681  Economy / Services / Re: [Micro Task] Make a post in this forum and get paid in bitcoin. on: January 14, 2017, 05:36:37 AM
Just an FYI, we are hiring promoters on Bitcointalk.  This promoter started a newbie account and wanted to try this idea, and we approved it.  Qtum is sending the BTC today to this promoter to pay for this small campaign.

If this is against any forum rules, we (qtum) will take responsibility for it.

I see that you got an award from the Blockchain Summit 2016 but will you join this summit, the Blockchain Summit 2017 which is going to happen at February 9, 2017, I think that there will be lots of questions and the answers could be useful/helpful for the community!

This is one of the things we're working on, getting the news out.  We have received all kinds of awards and praise from Blockchain industry types, in fact right now I'm sitting beside a giant cheque that we won in 2016.  Even Vitalik starts talking about us at the 10 minute mark

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He850TP59SI

To give you a direct answer, I'm not sure if we'll be at the 2017 summit.  I know Earlz is at a conference right now.  I'll ask Patrick when we meet today.

Is campaign open or full ? I like to join but need confirmation first.

Thank you

It's open, you can apply in this thread.  We have about 125 spots left I believe, you can look at our spreadsheet below.

Technode, a Chinese technology site, just wrote an article about Qtum

Hi,
Do you have any slot for Jr. Member ?

Jr. Members are welcome

How can you be checking all the post counts everyday, not for 200 participants, something like this is to be enjoyed not work yourself out. If you need to detect spammers and rush hour posters you will actually find a trend in their post history. This is just an advice and I hope this is not the first signature campaign you are managing. Best of luck

Thank you for the advice, but this is not a discussion thread.
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qtum, A Stable Value Transfer Platform on: January 13, 2017, 11:45:01 AM
Translators are welcome to claim bounties, and will be paid in Bitcoin.

Our team can do the translations for:

Chinese
English
Swedish
Arabic
French
Spanish
Russian
Belarusian
Macedonian

We will approve each bounty, and we ask that the translators post a link to their work and the transaction ID in this thread.

There will be bounties for other types of work posted later.

And what about my payment? I've translated your topic to russian. You can check it https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1749692.0
But i didn't receive any paiment for my job. You're just ignoring my PM and post in this thread. Ignoring isn't good strategy for business at this forum.

Was this bounty approved?

How does it's must be aproved? You can check my translation using this link.
I saw that you pay another people for their translations. They just wrote something like "I ll take turkish" and after their work they post here link for it. I did like them.

We need to approve each bounty, there is almost 100 private messages in this inbox of people trying to claim bounties for (possible) fake translations.  One guy has private messaged me 3-5 times a day wanting money for his fake translation for weeks now.

This message I quoted clearly states we need to approve each bounty, and we do not need a Russian translation.  We have not paid even approved translations for a few days, in the hopes that the Bitcointalk community would catch the dishonest google translate people.

We can pay for for your translation, but I don't want to set a precedent here, this will be an exception.  We already have a Russian translation from Alex, others have done one and asked for payment.

Post your BTC address and we will pay this within a day or two.

Would like to confirm that I'll be providing my escrow service for this campaign (will update this post as soon as I receive the appropriate funds with a signed message, later on).

Good to have you helping out, thanks for that.

Looks like a sustainable project with a good team behind it. I have seen that a signature campaign has already been started. I hope to see a good development in future.

Also I see that the team has managed to secure 1 million funding which has already differentiated themselves from other projects. Watching as of now, will get in to it soon.

Yup, the signature campaign hire 200 people, but 120 char doesn't count, this rule is a bit strict, many other campaigns have no such rules, or only 75, or 100 char. 120 char is too much.

Yes our signature camapaign manager we hired is pretty strict, but he's thorough.  If you want to talk to him directly, you can join our Slack.

Have any Qtum social media Bounties for this campaign? If not , then when you start social media campaign bounty ? I am waiting for those campaign and already joined your signature campaign . good luck for this project .

We will start the social media campaigns soon, we just started the signature campaign so logically this is the next thing we will do.  Hopefully we will see you on the list when we get started!

any bounties for translating the thread?

I will update the OP today and list which translations have been done, and which are available.  Right now we are getting a lot of fake translations, so if you guys spot one of these, please point it out.  So far the Bitcointalk community has been pretty vigilant when it comes to weeding through the fakes.

Too many cheaters live in every campaign, tighten your pocket and ignore those cheaters

Yes, it's a problem, but I think the majority of people that want to participate in a project for bounties are honest.  We hired a good signature campaign manager from the Philippines who has a knack for spotting the bad apples.

We also spoke with an individual today from Bangladesh who is going to help with some social media and campaign activity.  We said we would try his services on a week to week basis, so if anyone has any feedback please let me know.  His account here is KPCian:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=879468

He can make an appearance in this thread and share some of his ideas.  You can contact him directly on this forum or over Slack, so if you have any ideas or feedback please get in touch.

Hello, we hired a campaign manager to do some promotion for the Qtum project.  This is one of the ideas he had, so we will let him try it out.  Contact him if you have any questions, but we will let him set the rules of his campaigns.

Join our Slack channel if you want to speak with him (or me) directly:

Many people are sending me private messages about this signature campaign.  Please remember we hired BlackMambaPH to manage this, so if you are not on the spreadsheet it is because he is sleeping.  He lives in the Phillipines, so his timezone may not be the same as yours.

There is lots of space left in this campaign, we want our community to succeed, which means we want you on the spreadsheet.

If there are any problems, you can also talk to us on our Slack.  I am there, and so is the rest of our team.  Our campaign manager can create a channel where you can talk to him directly.

We will also escrow the BTC needed to pay for this campaign on Saturday.  We still haven't hired an escrow, so if we have to pay the funds for the first week ourselves, we will post the txid's in the OP.

How about social media bounty campaign ?
its available ?

We'll do a social media campaign next, we just started the avatar and signature campaign today:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1747399.new#new

Once that's underway, we'll start with the Facebook, Twitter, and so forth.
697  Economy / Services / Re: QTUM Signature and Avatar Campaign on: January 12, 2017, 06:10:42 AM
We've had a few requests to raise the rates for one of the ranks, so we're just working that out now.
698  Economy / Services / Re: QTUM Signature and Avatar Campaign on: January 12, 2017, 02:46:21 AM
Hi there BlackMamba,

I am under the understanding that quality of post doesn't necessarily mean that you have to make longer posts.
As long as your post is in lieu with the discussion it is not  gonna be considered low-quality. A simple yet responsive 1 liner is much better than a 3 liner rubbish.

Just my thoughts.
Good Luck with this new campaign. Smiley

Yes, the post doesn't have to be a perfectly edited piece of literature, it can even be trolling.  It just cannot be spam, or some obvious slacker attempt to gain BTC by posting "+1" multiple times in dead threads.  The posts have to be "constructive" and have some thought put into it.

I don't like one-liners, but so long as they're not 3-5 word posts, and they're on topic then sure.

This post I just made would be an example of a constructive post.

Yes, Coindesk is a great news site.  We are very happy that they ran an article about Qtum.

We were also just published on Bitcoinmagazine.com

The guys in the picture, from right to left:

John (PR), Brett (That's me!), Neil (Head dev), Patrick (Qtum Founder), Caspel (Web dev), Earlz (Lead dev)

Our other team members were in other countries, but you'll hear and see more from them later.  There should be more press coming soon.
