$ROPE wey we get  for discord airdrop just dey pump very hard today, this life no really balance. My people how the matter dey be how the movement be wetin be discussion of the week? How we go take achieve wetin dey hungry us for here?
Yes, na so. Life no balance. About waiting dey happen for this week, I think make we continue dey post here actively make sense enough. According to your last post about binance coin, the coin dey one of the coins wey increase for price well well recently. Waiting I see about binance coin be sey, na ethereum rival. Even, Binance smart chain dey also compete with ERC20 now.

Binance na iron hand for the crypto matter, for the 9ja sef e nor get who dey follow am drag. But their fees dey tear shirt normally nai make me dey taya for them. Make them try review their high fees o. You don try BrainbossExchange? Na blast for the p2p life normally, no long story
Binance withdrawal fee for altcoin no much, na one of the best for altcoins. The withdrawal fee for bitcoin much though, but people wey dey sell bitcoin, no be problem on their side. And he get ways people that wan withdraw dey use altcoins manipulate.
6842  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoiners Show Me Your Scars!! on: April 11, 2021, 12:44:30 PM
Some are unfortunate to have invested in fake ICOs.
Bitcoiners are those that make use of bitcoin, not altcoins or any ICO (initial coin offering). Your post should completely focus on bitcoin, and bitcoin alone.

Only people I know that were hurt are:

  • people that did not believe in bitcoin and sell during bear market
  • people that sent bitcoin to hardforked coin addresses which its private key is owned by exchanges or other custodial services and not able to recover back their bitcoin.
  • People that were scammed
  • other reasons that deals with custodial services

If someone can be scammed (the victim send bitcoin), that means the victim can also send fiat. A lot of bitcoin lost to exchanges, and supposing you use noncustodial wallet, it will be easily recovered. If someone trade bitcoin and lost funds, that means the person can lose while trading fiat too (bitcoin price do fluctuates but appreciate over long term, an advantage over fiat).

The losses if checked properly, no blame to bitcoin, while the people you regarded as wounded are just seeing it in the wrong way. People to be called bitcoiners should learn about bitcoin before using it, and to be careful of hackers and scammers. And, they should also remember that 'not your key, not your coin'.
6843  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sweeping Wallet with Private key with potential Fork-Coins? on: April 11, 2021, 09:36:40 AM
Coinomi wallet is close source wallet, and I can not encourage anyone to use it. But, it will be the best for ease as it support all the forked coins mentioned. All you need is to sweep the private key into Coinomi wallet. You will see all the forked coins along. Then you can transfer the bitcoin and the forked coins to an offline wallet which is the best for security and safety, or any reputed wallet you want.
6844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a token? on: April 10, 2021, 05:52:42 PM
Coins have their own blockchain, just like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tron and the likes. Tokens do not have their own blockchain, they use the blockchain of coins such as bitcoin, ethereum, Tron and the likes.

Like USDt that is build on bitcoin blockchain called Omini layer, that have similar address with bitcoin 1-prefix addresses. Or, USDt and USDC that use ethereum blockchain, that is why their addresses are similar with ether addresses. Or USDt that that uses Tron blockchain that its addresses are similar with Tron addresses.
6845  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does companies get money on: April 10, 2021, 02:56:23 PM
There are millions of users on this forum, some people also visit this forum anonymous which can be through search engine. Some will click on the signature link. Some companies do also get recognition through the signature campaign link and avatar. A site people do visit will be a focus for companies to advertise their products and services.

Ok thanks sir for correction, really I don't know the particular board that I will ask this question,I acknowledge your guidelines, but I don't know how to move this stuff can you move it.
Scroll down the thread, at the lowermost left side, you will see 'move topic' beside 'lock topic', click on 'move topic' to move it to the appropriate board.
6846  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For OTC Traders: Beware of "Flash bitcoin" or Fake Bitcoin Transaction on: April 10, 2021, 02:49:23 PM
You are not getting me right. I am not implying blockchain.com explorer is not representing the feerate using weight of the transaction, but it is not using vbyte to represent the weight. To send from segwit supported wallet, the wallet fee estimation will be in sat/vbyte. Also checking mempool online, the transaction is in sat/vbyte. It not indicated on blockchain explorer, people can think it is sat/byte also, but they are different. But both (sat/vbyte and sat/byte) are clearly used on blockchair.com in which the difference can be seen as the feerate will be different.
6847  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For OTC Traders: Beware of "Flash bitcoin" or Fake Bitcoin Transaction on: April 10, 2021, 01:14:40 PM
Only pay trusted partners before confirmation.
Nobody should be trusted, making sure the transaction is confirmed should be the right way, especially if the transaction support replace-by-fee.

4. Don’t just buy coins.... Study blockchain technology
Blockchain technology is more wider than this, this is just a simple rule that unconfirmed transactions should not be considered valid until it is confirmed.

I call such coins "flash coins" because it appears and disappears after a while
Like you mentioned before, it is called double-spend transactions, because the bitcoin is diverted to another address with different txid after the fee is pump along.

There's a part of the transactions called an rbf flag (replace by fee). You can check any transaction on a blockchain explorer and it'll normally say if this flag is on or off (I think blockchain.com has it but blockchair definitely does).. This is the flag that allows someone to double spend a tx but there are other way to double spend it - they're just more complex and might not be what a scammer knows about.
Blockchain.com is one of the blockchain explorer that do not want to upgrade, they do not indicate transactions to support replace-by-fee or not. Also one thing I do not like about blockchain.com explorer is it does not use sat/vbyte as the feerate, instead stick to the old one, sat/byte. Blockchair.com is better.
6848  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance blocks user accounts! on: April 10, 2021, 12:49:38 PM
Decentralized exchanges are the best, but centralized exchanges makes trading more flexible, that is why many traders prefer to use it. If you know you are a holder and prefer to trade not often, noncustodial exchanges will be the forgo, but traders that trade often (scalping and day traders) do prefer to make use of custodial exchanges due to low trading fee and more flexible trading.

There should be a reason binance locked your account, this can be due to the coins you made into the exchange that has be used in black market before or in fraud, but not necessarily should be that reason, it can even be as a result of using CoinJoin, maybe you send a coin you Coinjoined into the exchange, this can also be the reason for the account block.

You are not wrong, and totally right, if not your key, then not your bitcoin. You are not he first that this will happen to, there are several cases of even good people that their account are freezed because of CoinJoin transactions linked to the coins sent into the exchange. The coins we have on custodial exchanges can be fully controlled by the exchange authority while bypassing users control, which means we do not have the full control, the custodial exchanges do.

6850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 32 number and letter private key on: April 10, 2021, 10:03:58 AM
its working on bitadress
Never mind that, it is already correct above. Hexadecimal addresses will work on bitaddress, even if you use random hexadecimal numbers and alphabets. But, if not the one you sent bitcoin to, you will not see anything.

If it did not work while converting it to WIF using bitaddress, that means it is not a valid private key.
I've tried a few, and it looks like any 64 character hex number above 0 is accepted. The address (probably uncompressed) may be empty though.
6851  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Android.. sending Unpaid on: April 10, 2021, 08:47:52 AM
I'm trying to send "Max" of funds its around 0.3 BTC.. but instead of transferring that amount.. it's created invoice and stored as unpaid statu
I have not tried it before, but I think this will be useful, the bolded words.

OP, the invoices you generate in this way are simply used by Electrum to track payments you have requested. If a payment is not paid within the time frame you specified, or pays less than you have requested, it will flag up as it did in your case here. That doesn't necessarily mean you have not received any payment though, and payments can still be made just fine after your request has expired.

So likely you created an invoice in which you included a transaction that is more than the max you sent. If this is the case, do not just include the amount to receive in the invoice next time, so far you already know you will send max.

Is the funds still on your electrum wallet?
6852  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Android.. sending Unpaid on: April 10, 2021, 08:31:32 AM
<...>
Never mind me, and you can correct me, but I think invoice and/or invoice address is not needed for this unless to check if the invoice is time stamped, but irrespective of it being time-stamped or not, it will not affect sending.

Yes.. it's my address I'm trying to send funds from my Electrum wallet to my Atomic Wallet (1M2YPQ4kSBfbDmuSNte88JMpjZXCmGfJep)
Hope your wallet is synchronizing with the blockchain? You will see that in the history at the upper part, clearly in bold.

Make sure your wallet synchronize with the blockchain. Make sure you have enough amount for the payment. These are the two likely reasons the invoice is marked unpaid.

6855  Economy / Economics / Re: The One World Currency: Is it Bitcoin? on: April 10, 2021, 02:37:30 AM
What do you think? Is Bitcoin the "One World Currency"?
Bitcoin is going mainstream, but know that bitcoin is not to exist alone, the value it has is because it is superior to others, so letting others too exist is not bad. Fiat and CBDC will exist, commodities like gold will exist while bitcoin will also still exist.

Or will another currency take its place in the future?
In this case, nobody knows the future.

If that happens, which currency do you think will become the "One World Currency"?
Anything can happen in the future, but it is better to comment about the present.

Will it be the US Dollar, the Euro, or the Chinese Yuan?
Do not forget they are all centralized currencies. And, know that fiat will be subjected to devaluation as they are inflationary.

Do you think governments will unanimously agree to use a single currency for everything?
I do not think so. Even if they do not agree, bitcoin that haa such characteristics is already existing. So, we do not need them to as we can use currency that are decentralized already.
6856  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats the best way/method to learn crypto? on: April 09, 2021, 09:40:52 PM
Just make sure you do not rush, take one step at a time in learning it. I was a novice in 2019, but better now. These are what I did:

Learn about:
  • Bitcoin and crypto wallet
  • ICO and IEO
  • Exchanges
  • Crypto scam
  • Mining

You will need to read crypto news daily.

You can use Coinmarketcap or Coingecko to know about the existing cryptocurrencies. If you see over 7000 cryptocurrencies existing, it will surprise you, and know you can not know everything, but knowing only the good ones.

You need to also learn from this forum, it will really help you.
6857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Transactions Fees x Gambling on: April 09, 2021, 08:35:23 PM
But didnt this alts are using eth network and that would also require fees on eth? Sorry as I'm not using litecoins or other alts as I've been buying new coins recently.
Litecoin has its own independent (although copied bitcoin) blockchain, and transaction fee is very low.

I will use even custodial service as an example because they charge high amount of fee, and yet litecoin fee is still low on such platforms. Binance charges 0.001 LTC as fee for litecoin transactions, this will let you assume how much lower it will be on noncustodial wallets. Also you have no problem to withdraw it on the gambling sites that you are using as litecoin fee is low generally.

0.001 LTC multiply by 224 (current price of litecoin) = $0.224.

$0.224 is a very low fee, even on a custodial exchange that have high fee. This will still be much more lower on noncustododial wallets.
6858  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: CPFP on: April 09, 2021, 08:12:18 PM
It will be good to use a wallet that support replace-by-fee, the fee to accelerate transaction will be much lower if replace-by-fee is used. Only what will be required is to pump the fee, rather than making another (child) transaction that will require more fee to be paid.

You mean as a sender and rbf is not possible i can use cpfp also but must include a change utxo?
Yes. But, not necessary mean all the change address UTXO, you can use just some of the bitcoin from the total change address UTXO.

Does this change utxo has to be the initial change address from the parent transaction?
Yes.

If i sent with max amount is a cpfp even possible as sender?
If you send all the amount of bitcoin, that means there will not be change address. In this case, you will not be able to use child-pay-for-parent if you are the sender, because no change address UTXO is available to be used as no change address in the parent transaction. If the receiver is using a wallet that can spend unconfirmed transaction, like electrum, the receiver can use child-pay-for-parent with high fee as explained above and send the coin to another address on his/her wallet. Or, if he wants to send bitcoin to another person, he can use the opportunity to use child-pay-for-parent by sending the unconfirmed transaction, or part of the unconfirmed transaction, both (parent and child transactions) will be confirmed at ones.
6859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Transactions Fees x Gambling on: April 09, 2021, 07:29:41 PM
First of all, if you are using a bitcoin wallet, you can still edit the fee. In this case, I will recommend you a wallet like electrum, make sure you enable replace-by-fee. You can use like 11 sat/vbyte and see if the transaction will be long or not. But 10 sat/vbyte will easily get bitcoin transaction confirmed on Sundays. Try to make us of weekends for such low transaction fee, but using like 20 sat/vbyte will still get transactions confirmed during the weekdays, and it is a small feerate that will require lower amount of bitcoin as fee. But using custodial service like exchanges will be very high in fee, which should not be used.

I do not know much about ethereum, maybe there are good wallets that support ethereum that has replace-by-fee, and also considering weekends for lower fee.

You can also make use of other altcoins like litecoin that have low transaction fee generally.
6860  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe history repeat itself? Economic wise. on: April 09, 2021, 05:02:56 PM
no one can escape this chaos.
I think you are wrong by saying no one can escape fiat based inflation. If you know the power in bitcoin holding, you will not say that. Also are some commodities like gold and silver. The price of these commodities and some strong cryptocurrencies can decrease, but over long term period, the price will increase. They are just one of the potential ways to avoid fiat inflation because there is one thing about fiat is that it can also increase and decrease, but over long term period, fiat always would have inflated through government manipulations and depreciate. Also, experienced traders are able to manipulate their ways in a way not to lose nor subjected to fiat inflation and depreciation.
