6801  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying Crypto with Paypal on: August 31, 2017, 02:25:21 PM
Thanks Koadharber
Ok I tried Paxful.com and the least expensive
rate I could source via PAYPAL was the following:

Minimum is 10 EUR
Maximum trade 50 EUR
It costs you $1.8 for each dollar
Rate 7167.31 EUR per bitcoin (you can buy any fraction of bitcoin)

so as has already been mentioned above the exchange
rates with paypal transactions are just far too high and
I suspect localbitcoins will be the same.
6802  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying Crypto with Paypal on: August 31, 2017, 01:56:25 PM
Thanks for the replies everyone! I have learned something new in this regard anyway today  Smiley
Ok I will check out Localbitcoins and Paxful, If I dont see anything appealing I will just
Withdraw the funds and buy crypto from my Bank account as normal.
6803  Economy / Trading Discussion / Buying Crypto with Paypal on: August 31, 2017, 11:59:05 AM
Hi All,

Its been a while since I bought Crypto with PAYPAL funds
I used to use wesellcrypto.com, but I see trading disabled
there now.

So is there any alternative?
6804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Alternative for Bounty Payments on: August 31, 2017, 11:47:54 AM
Apologies in advance if this is not the right place to post this

Would it be a consideration for the Bounty campaign managers to
make payments and rewards in Litecoin as well as Bitcoin.

and would people in general be open to this idea?

I have seen signature campaigns offering ETH and other tokens
as rewards but outside ETH/token rewards I would possibly like to
see Litecoin as an alternative
6805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: litecoin on: August 31, 2017, 11:12:07 AM
I sense this will turn out to be a "LITECOIN LOVE THREAD"
Loving the posts above, its all very positive and optimistic.

I cannot see a $40 low again with Litecoin and as
I posted in another thread its movements are quite stable
which is not ideal for short term trading but very nice for
long term holding.
6806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think LTC go up soon? on: August 31, 2017, 11:04:31 AM
yes correct Charlie Lee left Coinbase to focus solely on Litecoin.
He like many others see a potential in this and with positive
developments over the last 2 months Litecoin is only going up.

Lite Coin is something good coin if this coin potential is very slow I think.I bought 20 LTC when worth of 4$ per coin. This coin is just perfect for long term hold.
Holding LTC is not good idea because I was no believe to the potential of this altcoin due to unstable movement of litecoin in the market. I think developer of this coin was lose hope. However, hoping that this altcoin was still fight to survive in the market.

Im struggling to find unstable movements in Litecoin, I just checked
again on Bittrex to make sure I hadnt missed anything and yup it is
at $66.00 . . . up AGAIN

so your second point about the developer loosing hope doesnt make
any sense because Litecoin is actually too stable for a lot of people
who want big movement for their trading activity.

The development team seem to be doing quite a nice job IMO

6807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claim your Bitcoin Cash in Exodus Wallet on: August 31, 2017, 10:21:22 AM
This only works if you have bitcoins in your wallet before August 1 2017. You can find the info here:

http://support.exodus.io/article/64-how-do-i-claim-bitcoin-cash

No need to extract private keys by yourself and all the risk of losing your btc or bch

It's fast and safe!

Thanks for posting, I heard that Exodus were working on
providing BCH for their Bitcoin wallet holders although
they are not providing a wallet directly themselves.

this is FAKE.

do you mean i can claim any bcc if i only know wallet address?
you can't claim bcc without having private keys.

Why do you think this is FAKE?
Exodus have listed this process on their own support site!
6808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite 3 altcoins and why? on: August 31, 2017, 09:02:34 AM
My favourite ALT coins are:

Litecoin, purely as it is a pure survivor and the original altcoin which
has returned from near death to be a very steady performer.

Monero, because it is a coin which is widely used al be it on the
dark web etc. it is actively used.

SIAcoin Although it is rather static at the moment and the technology is not
unique to it, that blockchain technology to me is very promising
6809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - The gamechanger? on: August 31, 2017, 08:53:50 AM
There is a bit of a buzz around IOTA for sure and as the comments above ask,
why is it not available for trading on the big exchanges now?

IOTA - The Scam changer, a better name for your topic to consider.
If you can take the time to write here why you think this, instead of just writing scam it would be a better comment. So please try again!
Ty

Your ignorance will put you in a grave someday.

1) IOTA doesn't have a blockchain. It is not a currency nor it is not a crypto.
2) IOTA is FULLY premined, just two years ago this was enough for people to put red flags.
3) IOTA already has 2,779,530,283,000,000 coins, not distributed almost at all.
4) IOTA had a ICO, this solo is enough to put a red flag on this shit, not even a shitcoin.
5) IOTA is highly centralized, this solo is enough to put a red flag and mark it as a scam.

Good luck, "investors" shills and ignorants.

If this is the case posted above, then to me it does not look at all as appetising as before !
But what will happen is people will still buy into this as soon as it is available on exchanges
in order to "get rich quick"
6810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long term investment? on: August 30, 2017, 04:30:25 PM
Hi Guys,

New on the forum and looking for some advice. I am looking at long term investing, in these coins:

- Bitcoin (40%) but only when the price drops
- Ethereum (20%)
- Litecoin (10%)
- Zcash (10%)
- Ripple (10%)
- Monero (10%)

Those coins I can buy with my current Kraken account. I am also looking at small investment in WAVES and OmiseGO but then have to use Bittrex. Not sure about the switch yet. Any ideas?

Greatly appreciated!

For the long term haul I would definitely suggest to invest in 2 of your list

Bitcoin
Litecoin

and 2 to seriously consider would be

Ethereum
Monero

And yes possibly

Zcash

and something to dabble in as a day trade here and there

Ripple
6811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the NSA identified Satoshi Nakamoto on: August 30, 2017, 04:21:16 PM

https://medium.com/@amuse/how-the-nsa-caught-satoshi-nakamoto-868affcef595

So they finally say they have caught the elusive Satoshi Nakamoto. Undecided

Excerpt from source material of Time magazine:
"The ‘creator’ of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, is the world’s most elusive billionaire. Very few people outside of the Department of Homeland.."

Do you think they really caught him after the whole Craig Wright debacle last year and the old guy from Japan known as the face of the surprised as hell Nakamoto.

Weight in your thoughts.

We would all like to know your opinion on the subject. Grin

They said with in a month they will release who it truly is. Cheesy

pfffft, i'll believe it when I read it on every newspaper front page
hear it on every radio news bulletin and see images of him.

Im not sure that that "stylometry" thing would actually lead them
to an actual person's whereabouts anyway.

and why 1 month ?
6812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: November real test for Bitcoin ? on: August 30, 2017, 03:30:24 PM
Do not waste time. Many mistakes are wasted. Have not we learned yet? This august Bitcoin Fork took place and we saw the decline of its price. And in November Hard Fork will again take place where it will develop again and will be the result of increasing prices. So we expect double the price of the keep keep bitcoins. 10,000 $ is coming soon

I have eluded to this before, Bitcoin is constantly rising and when it falls it creates a new low.
I firmly believe we wont see bitcoin fall far below $4000 with the next fluctuation,
and then it will climb higher than it is now <> $4600.
So Novembers fluctuation will still be higher than the current price!
6813  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can we stop the hodl cult... please? on: August 30, 2017, 09:49:49 AM
Yes HODling is usefull for FIAT but it depends on the size of the HOD !

Here is a picture of a traditional HOD for carrying bricks, you can see that instead of bricks you
could carry or HOLD FIAT in them also But it would be completely useless for Crypto currencies.

6814  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can we stop the hodl cult... please? on: August 30, 2017, 09:43:03 AM
Grin this is funny, I had no idea that Hold was being spelled differently!
I just thought that people didnt know the correct spelling  Grin

anyway I dont use the incorrect version  Tongue
6815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More good news for litecoin on: August 29, 2017, 09:50:52 PM
sounds good, and again nice to see Crypto being reported in main stream media.
I like this line "36.9 percent of litecoin buying happened in Chinese yuan, followed by 22.4 percent in Korean won"
Again its the Asian markets that ate really getting into crypto.
6816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain (FULL) on: August 29, 2017, 09:45:22 PM
Well I have not received anything yet either.
I notice also that my history in my NEM wallet has dissapeared
so I cannot see exactly what date I sent NEM for Dimcoin?
6817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: And now Vietnam to legalize Bitcoin on: August 29, 2017, 09:28:28 PM
Very Very good news!
Yet another Asian country to legalise bitcoin, Asia in general
seem to be moving forward with accepting, legalising, recognising
crypto currencies, while here in Europe there really is no news in
that regard likewise in north and south America.
6818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suddenly, Russia Plans To Ban Cryptocurrency Sales To ‘Ordinary People’ on: August 29, 2017, 09:10:44 PM
This idea sounds like elitism and a way to
Keep the rich wealthy. I wonder what he actually
Means by 'qualified investors' and 'people with a
Reason to invest' ? Sounds like waffle.
Real backwards thinking to try a stop crypto.
6819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin on: August 29, 2017, 08:57:20 PM
Well bitcoin just hit $4600 on bittrex so Litecoin will follow upwards a bit.
I actually think BCH will be healthy for a time then fall off a bit especially
As and when bitcoin gains more activity and growth and all the time litecoin following.
