Fantastic game, it was spectacular. Atletico players and Simeone once again are showing that when it comes to determination they know exactly what it means.

History has a way of repeating itself but many thought it'll be impossible since Liverpool at anfield were previously impossible to defeat. They all forgot, Diego Simeone has never lost a champion league knockout stage game that doesn't feature Christian Ronaldo and that record still stand.

Liverpool fans should just thank God that Manchester city and other potential contenders for the title have just been poor this season if not the possibility of Gerrarding the title would had been in discussion assuming if the race  was like last season.

L’Équipe is also reporting something similar.. Would be devastating if this really becomes true, but every day that passes, it looks more likely.

Next Tuesday, UEFA is set to announce the temporary suspension of the Champions League and Europa League as well as the postponement of the Euros to summer 2021. The domestic leagues should also be suspended, although they're not directly related to UEFA [@lequipe]

Only sad news nowadays for real, i am still wondering why they are delaying the announcement, it is obvious that postponing CL & EL will take place today or tomorrow. Better to fix a temporary dates after 1 and 1/2 month..

It was such a pity to see Liverpool crashing out of the Uefa Champions League this season, after witnessing how Liverpool demolished all of the English Premier League teams this season, I was hoping to see Liverpool progressing into the finals in the Uefa Champions League this season, but Atletico Madrid did played really well in the extra time to beat Liverpool at the stadium of Anfield.

Football matches aren't won by statistics as there're different strategy to win a matches. A team might decide to sit deep to defend and counter attack their opponents when the opportunity presents itself resulting to them most likely winning the game. Atl Madrid are known for doing exactly that. That Liverpool dominated most stats is mostly due to the fact Atl Madrid allowed them to.

Concerning @Barcode statement, That Liverpool dominated the premier doesn't mean they should be the favorite to win the champion league. These are two different tournament with different atmosphere. Don't also forget, Watford destroyed they said demolishers you speak off.

@Cryptobrainboss you're absolutely right and again statistics give you an expected outcome. Liverpool and no team in the world are expected to go unbeaten, so Liverpool are paying for all their streaks now, which makes statistics normal in the end.

I guess everybody runs out of steam eventually but the problem was they had Karius in the 2 seasons ago and Adrian in this season. There are so many funds at stake ranging from sponsorship to ticket fees, and this is one reason why the league will get postponed and not canceled.

Rather, i will prefer the postponement of the euro too,

If liverpool keeper Adrian doesn't make it as silly as possible liverpool will win against Athletico Madrid for having led 2-0 in extra time, but bad luck lies with the Liverpool goalkeeper making liverpool players off guard with the error and I think this is clearly Adrian's funny mistake .

From defense to attackers liverpool players are very good at processing balls and kicks but Oblak is able to save his goal well.

And Liverpool are also not a team that dominates when it comes to possession, they are mostly an all out attack team, relying mostly on plenty of crosses. Atheletio made them dominate possession just as you said, they(Athletico)love to sit back, tighten up their defense and are decisive in attack, this presented a field day for Liverpool to dominate the possession and boss the game.

To be fair to Liverpool, they should have won the game, they were the better team and should have scored more goals than Athletico, but in football a second can change anything, sadly Adrian turned out to be the villain at the end of the day as Diego simeone and his men progressed. Liverpool have only the EPL to win now, not as successful as they would have wanted I'm sure.

Those two matches are the most interesting ones in this round.
I hope that the postponement is not going to impact the results of those games and consider that an external factor is going to specify the outcome of those matches

Then, one month after serious actions implemented (as we saw in China, and South Korea), things will become better. Worse than this I doubt it.Italy is in full quarantine and has declared all country as a red zone.They are allowed to go out only for really life needing task like buy food or go to the pharmacy.The government has come out with some economic measures to pay each person 500 Euro as long as they stay home and don’t go to work.Also they will pay the companies everything during this time.Austria did the same will pay 4 billion Euros in order to keep every one home and going out only for necessities.
