I can't really get a gauge on the size of that pendant from the image.  Perhaps the woman is petite but that pendant looks pretty large.
Can you place the pendant alongside something of known size for a comparison?  I too have cancer survivors in my family but I don't know that they would wear something quite so big as that appears.
How about a picture of it beside a ruler?

Sure can, its late in the evening here so it wont be tonight, but if you have a ruler handy the pendent is 60mm tall and 25mm wide. That woman (my wife) is very small. 5'2 & 100lbs soaking wet. She goes shopping in the kids section for clothes.

I'll work on pics next to a ruler tomorrow if my wife will let me sneak away for a bit to take them. Sunday is "family day" at our house and she usually frowns on me doing anything work related. I'm sure she will make an exception in this case though.

No, that's perfect.  It doesn't get any better than actual dimensions.
Enjoy your family day Wink

Wait so when the bitcoin difficulty hits the point when mining is nearly impossible bitcoin will die as nothing will confirm?

You don't seem to understand that difficulty is a function of network hashing rate.  The difficulty increases as the network hashing rate gets larger in order to keep the block confirmation time at an average of ~ 10 minutes.  It's not possible for the bitcoin difficulty to increase to a point where mining is impossible.

The question was about miners going offline (specifically ALL miners except OP and his laptop).  If that were the case, bitcoin would certainly die because it would never have a difficulty reset again and no blocks would be confirmed.  The transaction backlog would increase exponentially as Bitcoiners scrambled to dump their coins for peanuts (to no avail of course since no transactions would be confirmed) and OP with his laptop would be essentially powerless to help.  Bless his soul for trying.

If his laptop could hash at 250 Mh/s (that's a decent laptop graphics card!), the next block would take up to 44,904,850 days to complete so even if we were only 1 block short of the 2016 required, you can see how frivolous this would be. The laptop would also die before the next block was ever mined (of course that is pure speculation).

6886  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: I have my encrypted private key to my bitcoin wallet and ALL info (help recover) on: September 24, 2016, 05:30:39 PM
It's not a scam.  I played around with it using windows and an android smartphone.  Once you download the app and scan the QR code on the screen, you are directed to a screen that gives you complete instructions on how to proceed.  Ignoring those would end with you losing any coins you transferred.  You need to agree by clicking a box that you have written down your 6 words passphrase but there is a png file on the left side that is barely legible.  I tried to blow it up but it isn't clear enough to help. Here is the original:

Initially I used ie and could not get the download backup link to work but later, I tried using firefox and the download works with firefox (as well as a convenient resize which is legible) but the pertinent information is missing now - guess you only get one shot!

I can access the account with the 12 words even after deleting the app from my phone but in order to spend, I needed the 6 words passphrase.
One thing I noticed was that the transaction fee seems to default to 0.0001 BTC.  With the first account I created, I transferred in the equivalent of 74¢ and back out in two separate transactions; the second transaction amount was lower than the fee Wink  I was able to totally empty the account though which is nice.

It's a pain in the ass having to enter the 6 words for every transaction - I only really had to do it twice but I got a lot of invalid key errors.  Also you have to scan a QR code with your phone for each transaction. The error shows up in a text box on the lower left of the screen and barely lasts long enough to read... and sometimes not quite long enough.

All in all, I'd say it's not a scam but it is certainly not an easy-to-use wallet.  I'm going to look through the Github code and see if I can't determine where the 6 words are used and if it is possibly to recover the private keys with the 12 words based on BiP39.  No promises though!

How much do you have locked up in there?

Are these civet cats truly "wild" or are they caged?
Do you personally pick the coffee?
Do you have pictures?
Also,  if it is authentic wild kopi luwak can you pack the beans in a nitrogen atmosphere?

Thanks

its not caged, its wild..the coffe tree is our.. and every night there is civet eating it..

our coffe near " taman seblat kerinci " you can search on google..

also if the civet is caged maybe i can get more then 10kg per month ( only for a couple of month )
usualy i got only 5 Kg not roasted yet..

It would be awesome to see a picture of your coffee bushes.  Are they Arabica beans?

Okay I agree that it is funny but it should be in mining or mining speculation.  The bitcoin network would still be alive without miners but transactions would never be confirmed.
6893  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If everybody stops mining... on: September 23, 2016, 05:57:34 PM
Wrong place for this type of question.

Difficulty doesn't change until 2016 blocks are mined so you'd get squat with your laptop and Bitcoin would be over.
6894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GPU Coin - Full PoS - 15% on: September 23, 2016, 03:02:54 AM
So having heard nothing for a while from the founder I perused the dedicated GPUcoin website yet found nothing recent there save about 81 spammy posts from some user calling himself paterickfag.  Maybe I got left behind here and everyone else is hanging out somewhere on a GPUCoin smartphone app?  At any rate, I decided to get out while I could get still my mining investment back.  It was I who tanked the coin on Yobit today - yes I'm the idiot who bought the book this time.  Weak hands have left the building.

I actually made a little bit on this venture but it's not nearly enough to retire on (as I had hoped) so I'm going donate a tiny bit to a worthy charity.  I'm creating a bitcoin address that begins with 1GPUCoin from which I will send the coin.  I'm thinking in some way it will immortalize the existence of GPUcoin in the bitcoin blockchain.  I would appreciate suggestions for charities that accept Bitcoin.  I'll update here once the donation is sent.

New Hampshire is the "Live Free or Die" state.  This phrase was mandated to appear on all vehicle license plates by the state gov't.  I suppose it means give me liberty or give me death so has Poloniex just been executed by the state?

I don't think it is necessary to capitalize the word ice.  It is not an acronym.
This is an odd thread.
6897  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paxful CEO and CTO arrested! on: September 22, 2016, 07:52:11 PM
Are we talking for miami in florida? If yes then why the paxful website is not closed or paxful (I just checked the website and it is live at the moment ) and the arrested people are different! or the paxful service is not involved in this case?

The CEO and CTO plus one other guy associated with Paxful were charged with drug possession and posted bail.  So they are free at this time but they have yet to go to court to answer the charges.  The case is only related to Paxful through association with the alleged criminals.  It was not directly involved in the crimes.

same OP as this one (just translated):

I tried to quote it and post; I even removed the quote as it referred to you and still I see the invalid image proxy. Then I copied only the image links and tried to reply to the thread... no go!
The board has become smarter Wink

Don't do it.  Once you PM him he might rewrite your message to make it appear as though you are condoning some investment of his and post the rewritten quote in a self-moderated thread so that you can't protest the misuse of your name.  I've seen it before.
