain is its major selling point. With the integration of smart contract protocols, Stellar is in high demand not only by financial service companies but also by big corporations. After partnering with IBM and KlickEx, it has been scaling it's blockchain to new regions. Many banks have deployed Stellar's blockchain technology to handle the multiple currency payments received from IBM's customers.
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my house for buying altcoins need your help on: October 12, 2019, 07:28:23 PM
It depends on yourself but i’m personally a fan of privacy coins, I’m sick of the government creeping in, monitoring everything and wanting their cut of money they have no right to take. because of this I primarily transact in privacy coins, using this to handle my debts, pay my mortgage and purchase most of my daily expenses. i was previously a fan of Zcash, but have since switched to Veil since the privacy features are far more robust, plus the staking rewards are more lucrative than most PoS Cryptos out there. I suggest filling your basket with some VEILs
687  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top bitcoin trading strategies on: October 12, 2019, 06:52:00 PM
HODLing is the only strategy that works. Many HODLers here strongly feel that bitcoin is going to be the only money left standing one day. As it grows it will eat fiat currencies one by one until there are none left and all economies will be based on bitcoin on that day, probably 20 years away from now. If you also think there is a chance of that happening, or otherwise a chance of bitcoin existing as everyone's savings account, then the smart thing to do would to completely stop all thought of "taking profits" because those profits are in fiat, an inferior money.

Maybe you'd like to spend some of your gains, however, and I do the same to pay my bills as I no longer earn a fiat income. so my advice to you would be to simply HODL as much as possible, and if you have to, convert a little to fiat to pay for what you need.
688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best country for crypto on: October 12, 2019, 06:32:16 PM
Too many to mention.

Malta, Japan, Singapore these are the very few of them.
When assessing best countries for a cryptocurrencies business, it might also be worth to consider the banking industry's attitude towards them and consider twice the cost of living. if you're a startup this makes a huge difference, and unfortunately this is a barrier to entry in some countries like Singapore and Switzerland as it's very expensive to live here.

I think Germany is one of the most liberal and open minded countries, i have ever had the pleasure to visit. however, don’t underestimate the power of the tax man. It’s devilishly easy to trace transactions on the chain and until we have reliable privacy safeguards it remains easy for government to trace transactions.

Malta is the best, they don’t even tax Crypto-capital gains.
689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Im looking for wallet safe and Popular on: October 12, 2019, 05:48:46 PM
If you have more than $1,000 of tokens, buy a hard wallet such as the Nano Ledger or Trezor. If you have less, then I'd suggest www.myetherwallet.com or www.mycrypto.com for Ethereum-based tokens. i have personally used TrueUSD in my Nano S with good success. The swapping between Cryptocurrencies happens in Binance for me. Binance took 5 minutes to withdraw "into" my Nano S. The sending for cashout from the Nano S to USD uses MyEtherWallet (MEW) and took just one day to appear in my bank account.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, do you guys think cryptocurrencies will be gone anytime soon? on: October 12, 2019, 05:26:45 PM
If talking about the overall Crypto market, i agree that most Cryptocurrencies will fail. However, the overall Crypto market will succeed because, among many other reasons, an overwhelming number of very rich and influential people want it to. it's important to understand that it's possible "Bitcoin" or "Ethereum" could fail, while Crypto currency succeeds. Bitcoin is just a name of a project, and that project could fail in any number of ways. A contentious fork could divide the community in such a way that the bitcoin name is left behind. I should say that i doubt it, but it's possible.

Furthermore, Crytpo currency is here to stay insofar as it represents a peer-to-peer money network. that is, unless the internet is somehow shut down by a monstrous global tyranny. But then, there's always p2p mesh network possibilities. If you see Bitcoin as a movement, it will probably never fail.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 10 Years From Now on: October 12, 2019, 05:13:22 PM
I can't think of a scenario that Bitcoin will fail. it has ruled out technical failure after having proven itself for a decade, so is unlikely to fail technically for next decade, and wont fail so long as there is demand. The only way to kill demand would be to make its use-cases irrelevant. namely its sound immutable monetary policy and its censorship resistance. thereby the biggest threat to bitcoin today would be if all central banks returned to the gold standard simultaneously and all commercial banks gave their customers complete privacy and sovereignty over their accounts. That would drastically undermine demand for bitcoin.

I told my friends in 2013 Bitcoin would go to $1,000, they laughed. i told them in 2016 it would go to $10,000, they laughed. Now I'm telling them it will go to $100,000, they're laughing now, but in a couple years they're going to be crying, and I'm just going to have to say, i tried to tell you but you wouldn't listen
692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin coins are losing popularity? on: October 12, 2019, 12:52:42 PM
I think your vision is clouded, you seem like your the kind of person who because BTC hasn’t grown in the way you thought it would, that it can’t. Maybe you would say adoption might come earlier from such low-income countries, but i think The future of Bitcoin depend on countries like US & member state of the European Union and maybe China. It doesn't depends on countries like Afghanistan, Greece, Iran, Turkey, Venezuela, and most African countries.

Bitcoin is the best decentralized platform of trust in Cryptocurrency. the usability layers and network effects that develop which add to its core capabilities are amplifiers, while those that seek to offset Bitcoin's advantages will fade into irrelevance. i see no reason to doubt Bitcoin's objective and success even if it does not 'defeat' fiat in low-income countries.
693  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen to banks? on: October 12, 2019, 11:56:47 AM
This is in fact a very difficult question for which it is difficult to find an answer. global banking didn't find a way to control Bitcoin/blockchain, thereby all the banks are doing now is lobbying the governments to regulate and tax the shit out of Crypto investors and companies so they can steal blockchain for themselves. in my opinion, eventually banks will embrace Blockchain and use it to their advantage. Bankers are not stupid, most money are belong to them. they're probably hoarding bitcoin and control Crypto market from dark corner. the last bull/bear run is probably their works.
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BLOCKCHAIN IN THE FUTURE on: October 12, 2019, 11:24:09 AM
Blockchain will require a HUGE increase in efficiency before it becomes commonplace. Visa uses the electric consumption equivalent of 50,000 homes to process its billions of yearly transactions. The bitcoin blockchain consumes the electric equivalent of millions of homes to process a fraction of the transactions. The biggest obstacle to the adoption of blockchain will be environmentalists.

Furthermore cryptocurrencies not able to keep up with Visa when it comes to the amount of transactions per day without the blockchain getting way to large to store and handle, the blockchain will get too big to download so no new miners will join the network. Miners come and go all the time but if miners stop joining miners will leave which will weaken the security and make the blockchain more centralized and could kill a blockchain.
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banking system and BTC on: October 12, 2019, 06:27:50 AM
Central banks will fight hard for many years, but they cannot ban an algorithm. They will adapt eventually. Commercial banks will take advantage of Bitcoin at some point when it becomes unstoppable, big enough and stable. Will become mainstream after two decades.

There is an alternative for the first time ever. They can coexist for years but history tells people simply will choose the hardest money there is, over time. And that ain't no easy to print fiat money, and those in the broader financial services, who will adapt will survive. Decentralized Finance is here to stay and bloom. This gives a lot of opportunities for old and new. Time will tell. My bet is definitely on bitcoin, and for i will shed no tear for a bank going bankrupt, or the centralized banking system to die. With bitcoin I've my own private bank in my pocket, and so could all the people around the globe.
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum and stable coins like usdt on: October 11, 2019, 04:48:17 PM
Stable coins are going to be the everyday money in Crypto. With all the top stable coins being built on Ethereum and over half of all stable coins being built on Ethereum, it’s clear what Blockchain these stable coin projects prefer. It’s the chain that gives them what they need. the best blend of dependability, security and decentralization. That’s encouraging to see and has impact on credibility and price of Ethereum at some aspects, directly or indirectly.
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum will reach $ 2500 on: October 11, 2019, 04:16:16 PM
About Ethereum, that is widely believed to be competing with Bitcoin because of its smart contract, i want to say that you can run second layer technology and sidechains on bitcoin to enable any type of smart contract you want. You can do property ownership, run apartment renting service or basically anything you want on top of bitcoin. The Crypto space doesn't "need" more coins, just needs more patience for technology to mature. Vitalik wanted to build ETH on top of bitcoin but there were a lot of disagreements on how it should be done so he did it from scratch, ETH growth proved with a great demonstration of how lacking we are in patience in this field.
698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Fiat currencies still exist or be replaced by Crypto Currencies? on: October 11, 2019, 03:56:07 PM
I agree with your first scenario. Technically, without fiat there is no bitcoin because the mining farms that operate the Bitcoin network all require fiat to purchase their hardware and electricity. A total fiat collapse would destroy Bitcoin and the entire Crypto ecosystem, but this will probably never happen. At least not without some type of major world war where the power elite are wiped out and economic rules are re-written.

If fiat collapses BTC will collapse as well. This may not be a popular opinion but I see BTC as built on top of fiat, similar to how altcoins are built on top of BTC. In order for BTC to gain value it had to be bought with fiat. Similar to how altcoins had to be bought with BTC. this is not to say that BTC can't become one of the largest world currencies or stores of value like gold but ultimately, in a doomsday scenario, you can't eat or drink BTC. If fiat collapses were are all done.
699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy these altcoins!!! on: October 11, 2019, 03:08:29 PM
Three coins that you should buy now if you want to get some good profit by the year’s end!

BCHabc
Ripple
Trx

Any recommendation from your side?
Don't buy them and stick with Bitcoin. personally, I would not invest in any altcoins. There are thousands of coins and 99% of them are either scams, or are way behind in terms of development. furthermore, if you look at the chart for about the last 4 years, you will see that the top 2-3 have remained the same. but If you want more risk and had to invest in one/two altcoins, it would definitely be Ethereum and Binance.

There is an entire system being built on top of ETH and people liken it to the new internet. It can serve all the functions of Bitcoin plus is has utility. also BNB is seriously the only altcoins that has consistently gone up, was an awesome hedge at the height of the bear, and the only coin that has reached a new ATH since early 2018.
700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Speculation Coming Soon... on: October 11, 2019, 02:55:06 PM
Just buy bitcoin and a little ETH on the side. literally every other post in here is asking what crypto to buy, when to buy. we are obviously well past the point where there is no reasonable connection between value or potential and the price of altcoins right now. People are just throwing stupid money into altcoins out of pure FOMO right now.

You're way too late to find the next big thing in the middle of this run. And no one is ever going to tell you what it is. If you want to speculate with altcoins just wait until after the crash done and things calm down. It won't be long now. If you absolutely insist on buying altcoins just go to Coinmarketcap and pick from the top ten, that way you still have a decent chance of having some of your money in a few months.
