This is the wrong place for your complaint. It should be in the service discussion section instead. I would like to add that your problems might actually all have started the instant you attached the 309 satoshi fee to that transaction. Fifteen minutes should have been sufficient if you had attached a more appropriate fee.

I have sent 1.49 BTC this morning from BTC core, they usually get confirmed quick but not one confirmation yet, have I done something wrong? Transaction ID- 0675092b9d8b2ea417397c14d7971e43951e1a46ddc2746b8c984fb8a8a9c61d-000
Transaction rejected by our node. Reason: Fee is too low / Not sufficient priorityyep How did you send a no fee transaction? Are you using Eligius' node?

well... that's a little disappointing... Start: 2016-09-22 20:14:22.330021 5J...M 5J...m 5J...M End: 2016-09-27 03:03:08.780716 Total: 4 days, 6:48:46.450695
Found 3 valid private keys out of 9,663,676,416 combinations... and none of them were the right one (or had any BTCs ) So, obviously, some of my assumptions were wrong We really need to solve the mystery of whether or not there is any way to determine upper or lowercase based on the information we have... I have not been able to discern any pattern as yet... That is very disappointing. If we look at it from another perspective, it's actually good news because if we can't solve this puzzle even with the clues, imagine how safe our Bitcoins are from brute force cracking

Last time we see brexit doesn't give affect for bitcoin. So what kind of global issues that can make us excite for the price?
A gamma-ray burst from ~ 30 light years from of our solar system: bitcoin = 0 (actually earth = 0 too) A large solar storm: In 1859, a solar storm caused telegraph wires to short out in the U.S. and Europe. The way electricity grids are interconnected now, a large solar storm could wipe out the electrical infrastructure for years... I think Bitcoin value would decrease. 1997 XF11 If it hit China, would disrupt mining on a large scale. It could also destroy the earth and bitcoin. I'm sorry, at present I can't think of anything that would make the value increase... I just watched the Trump/Clinton debate and my mind is numb.

Hello Everyone,
I recently made a purchase of my first bitcoin to start saving / learning to trade. Whilst it was not a fortune, it was a lot to me.
I had previously opened my bitcoin account (held by Blockchain.info) a few times, but on the most recent occasion it no longer recognizes my password. As I had kept my 12-word passphrase safe, I decided to recover the funds and start again but I'm having a nightmare...
I have made contact with the moderators there and described the issue which is quite bizarre. They initially told me to "try clearing all your browser data, including cache & cookies? Please also try logging in via an Incognito window (Chrome) and let us know if that helps with the problem." Which I have done to no avail.
This is the issue: When I attempt to recover my funds using 12 word passphrase it does not permit me to enter more than 3 words. The "continue" box greys out after 3rd word. If I click "continue" after 3 words it prompts me to fill in email and a new password, when I click continue again, nothing happened other than a pink box up in right hand corner with random characters.
I have given them screenshots of the process but have heard nothing back from them as yet (I can post it here if someone wants to see). It has been over 7 days.
Please note: I have tried on multiple computers and the same thing happens...
Has anyone heard of an issue like this or is this sounding like an expensive lesson?
Thanks.
Are you using this link? https://blockchain.info/wallet/#/recoverThe continue box will be grey until you finish typing all twelve words. The last word is a checksum that verifies the previous eleven words. Once you click continue, it takes a while to open the account. Are you sure you copied down all the words correctly? Maybe a spelling error?

You forgot about the time you shorted Bre-X from $250 down to zero just as the fraud was exposed and further multiplied your booty. You know... when I first read OP's post I thought, "That's impossible! Phillipma1957 would never stop mining!"

There will be a disaster, miners is the one that help us to process the speed transaction, so without them our transaction will be stuck and it is going to take a lot of time to confirm, so miners is an important things in bitcoin
ok this is interesting topic. i'm wondering what Happens to the bitcoin when all the 21 million coins are mined? what about our transaction , will it be stuck? or something ? since there is no mining activity, and what about the miners what will they do when all the bitcoins are mined? still don't get it. Mining is the method by which transactions are confirmed. This is what links together the blocks into a chain. Miners currently get a block reward of coins plus any transactions fees associated with the transactions in the block they have "mined". They will continue to receive the transaction fees even after all 21 million coins have been awarded. Hopefully it is enough incentive for them to continue.

I can't really get a gauge on the size of that pendant from the image. Perhaps the woman is petite but that pendant looks pretty large. Can you place the pendant alongside something of known size for a comparison? I too have cancer survivors in my family but I don't know that they would wear something quite so big as that appears. How about a picture of it beside a ruler?
Sure can, its late in the evening here so it wont be tonight, but if you have a ruler handy the pendent is 60mm tall and 25mm wide. That woman (my wife) is very small. 5'2 & 100lbs soaking wet. She goes shopping in the kids section for clothes. I'll work on pics next to a ruler tomorrow if my wife will let me sneak away for a bit to take them. Sunday is "family day" at our house and she usually frowns on me doing anything work related. I'm sure she will make an exception in this case though. No, that's perfect. It doesn't get any better than actual dimensions. Enjoy your family day

Wait so when the bitcoin difficulty hits the point when mining is nearly impossible bitcoin will die as nothing will confirm?
You don't seem to understand that difficulty is a function of network hashing rate. The difficulty increases as the network hashing rate gets larger in order to keep the block confirmation time at an average of ~ 10 minutes. It's not possible for the bitcoin difficulty to increase to a point where mining is impossible. The question was about miners going offline (specifically ALL miners except OP and his laptop). If that were the case, bitcoin would certainly die because it would never have a difficulty reset again and no blocks would be confirmed. The transaction backlog would increase exponentially as Bitcoiners scrambled to dump their coins for peanuts (to no avail of course since no transactions would be confirmed) and OP with his laptop would be essentially powerless to help. Bless his soul for trying. If his laptop could hash at 250 Mh/s (that's a decent laptop graphics card!), the next block would take up to 44,904,850 days to complete so even if we were only 1 block short of the 2016 required, you can see how frivolous this would be. The laptop would also die before the next block was ever mined (of course that is pure speculation).

It's not a scam. I played around with it using windows and an android smartphone. Once you download the app and scan the QR code on the screen, you are directed to a screen that gives you complete instructions on how to proceed. Ignoring those would end with you losing any coins you transferred. You need to agree by clicking a box that you have written down your 6 words passphrase but there is a png file on the left side that is barely legible. I tried to blow it up but it isn't clear enough to help. Here is the original: Initially I used ie and could not get the download backup link to work but later, I tried using firefox and the download works with firefox (as well as a convenient resize which is legible) but the pertinent information is missing now - guess you only get one shot! I can access the account with the 12 words even after deleting the app from my phone but in order to spend, I needed the 6 words passphrase. One thing I noticed was that the transaction fee seems to default to 0.0001 BTC. With the first account I created, I transferred in the equivalent of 74¢ and back out in two separate transactions; the second transaction amount was lower than the fee I was able to totally empty the account though which is nice. It's a pain in the ass having to enter the 6 words for every transaction - I only really had to do it twice but I got a lot of invalid key errors. Also you have to scan a QR code with your phone for each transaction. The error shows up in a text box on the lower left of the screen and barely lasts long enough to read... and sometimes not quite long enough. All in all, I'd say it's not a scam but it is certainly not an easy-to-use wallet. I'm going to look through the Github code and see if I can't determine where the 6 words are used and if it is possibly to recover the private keys with the 12 words based on BiP39. No promises though! How much do you have locked up in there?
