7521  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Zbirni topic za davanje merita za kvalitetne postove on: May 31, 2018, 07:27:12 PM

7524  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you approve this strategy: sell alts buy btc? on: May 31, 2018, 08:55:24 AM
I first earned some bitcoin through paid work.
After that, I invested some part of btc funds in other crypto currencies in order to diversify my investment.
It's true that btc is still the main entry point for many new users and usually if btc price go up, alts prices also go up and if btc price go down, alts price also go down.
So, it looks there is no so much difference if you have everything in bitcoin only, or also if you invested in more crypto currencies.
It's my experience, any way.
7525  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversify Investments on: May 31, 2018, 08:46:37 AM
We have to understand that any investment is risk.
So, the best advice to young investors, without much experience, is to never invest money you can't afford to loose.
Other smart advice is ''don't put all eggs in one basket'' or diversify investments.
I think it's good idea also to invest in regular, stock market, not only crypto.

7526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin isn't a legit currency. on: May 31, 2018, 08:39:54 AM
Because, there is no bank, government or legal regulation behind bitcoin.
I don't think that countries, governments or banks will accept bitcoin if there is no law or regulation about bitcoin.
In my country, you can't report earnings from bitcoin, because it's not currency or financial assets according to central bank.
We can report only income from fiat money, when we exchange btc funds.
7527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: May 31, 2018, 08:35:58 AM
We have so many questions about him but nobody can answer you.
We don't know his true identity, his motives behind bitcoin, nothing...
So, we can just guess.
For me personally, Satoshi Nakamoto probably was man with vision how to change the world and give opportunity to the ''average people'' to become financially free and get rid from the banks Smiley
For me, it's enough.
7528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are joking about Bitcoin on: May 31, 2018, 08:32:31 AM
I don't care about people who joke now about bitcoin.
I'm only concerned about end result, what will happen with bitcoin in 5 or 10 years.
If I heard about bitcoin back in 2009 i could already make fortune and become millionaire but I still believe that bitcoin have great potential.
It's not important who make jokes now but who will make jokes on the end Smiley
7529  Other / Off-topic / Re: Money for school fees. Invested in bitcoin. on: May 31, 2018, 08:24:58 AM
Hi there! I just need your advice. I invested the money instead of paying my school fees. Yeah, i know this is wrong because education is more important to us and it can't be stealed from us, i'm still studying but my fees will be doubled on the next payment. But i believe this will end a good result. What do you think about this ? Your advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

It was very risky decision.
If you really need money urgently, you could find some real, concrete work and earn that money.
You should never invest money you can't afford to loose.
It's the most important lesson in investments.
7530  Economy / Economics / Re: I almost lost my rock solid regular job because of crypto on: May 30, 2018, 06:19:55 PM
Like the title says, i almost lost my regular job as a software developer today when my boss reviewed my work. The job has been able to economically provide a comfortable life for me and losing it would really be a big hit to my income. I almost lost it because i spent so much time learning about everything crypto (mining, trading, bounties, etc.).

Has anyone else experienced this? I just feel pretty lucky I was given another chance and want to remind other people that having a regular job is much better than relying on the volatility of cryptocurrencies. Make sure you prioritize your work!

It's exactly my advice to many young people around me (inspired with btc and crypto), without much experience in the market and crypto.
Keep your regular job and do other staff in your free time.
Never quit job or sell house because of bitcoin.
It's crazy.
Guys, please be smart.
7531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are still buying Bitcoin? on: May 30, 2018, 06:12:36 PM
Because they believe in bitcoin.
It's kind of faith, let's say.
For many of them, bitcoin is hope for the better future, for financial freedom.
7532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does bitcoin have value? on: May 30, 2018, 06:10:53 PM
Anything have value if somebody is willing to buy Smiley
I think that the most people see bitcoin as kind of investment and buying with hope to make profit in the long term.
7533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more risky? Bitcoin or bank investment? on: May 30, 2018, 06:06:29 PM
Bitcoin is indeed risky. But bank investments are risky too. In our country (coz I'm not sure if this exist in other countries). When you have a large amount on your account they will call you and ask you if you want to invest, minimum of 20,000 Php (or 400 USD). They will propose some investment plans where there is a choice of low, medium, or high risk investment. When you choose the high risk there is a chance to lose or gain 100% of your investment (Medium is 75% and low is 50% if I remember it right). It doesn't make sense to me, it sounds like a scam, they will invest using your money and you don't have any control to it. That is why I like bitcoin more, coz Though it is risky and it's very volatile, you have full control on your investment.

What do you guys think?

I don't think that any ''serious'' bank will offer you investment with 100% return.
In my country, you can also invest some money through bank, in markets but they don't give any advice.
It's completely your own decision where and how to invest.
What is more risky?
Any investment in the market, stock or crypto, is risk.
7534  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Nagrađujem kvalitetne postove on: May 30, 2018, 06:01:50 PM

Već si dobio merit za post koji si predložio u ovom topicu.
Pričekao bih još malo, da se prvo netko novi javi, a onda ću proglasiti početak ''drugog kruga'' podjele merita, kada će se svi moći ponovno javiti.
7535  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy in your country on: May 29, 2018, 03:46:15 PM
Economic situation in Croatia is very bad.
No structural reforms, large bureaucracy, corruption, large numbers of young people leaving the country etc.
We are lucky that Croatia is in EU otherwise situation will be much worse, I think.
The biggest problem is political clientele.
Politicians ruined everything Sad
The business climate is very bad and we are the worst in terms of business competitiveness in EU.

7536  Economy / Economics / Re: Choosing the one | What I think! - Real Job or Full Time Crypto! on: May 29, 2018, 03:38:47 PM
It's very simple choice for me.
For now, I choose my real job.
It's to risky to depend only on bitcoin or crypto.
When bitcoin, hopefully, grow to, let's say $ 100 000 I will quit my job, repay the mortgage in the bank and live freely, doing what I like in life.
To do something like this now it will be crazy.
7537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are still buying Bitcoin? on: May 29, 2018, 03:12:30 PM
Because of hope.
Ordinary people can't become rich in the ordinary way.
We know that we are not smart enough to build some successful business, or to trade successfully in the stock market, or lucky enough to win the lottery.
So, for the most people, bitcoin is their ''ticket'' for the better life Smiley

7538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto replace fiat money? on: May 29, 2018, 02:57:24 PM
I don't think it will ever happen.
For example, in the real, business world, you are buying some products or services for your company.
You have to receive bill, pay for it, pay vat, contact your accounting company, bank etc.
If anything went wrong, you can contact lawyer, bank, other company or go to the court.
With bitcoin you can't do something like this.
There is no regulation, no legal protection, no bank behind it etc.
If someone cheat you, it's nothing you can do it about it.
No way real business world or world governments will ever accept bitcoin for the real business or everyday life.
7539  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if you lose 7500 Bitcoins worth 79 MILLION $ !!??? on: May 29, 2018, 02:47:34 PM
This happened to James Howells ,a computer specialist in crypt-currency . He actually lost 7500 Bitcoins in 2009, which today equates to about 79 million of dollars : So here's the full story : back in 2009 James was already interested in Bitcoin and had managed to mine 7 500 Bitcoins in just one week. But at that time it wasn't really an incredible performance. Then he put aside his hard drive, and forgot it.
In 2013, the price of Bitcoin increased, crossing the threshold is 100 dollars. James then searched for his hard drive, the one on which were the private keys opening the access to the portfolio containing the Bitcoins. Unfortunately, he recalled getting rid of it , he said : '' In 2009, I mined over 7 500 coins in a single week. Four years later, I put two hard disks in a desk drawer. One was empty, while the other contained my private BTC keys. I was planning to throw out the empty drive – and I accidentally threw the one that contained the information opening access to my Bitcoins. »
Grin Grin Grin  Huh Huh Huh Huh
So guys keep all your altcoins in safer place, it might be the next Bitcoin .

It's tragic story really.
I also remember another, funny story when one delivery boy received 1 btc for single pizza because man didn't have cash at the moment.
It happened also long time ago.
There are many such stories.
Many times we feel that something has no value but sometimes we are wrong.
7540  Economy / Speculation / Re: Someone pumped the price of BTC Today: approx 250 USD on: May 29, 2018, 02:40:44 PM
This pump took the ALTS into the green!
I have heard it would require 20 Billion to do a pump like this.
They did it when the RSI hit 30 and created a perfect storm to support the market to go up!
I believe these guys are banking on the market going up and then they will SELL pulling the rug from under our feet.
I believe these are the same guys that started the momentum to the 10,000 USD and then realized it couldn’t be broken and then started to dump causing BTC to go down to 7K. These guys are up to the same game again!
I smell Soros: This is his style!

I don't agree with you.
$250 is not so big change in the btc price and wse still can't say that trend changed.
Bitcoin struggle already half year to pass $9 000 and $ 10 000 limit.
We can talk now more about stagnation, not pump.
Soros and bitcoin?
I don't think that he is interested in bitcoin.
He invest in the stock markets.
