We can't answer such question, only Satoshi can. We can just guess and really we had so many different topics on this forum with similar questions. I know that people are very curious about him and his idea behind bitcoin but we all should accept that we will never know all facts and truth about Satoshi. So, why we just can't accept it and move on with our lives? For me is more important Bitcoin and vision behind it. BItcoin belong to all of us and we are all part of the future. As we know, some people even refuse to use Internet banking or credit cards online.
Why?
Maybe because they don't believe in tehnology, Internet, don't trust security etc.
Also, recently we could see a lot negative posts about bitcoin in the media, many rumors, speculation etc.

In my opinion, much better solution will be temporary ban, maybe 30-90 days for a first mistake and permaban if plagiarism happen again.
Who's gonna do all that work? Keeping track of thousands of users and counting their mistakes? Permaban with a option to appeal is fine unless/until a more lenient but equally consistent approach is developed - e.g. permaban for ranks below Sr and permanent signature ban for Sr and above. Also, I would like to see the same respect toward young and old members on this forum.
I would like spam to stop. Please grant my wish and I'll grant yours. Until that happens I'll continue to disrespect shitposters regardless of their "age". It can be rule only for a new cases, or recent (last a 30 days for example). |

Everything has been resolved. The user broke the rule several times and has thus faced consequences. Stop wasting time with your "argued discussion". If you want to discuss what kind of consequence plagiarism should have, then go to a thread discussing that. I do not think that anybody have the right to abolish the freedom of speech here. All users have rights to express their opinions, whenever you like it or not. I don't think anything is resolved here. |

After reading all posts here I think it's time to change rules on this forum.
I think that ovcijisir, Branko, Trofo, cryptofrka and others very well explained why permaban is not good solution for plagiarism (based on RegulusHr case).
In my opinion, much better solution will be temporary ban, maybe 30-90 days for a first mistake and permaban if plagiarism happen again.
We don't need an exemptions but a new forum rule for plagiarism and I hope that theymos will consider it.
Also, I would like to see the same respect toward young and old members on this forum.
It's not important who is more famous or popular on this forum, or have more power or influence.
We should respect equally all users on this forum, and their opinions.
Finally, I'm not hungry for merits and don't care about it.
In fact, I'm another merit source.
I support RegulusHr because it's right thing to do.

Društvo. Regulus je upravo na meti pokrenuo topic Ban Appeal RegulusHr i zamolio da mu se oprosti permaban i da mu se vrati account. Sada je trenutak da se svi udružimo i pomognemo mu koliko možemo. Molim Vas uključite se u raspravu i podržite Regulusa, tako da admin i modovi vide koliku podršku ima na našem dijelu foruma. Ne možemo naravno znati hoće li naša podrška pomoći ali sigurno neće odmoći Uostalom i meni su bili govorili da nema šanse da postanem merit sourcer jer imam negativni trust DT člana ali nakon velike podrške koju sam dobio od svih vas u meti to se ipak dogodilo. Dakle, šansa uvijek postoji i treba pokušati. Mislim da je RegulusHr dobro argumentirao svoju molbu i da sada zaista treba našu punu podršku. |

@ReguluHr I looked through the post history of your profile and have discovered that almost all of your comments in Croatian and it is difficult to judge about their quality to majority of forum users. Nevertheless, I suppose if some reputable members from Croatian locale will confirm that you will bring more benefit to the forum if your ban would be cancelled, then the chances for successful appeal will increase possibly and you will receive a signature ban instead of a permanent ban. I'm member in Croatian forum and I an say that RegulusHr is well respected member in our local forum. He was first merit source and really helped many local members to get merit for good quality posts in croatian and to advance in the forum. He even organize first offline meeting between members in Croatia. We really enjoyed great time in the restaurant for the dinner and sharing and he paid for it. He is very kind member, always ready to help and support others. We really miss him a lot and want him back! Since he was main merit sourcer in our part of the forum, we lost also in this way. Yes, he made one mistake but is anybody perfect here, without any mistake? Please mods forgive his mistake and restore his account. In the coming posts you will see great support he have among croatian members on this forum. |

In fact, never invest any money in the market or trade which you can't afford to loose.
It's very simple logic, really.
Any market comes with risk.
It was nice to see btc price jumping very high in the recent years but it was naive to expect that such trend will last forever.
Much better strategy is to cash out profit and play with the rest of money.

would you open a loan to buy the dip? and when it dips again you would open up another loan to buy the dip. and lets say repeat the process. probably no one is doing this. because being in debt is a bad thing. just depends on far u would invest into bitcoin or even crypto currency. sad it has to dip in the first place.
No, I will never do such thing. Any market and trading is huge risk. We should invest only money we can afford to loose. I made such mistake once, when I opened a loan in order to buy shares from well known, stable company in the stock market, leader in the market. On the end I lost money and I will never do again something like this. |

Ako ovo sa Regulusom ne završi kako bi svi voljeli a ti svoj posao budeš nastavio da radiš kako treba onda možeš tražiti od theymosa direktno ili preko Mete da ti poveča broj merita za dijeliti iz razloga što je Regulusove zalihe nestalo i 25 sMerita je ništa.
Da, razmišljao sam da to napravim ali ću ipak prvo pričekati rasplet situacije sa Regulusom. Iskreno, theymos nikada nije odgovorio ni na jednu moju poruku pa možda budem pokrenuo onda novi topic u meti kada dođe vrijeme za to. I ja sam razmišljao o istome, 25 merita je puno premalo za našu lokalnu sekciju. Ne znam da li znaš ali merit bi ti se trebao obnavljati kako si ga trošio. Znači dobiti ćeš nakon mjesec dana onoliko merita koliko si dao prvi dan (npr. 2) pa onda sljedeći i tako po redu. Nije da ih prvoga dobiješ 25 i onda ništa. A možda ti theymos i sam po sebi poveća u sljedećem koraku. U svakom slučaju nadam se da će se situacija s Regulsom rješiti pozitivno. A i mislim da je bolje za forum da imamo jednog izvora merita koji sam traži postove i drugog kojem se možemo javiti. Baš je bila dobra kombinacija šteta što je trajala 1 dan. Siguran sam da će se situacija pozitivno završiti samo se moramo angažirati da dokažemo kako je Regulus bio cjenjen član zajednice i pomagao nam na lokalnom forumu. Ne trebamo očajavati nego se sjetiti svega pozitivnog i korisnog što je Regulus doprinijeo na forumu kako bismo to lijepo prezentirali na meti, ukoliko mu prije toga ne vrate account. Upravo tako, potpuno se slažem. Danas sam se ponovno čuo sa Regulusom. Ni nakon 4 dana još uvijek nije dobio odgovor na svoju žalbu upućenu emailom. Kada uhvati vremena otvorit će temu na meti i tamo se žaliti i zamoliti vraćanje accounta. Kada to napravi javit će mi pa ću vas obavijestiti ovdje tako da se svi onda možemo angažirati i dati mu maksimalnu podršku na meti. Iz toga će se vidjeti koliku podršku ima u našoj zajednici i to admini neće moći tek tako zanemariti, uvjeren sam u to. |

Mali update od Regulusa... Držimo fige da mu žalba prođe. Pozitivno stvar je da mu je theymos povečao broj sMerita koje može podjelit što znači da je to radio pravilno i odgovorno. Ako je to jedini post gdje mu se je omaklo pa da ga je kopirao onda je i to neka prednost. S druge strane, i na žalost, očekujte paljbu po njemu u Meti čim se ukaže na copy/pasting. @Daniel91 Ako ovo sa Regulusom ne završi kako bi svi voljeli a ti svoj posao budeš nastavio da radiš kako treba onda možeš tražiti od theymosa direktno ili preko Mete da ti poveča broj merita za dijeliti iz razloga što je Regulusove zalihe nestalo i 25 sMerita je ništa. A ono, pričamo o čovjeku koji je dobio novce od Mladena za one viceve i onda je pozvao forum na cugu jer je smatrao da je tako bolje.
Stvarno mi je nevjerojatno da se ovo događa, ali isto tako je i realno za očekivati da nikog neće biti previše briga za 'nekog lika s lokalnog foruma neke zemlje za koju nismo nikad čuli'.
Ne mora značiti da je sve izgubljeno za Regulusa. Ako dobro obrazloži svoju žalbu i posta je u meti, i ako dobije veliku podršku naše zajednice, vjerujem da ima šansu da dobije oprost i da mu se obnovi account. Evo, za primjer, pogledajte moj ''slučaj''. Dok se nisam prijavio za merit sourcera to nisam ni znao, ali eto ispalo je da nitko tko ima red trust od DT člana ne može postati merit sourcer, odnosno da se takav slučaj još nije dogodio na forumu. Ovo je 1 od mnogih postova u tom topicu u Meti gdje su me jasno upozorili na tu činjenicu i govorili da nemam nikakvu šansu da postanem merit sourcer ako mi DT član ne povuče negativni trust: Coolcryptovator I don't think there is any red trusted merit source, I am not sure because we don't know all the merit source. Correct me if I am wrong. As far as I know previous applicant wasn't with red tag those application approved. After be a merit source if someone get red tag that's different case. I don't think theymos going to consider it if applicant's is untrusted by default trust. It's just my opinion, who know about admin mind. Iskreno, nakon svih tih upozorenja i posebno nakon pomalo neugodne rasprave (barem meni) koja je nakon toga uslijedila u tom topicu sa Iluvbitcoin-om zaista nisam više vjerovao da imam ikakvih šansi da postanem sourcer. No, dobio sam jako veliku podršku svih vas, iz naše lokalne zajednice a podržali su me i mnogi drugi, neutralni članovi foruma. Istovremeno sam argumentirano objasnio što je zapravo pozadina priče iza negativnog trusta i iznio svoju stranu priče. Koliko sam vidio, nakon što sam iznio svoje argumente, većina se složila da je taj negativni trust neopravdan i da ne bi trebao biti prepreka mojem promoviranju u merit sourcera. No, ostalo je ''visjeti u zraku'' da je takva situacija neuobičajena i da nitko ne zna za slučaj da netko sa negativnim trustom postane sourcer. Očigledno je da je theymos pažljivo pročitao raspravu, sve argumente i donio zaključak koji je bio u moju korist. S obzirom na to, mislim da i Regulus nije bez šanse. Ako mu svi, kao lokalna zajednica, damo svoju podršku, i stanemo iza njega, i ako njegova žalba bude dobro argumentirana, vjerujem da postoji dobra šansa da Regulusa vratimo nazad. |
