Uno Community has what it takes to accept no bull from the exchange houses.

This was a crisis avoided.  But collectively we flag any 'transaction malleability' issues ASAP.

In the future I'd like us to be the community that exchange houses fear to hear a knock from.
6823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: February 13, 2015, 03:49:52 PM
What if it goes to 100 and everyone sells off of course the price will crash down again. It really doesnt make sense for people to hold all their UNO when its worth 100000. Wouldn't people want to spend that? Therefore when all the whales decide to sell the price will go crashing and burning down to 1 again?

@Blazin604

BTC is no different there are folks holding 50000btc what if they unload on btc $10,000?

The funny thing is evenly distributed coins are in the tank or dead.  Remember all the free give away coins last year?  No you don't because they are toast already.

Every coin of value is backed by whales.

Money is a very strange beast.

At least UNO was fairly mined.  The data indicates wide distribution (way better than BTC or LTC) and most of the coins look to still be held by miners.

============
"I have reserved 15 USD a day in exchange to buy bitcoins which are dedicated to Unobtanium specificially."

Well there goes 1/3 the daily reward supply.
this is what is ZERO GRAVITY is about.

It's a tarp!

UNO maybe one of the easiest coins to trade.  Buy and Hold.
Fundamentals are on track.

The reward schedule ... awesome.
The network strength ... Top10 securest networks on Earth.
The dev team ... smart cookies.
The community ... Cheesy

And if you don't care about any of that ... just read the chart do some TA ... still good.
6826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: February 13, 2015, 01:14:43 AM
What's the benifit of exchanging uno for bullion?

Why? >> Known good asset

Gold has 3000 yr.  written market history
(probably globally traded for +10,000 years)
There is hard daily trade data on gold and silver back to the 1800s.

It's shiny.

Exchanging uno for bullion and bullion for uno (via the UnEx DVCs) gives you very good ability to maintain stability in your portfolio.
6827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: February 12, 2015, 02:49:56 PM
Is volatility a good thing?

UNO has very low inflation, but as price rises there should be a fair share of miners selling at market spot (say 5kg/day).

So that is the only real supply at any price.

The ASKS will be high. (hodlrs)
The wall/large BIDS will be conservative based on MA.

This leaves for a wide spread and constant volatility.
And this trend would likely widen as rewards drop to near zero.

UNO maybe perfect for both traders and investors.
6828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: February 12, 2015, 07:25:36 AM
Are you suggesting an UNO for Beautiful Women Fund?
6829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: February 12, 2015, 03:17:25 AM
@national chapters/bullion

Congrats M!

I think small but established dealers are the target.  "Why not hold/trade $1000 worth of UNO Mr Bullion Dealer we've got 50 people in your area wanting to buy bullion with UNO"

I am perfectly willing to met someone in person and hand them Gold for Uno.  (peer2peer)
But it is better to have gold dealer shops onboard. (localBullion)
And better yet online gold dealers already onboard.  (postal shipping)
Last exactly what the very wealthy have Vaulted Bullion (DVC)

re: SC
I still don't get side chains.
And no side chains exist (just an idea with big funding backing it) - correct?
I like the idea of them, and they don't sound like a problem.
But I agree why beta test this on UNO.  Show that it works on a coin with $3000 in market cap.
Does it require a Fork?

re: MM
It does require Forking.
‘fork now’ OR ‘fork later’
I'm in camp ‘fork later’
We need to map out our timeline.
Get the calenders out.
Yes UNO halves in May, but I think we can keep up the Hash at least until the next half.
In fact between Genesis and steady UP price trend we'll likely do just fine until R=1.7 UNO/day.

In the meantime we can get all the details right ... whatever needs to be fixed, whatever needs to be added ... this would be it ... never again is the fork an option.

Are the teenagers running another pump? Or is it Mr. Gecko?  Roll Eyes

I think it's new interest and regretful dumpers. I think Gecko said he dumped at .012. He claimed he bought in at .003 and made 4x profit but how is that the case if BTC is 4x less than it was at that time?

I guess maybe because 4x BTC is 4x BTC.

In April bought at in at .003btc ... is no great feat to sell off at .02

Why? UNO tracks value in $ ... not btc (You Know the coin that was $1200 and is now $200).

"I think it's new interest and regretful dumpers."

that and
FUNDAMENTALS

the chart is still sound

Also Uno needs always be able to be mined independantly in any case. Actually the opinion of miners would be interesting too.

With the old knc shit I have, it costs me $.80/gh/day to mine UNO.  I think, with a spond sp20, it pays from .05-.22/gh/day to mine UNO.(bitmain s5 uses less power)  Why am I mining at a loss?  Why did I mine Bitcoin at a loss in 2011?

uno=.2 current price at this time
Case Closed.

Verdict for the miners who mined "at risk of loss".

a formidable altcoin store of value

Sidechains are no threat to UNO rockchain.  And if a decent model (code packet) is created it just means we can cold storage UNOs in them and recover them later if the new asset fails.

BUT

Merge mining into BTC network is on pause pending proof of works.  Get a coin in the BW / Uno sphere-of-influence MM first.  Mark on the map when 'forking' probably will happen (if and only if needed).

WASHINGTON — Cheaper, better robots will replace human workers in the world’s factories at a faster pace over the next decade, pushing manufacturing labor costs down 16 percent, a report Tuesday said.

The Boston Consulting Group predicts that investment in industrial robots will grow 10 percent a year in the world’s 25-biggest export nations through 2025, up from 2 percent to 3 percent a year now. The investment will pay off in lower costs and increased efficiency.

Robots will cut labor costs by 33 percent in South Korea, 25 percent in Japan, 24 percent in Canada and 22 percent in the United States and Taiwan. Only 10 percent of jobs that can be automated have already been taken by robots. By 2025, the machines will have more than 23 percent, Boston Consulting forecasts.

As labor costs rise around the world, it is becoming increasingly critical that manufacturers rapidly take steps to improve their output per worker to stay competitive.

Robots are getting cheaper. The cost of owning and operating a robotic spot welder, for instance, has tumbled from $ 182,000 in 2005 to $ 133,000 last year, and will drop to $ 103,000 by 2025, Boston Consulting says.

proposal from me: delay until dominant trends change.
(let's leave it all on the roadmap for the future though)

Yes fork but later.  When the trends shift.  We can set a date to fok on the road map.
In the meantime.
1. Bryce can demonstrate on another coin. (How about merge mining MM an existing sha256 to UNO ... I have a few in mind)
2. Bryce and Blazr and perhaps an additional group of devs can launch a new MM coin from a UNO snap shot.
3. I have an idea on a 'super' coin ecosystem/economy (more details later) but this moves UNO from being just a coin to being the core asset of value of something much greater and really makes evident the case for challenging BTC and UNO becoming the real coin of SHA256 ... miners mine where the money is to be made.

Something above my pay grade.  All this fuss in BTC about forking because of 'block size'.  Is it possible for us to create a MM coin that does just what Gavincoin wants to do.  If that is the case then UNO is not bloated but a MM coin that supprts the UNO network handles the bloat.
6837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: February 11, 2015, 06:22:54 AM
@cragv
good read.  thanks for that post.

"I'm moderately in support of sidechaining and merge mining."

I hold same position ...  moderately in support of

BUT
1. I don't see the rush to move.  I think we can give a nod that it is okay to move towards MM ... really why not?  But let's plan on a fork in ERA 8-9 (again we have time on our side).  BTC insiders are just this week hinting that it might be a bit of a bummer investment for the next 2 years.  So that is the window 24-30 months.

In the meantime, I do think Bryce has plenty of other coins to test-run things.  If we do this it is the FINAL fork ... so any and all other 'fork-able' things need to be addressed at the same time.  From there on out all updates must be compatible with this last fork ... cause this is a even more conservative group than Mpcoin.

So we need to see the BIG picture and look at where we want to go and how we want to get there.

----------
I'll be damn'd DVC is a kind of "Pegged    Side Chain" Smiley

"3. If the asset fails to be adopted, I can get some or all my bitcoins back."
In DVCs you can get all the frozen UNOs back.

-----------
All we need is an "UnoShare" coin and Un-Ex and the uno-Whales can maintain stable prices just like Nubits.  By leveraging "UnoShare" coin.

This would make Uno more like ripple/Stellar and nearly exactly like Nubits ... except better network security ... and the base $value shifts up ... Nubits are stuck @$1
6838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: February 11, 2015, 04:29:09 AM
Unlike other more inflationary coins, this is a coin that is not scary to pick up from the dump since low emission makes it sure this coin has value.

not scary to pick up from the dump
not scary to pick up from the dump
not scary to pick up from the dump

Boo Yah !!

That's what makes UNO pretty cool.

It may get dumps on rapid ups, but the risk of a prolonged down turn is less (reason low inflation).

And unlike the pure stakes ... black, fuel, panda, rdd ... UNO is not coming off $Million dollar IPO market caps ... there is little incentive for guys that got $1M for not much to HODL ... UNO is the opposite it has traded in the $1-$2 for a long time.   The strong hands are in for a LONG game.

Plus this is a SHA256 coin ... 1000000x more secure than stakes.  If you don't get that then please study up because it the difference between a bumblebee and a space launch vehicle.

this
when UNO is lets say 1000+ dollars whats stopping everyone from selling off their UNO and "cashing out" driving the price down? Whats stopping them from doing this? Wont this in the end drive the price down hard?

Remember there are only 193 000 coins, not 800 000 000.  1000+ is far ahead and when bitcoin was at 1000, I never cashed out, it even got to 1500 in canada, I didnt sell, only to pay bills.  Manipulation drives the price down.

The Beast is waking up.

The pumpers played with UNO only because it can trade in multiple BTC per day.  But they have difficulty gaining holdings sufficient to crash the rises.  The only success was crashing the spike up and it looks like it takes a strong game to play that hand too.

Anyone left stranded at the top need only wait and HODL a few weeks to exit.

Not a bad deal in crytoland if you ask me.

The baseline is still strong and the possibility of shifting UNO into a reliable $10k/day volume coin is very possible at this point.

Recently UNB, MAZA, MINT where caught up in the same phenomena they can't maintain the up and disappeared.  In fact there is a coin of the week every week since forever (about Feb 2014).

Here's the real deal.

World, Mega, Feather, Vert, POT ... fail why?  Inflation.  Stand under UNO, no?

Now bigger players will suffer just the same ...  Looking at you ... Doge, Litecoin, and yes you too BTC.
