No its not because it would be foolish of them, plus they wont make sales.

It's normally what happens. It's already being discussed on their main forums with several staff members talking about it. It's not set in stone but, they will definitely make sales if there's enough people enjoying it in alpha/beta stage.

Remember, companies just want more and more money they don't actually care for their customers.
6802  Other / Off-topic / Re: What video games do you play? on: January 06, 2014, 07:44:56 PM

Hmm, Yes, I would'nt buy it when its in alpha stage. Not worth the money, am I right?

Thing is as soon as it comes out of alpha/beta stages the price is going to be a lot more.

I found the weird time requirement to make your first post on here annoying. Almost to the extent I'd rather have discussions elsewhere.  Once I was past that, I'm all for the signatures though.  They promote community etc.

What do you mean by it promotes community?

Maybe something like this is coming in the next forum software Tongue

I hope not. It's something which isn't needed and would be a waste of time. It's simple to copy a address and send it with a Bitcoin wallet. Least there is no security vulnerabilities to consider here at the forum.

Supplying pictures would be a good start.

Also, out of curiosity, do you keep an eye on users with posts count/activity>10 (or 20 or even more)? I think that could help catching some spammers

I find it ridiculous when users have only been here for a month or two and they are already hitting 2000-3000 posts. I know we had a lot of spammers before the whole sig thing. But, the way they are doing it now paying per post it seems it's getting worse. Spammers are trying to hide it too. They are posting in threads which they wouldn't be interested in and don't add any value to the subject in matter. I have seen the off topic section for example be flooded with one persons name commenting on every thread. Surely, they haven't got anything to add for every single thread posted here at the forum, it's not so much they're posts are constructive because anyone can sting a few sentences together.

I've checked out some videos and reviews. It's really dark (hence the name) and gritty. While TES games are more of the western fanatsy type, which is more appealing to me.

Ah right, I'll have to take a look when I get home to see if it looks like I'll enjoy it. I don't like to comment on games that I haven't played or been seen played.

I too like the idea of adding tapatalk to the forum. It's easier to navigate through the place with that app on a mobile or even a tablet.

You can always use the Chrome app on the mobile.

I've never played Dark Souls or even looked at game play so I can't really comment on if it's good or not. Would you recommend it to a elder scroll fan?

Overstock will be pushing it very soon, don't you worry.

I must say the blue one really does stand out. Well done!

You are selling the name and that is all?
6813  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movie Recommendation Station on: January 06, 2014, 06:19:44 PM
Some of these recommendations are really good. I'm surprised I haven't seen some of them or even heard of them.

Bumping again for newbs like us. Smiley

Likewise man this is going to take me awhile to learn... sigh

Just search the things you don't understand. Otherwise, learning every single one is going to take time and you will never use some of the terms.

I played the very old elder scrolls games and their combat just sucked. I mean I don't know why they were so popular.

They were popular for the same reasons they are today, they were the best around and had so much content people spent many hours on then doing different things. Anyway, the game wasn't all about combat it was about the story and the environment, I for one enjoyed exploring the pixel world. Well, to be quite honest when the early elder scroll games were released I was still playing text based games.
6816  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you spend your days doing if you didn't have to work ever again? on: January 06, 2014, 03:59:40 PM
I think most people would travel. What else is there to do?
There's a traditional saying that for the most satisfying and happiest life every person should "plant a tree, build a house, raise a child, and write a book".

Travel is great, and I doubt I will ever grow tired of it, but I think my life would feel rather empty if I did nothing except travel for decade after decade.

I agree with what you have said, doing one thing and only one thing I would tire really quick and get bored. If I had the opportunity I would do a number of different things.

Regarding the gun combat I agree, however sword combat was pretty good in some games. Actually, I only recently started playing games FPS or any other games with guns. Most of my previous games included swords, magic or anything similiar. So I only played Fallout 3 in 2012 or so.
Could be one of the reasons that you thought the combat was bad. Although, creating a good game which involves sword fighting is a little bit easier has you don't have to consider bullet drop and other aspects. Magic based games I haven't really played. I normally just play a sword fighter instead of getting involved in all the magic stuff.

Remake was better.

The remake was disappointing. The acting wasn't incredible, the mistakes they made in the movie were just so bad. I still enjoyed watching the remake but it doesn't have anything on the original.

I can't see Paypal accepting Bitcoin any time soon as it's  against their tos.

V for Vendetta. Good film, very entertaining to say the least. The original Red Dawn was something which I really used to enjoy watching too.
