I hope that the epidemics in the Europe will hit its peak next 2 or 4 weeks, then we will have better condition.
Better to hope that the peak is happening right now. If things continue like that, after 2 weeks the number will be somewhere between 50k-100k in every country (Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, UK...) and maybe a million at least in Europe. If the peak will be happens after 2-4 weeks, i don't want to imagine the number of contamination nor the death ratio!

I LOL'd so hard while reading  Grin Grin https://twitter.com/EwanMacKenna/status/1238417399872917504

Obviously, the teams having a shit season want it to get void. One is fighting to get out of the relegation zone and the other one just keeps playing garbage football week in and week out.

It won’t happen, there are too many ramifications -

  • Who gets relegated
  • Who gets promoted
  • Who gets into European football for next season CL & EL

The season will continue in a month or two, I think Euro 2020 will get moved to next year now.

You can’t stop Liverpool winning the title, you can’t pull Leicester out of likely CL qualification. You can’t say to Leeds & West Brom that they aren’t going to go up.

It’d be too much of a mess to cancel the season, I think it will get finished.
A delay for few weeks until the situation will be more clear.
European politicians said hard words lately about the number of potential infections and death. News popping about players being positive and even a president...
First week of April will answer many questions tho
6883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 12, 2020, 11:30:41 PM
i guess after this weekend games the decision will be made to postpone it

I strongly doubt any match would hold this weekend, it will be absurd for the FA to continue the premier knowing fully that it'll be endangering players, staffs and the public health at large, the least they could is an immediately suspension, which should last for about 2 weeks just to assess all other options.
I was expecting the same thing especially after the suspension of Serie A and La Liga but until now there is no decision taken, i even read in an article that the games will go ahead.

3 Leicester players so far have Corona virus symptoms, and are in isolation but they are not confirmed positive yet.
Some articles are misleading, kind of playing with the words and don't precise the timing of said info. I remember reading in one of it that "after Leicester, now Arsenal is touched by Covid-19". I thought that the 3 players are infected (confirmed positive), it turns to be in self-isolation....
6884  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here is why the market is still bearish (nothing to do with the Corona virus) on: March 12, 2020, 11:19:12 PM
All markets worldwide are crashing badly right now, some of it the worst for decades. That virus is having a huge underestimated impact, in addition to lockdown in some places, some people avoiding to buy anything online, big whales taking some profit and other people trying to get some FIAT liquidity... It is very complex.
I see that a drop in the price is always profitable so people can purchase at a lower rate before the halving and the recovery of the markets after few weeks
6885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 12, 2020, 11:11:44 PM
Damn, Arteta is positive on Corona virus
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/sport/amp/football/51865442

Here is Arsenal statement too
https://www.arsenal.com/news/club-statement-covid-19

They will definitely have to reconsider previous decision to keep on with the EPL.
The EPL will be suspended soon, Arsenal but also some Leicester players are infected. Both teams should be quarantined, i guess after this weekend games the decision will be made to postpone it
6886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 12, 2020, 11:08:35 PM
As for now 2 big matches are postponed🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Manchester City – Real Madrid 🇪🇸 and
🇮🇹 Juventus – Olympique Lyonnais 🇫🇷, with no new date...

https://twitter.com/UEFA/status/1238135890628706308

Yeah, this Champions is already over it will be canceled with no winners IMHO and money given to teams by some coefficients.

L’Équipe is also reporting something similar.. Would be devastating if this really becomes true, but every day that passes, it looks more likely.

Next Tuesday, UEFA is set to announce the temporary suspension of the Champions League and Europa League as well as the postponement of the Euros to summer 2021. The domestic leagues should also be suspended, although they're not directly related to UEFA [@lequipe]

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1238121323487870976
Only sad news nowadays for real, i am still wondering why they are delaying the announcement, it is obvious that postponing CL & EL will take place today or tomorrow. Better to fix a temporary dates after 1 and 1/2 month..
6887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: March 12, 2020, 11:02:32 PM
Manchester United Basel Leverkusen and Shakhtar all comfortably won their matches and going with good advantages in next matches at home.
Confortable win for Man United, Basel and Leverkusen but Shakhtar 2-1 isn't that comfy.
Hope that next matches gonna take place really with sad news about infected players from different leagues  Undecided
6888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 12, 2020, 05:28:17 PM
Bouncing here in Italy news about 3 players (probably from Leicester) positive to COVID-19.

Gazzetta is talking about it, https://www.gazzetta.it/
Unconfirmed whether they have coronavirus or not. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51856906

Damn, Rodgers just confirmed a couple of injured players (Maddison and Pereira) and now 3 players are being sidelined...Very unlikely that Leicester will get to play this weekend vs Watford. Suspension of the PL is getting closer and closer.
Hmm we can say that we have 24 hours before finding out that EPL is postponed too... Damn, stay at home without watching sport nor new films, what a mess...
6889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: March 12, 2020, 05:23:42 PM
Is there any official confirmation of this news?
It's been confirmed by La Liga and the president of the Spanish Football Federation: https://www.marca.com/futbol/primera-division/2020/03/12/5e6a1100ca474112418b45d4.html

So sad right now  Cry But it's for the best. Well, another league down and many more games that i won't get to add my weekly slip bets.
Read that news sadly today and heard rumors that UEFA Champions League and Europa League will be postponed also or even cancelled.
I don't know about other leagues but expect the French one will be next or maybe EPL...
Real Madrid is in quarantine BTW
6890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 11, 2020, 10:48:23 PM
They do not deserve the win man!

They deserve every bit of it. Defending is as much the art as attacking is. It may not look as dashing as scoring goals but conceding only 2 goals out of 11 shots on target (34 goal attempts) is outrageous. This maybe one of the best performance I have seen in recent times. Both central defenders, Oblak, Thomas, Lodi, Koke, Saul and especially Lorrente deserved every bit of this win.
Well didn't expect tonight results at all. Thought Liverpool could make it with 2 goals which partiality happened before the extended time!?!
Respect for ATM but also for PSG which turned the table in Dortmund face...
6891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: March 11, 2020, 05:22:34 PM
Getafe won't travel to Italy for the Europa League game versus Inter Milan.

https://www.marca.com/en/football/spanish-football/2020/03/11/5e681e18ca4741f4498b4577.html

Roma are not permited to enter Spain so they won't be able to play versus Sevilla

https://twitter.com/ASRomaEN/status/1237715671229833216

The best two games in the 'Round of 16' are on the verge of getting postponed  Undecided What are we supposed to watch/bet on? LASK vs Man Utd? Frankfurt vs Basel? Olympiacos vs Wolves? :/

EDIT* both games have been postponed!!!  Shocked
Yeah read that Getafe owner refused to travel to Italy even if his team will be considered as forfeited and i respect such behavior. I mean the safety of the team is the most important and he already asked to change the stadium but UEFA refused. Such situation should be anticipated by UEFA and the game should take place in a "safe" zone for both teams without specs obviously...

Edit: BTW I wonder know if Wolves already whined or not about Olympiacos' Corona Case?
6892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 11, 2020, 02:03:09 PM
I'm sure that Juve and Lazio will do a strong opposition if they want to do playoff cause Inter is 9 points away maybe 6 if they win the missing game.

Also, I think they can accept a 2 teams playoff.
They can do nothing in the actual situation. Best thing that they could hope of, is to resume playing in April.
Serie A is at risk to be cancelled this year, all depends from the number of contamination whether it will regress or not by the end of March...
6893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 11, 2020, 01:57:39 PM
How is it possible that Olympiacos' incident for Coronavirus affect the game between Manchester City and Arsenla?
Olympiacos had a match with Arsenal but the owner of Olympiacos wasn't on the pitch interacting with other players.
Hypothesis:
- owner interacted with Arsenal staff and/or players directly or not.
- owner interacted with Olympiacos's players/managers (eventually contaminated) which interacted with Arsenal ones.
- no one of the above, but normally whole Arsenal team should be checked if anyone of them is carrying the virus or not or get isolated for 14 days, starting from the date of the game which normally ends tomorrow!
6894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 10, 2020, 10:08:41 PM
yep, Atalanta scored twice in first half, both goals from penalty spot, now it is too hard for Valencia to pass through, they need six goals, or five more to the one that is already scored, it will be unbelievable
Totally we have large scores after two games : Leipzig 4-0 Spurs and Atalanta 8-4 Valencia!
But tomorrow games are more interesting, waiting for the revenge of Liverpool but PSG one isn't obvious since Dortmund is a good team
Expecting +2 goals for Liverpool and a draw between Dortmund and PSG
6895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 09, 2020, 10:29:57 PM
Leicester vs Aston Villa tonight, should be a good game. Leicester desperately trying to stay in the CL places & need 3 points whilst Villa are really needing a win to get out of the bottom 3. Something has to give so looking forward to watching this one.

I don't think it will be a good for Aston Villa. I think Leicester will not have much difficulty.
I am sure that Leicester will take 3 points. It is an important match because City's ban from UEFA challenges.
Aston Villa are also trying their possible best not to go to relegation,  you can't just write them off like that
Leicester was defeated by Norwich city who are currently seating at the bottom of the table
I think this game might end up in a draw, or Leicester might struggle to win, that's if Aston Villa doesn't play up to expectations
Well Leicester punished Aston Villa with 4 goals, 3 of it in 22 minutes. Didn't watch the game since i am busy watching Corona raping the world (and Serie A postponed BTW), but i assume that it wasn't that hard for Leicester with a 66% possession.
6896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 09, 2020, 10:24:04 PM
It seems that with the new law active from tomorrow no games can be played in Italy (still need confirmation but is very plausible).

So the game

Juve-Lyon

and for Europa League

Roma Siviglia
Inter Getafe

It cannot be played in Italy.
Keep in mind this is not official but probable.
I do not think anyone will risk going to Italy from now on (except its citizens obviously) and the government will not be able to take any responsibility either of what can happen.
+ playing without spectators is a huge loss so...
6897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 09, 2020, 10:17:05 PM
Now officially, a lockdown by the law was forced in Italy and basically everything entertaining is closed (stadium, theaters...). Gambling you said Tongue, i think this is just the beginning and other countries will follow.
Economy is crippled! A devastating loss in stock markets, travel agencies, aviation services, movie theaters, museums. What may save gambling services is the presence of the online part definitely!
Someone may also invest on this : how many people will be declared infected tomorrow? X1, X1.5, X2? Place your bet!!
6898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 09, 2020, 10:08:30 PM
RECOMMENDING

Yeah was basically official anyway now is official.

All Italy is in RedZone by law, everything public is in shutdown till 03/04/2020. (Sports too)
The Prime minister said it will go on official ledger this evening and it will be law from tomorrow.

I hope everyone in Europe will do the same ASAP.

Can move only for work.
I knew this will happen and it is a matter of time... All Italy is quarantined, no gathering, no sport, school, cinema, even moving from a village to another will require authorization until the third of April, at least! Everyone breaking these rules will be jailed!
Just wonder know which league will follow and what about Champions/Europa Leagues?
6899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 09, 2020, 12:51:52 PM
The 25 point difference between rank 1 and 2 is a very significant, maybe in the 32nd week if LFC wins against Man City will ensure the EPL title this season.
Never "underestimate" City Tongue, they can lose the next couple games and Liverpool can have the title in March maybe?
6900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: March 09, 2020, 12:47:21 PM
I have to admit it was a disappointing performance from Madrid.
Like i have always reiterated, Madrid has been inconsistent and that has been their own undoing.

It remains to be seen, if they can turn around their champions league tie against City at the etihad
It is hard to understand Real Madrid performance for real! Sometimes winning VS big teams while losing VS weaker teams...
Now they missed the first rank with 2 points from Barcelona and if we add the fact that the next couple games are harder for Real Madrid than Barca then returning to the first spot in March is not obvious, unless Barca screwed it badly!
