got me some dip

Looking like it’s taking a double dip now. I imagine quite a bit of leverage is getting wrung from the system as we speak. Hopefully we don’t see it dip too far into the 50s or things might start sending people into panic mode. I don’t think we’re there yet though. Less than 20% is barely even a correction in Bitcoinland.  Smiley

I personally bought from the forum all of the grin received, at the market price when it was received: 80.128295191 grin for 0.0118213 BTC. Not my most successful trade... Wink

Still beats the deal you made with Slickage.
6903  Other / Meta / Re: Scam Projects should be moderated on: November 15, 2021, 09:07:45 PM
Good luck with that. Every project on this forum gets labeled as a scam by some lunatic regardless of if it is true or not. Not to mention that the most paid advertising on this forum is done by a company that’s main usage is for scammers to launder their stolen funds. It’s hard to blame them for taking the not moderating scams position though. At one point in time it would have been a massive amount of effort to look into all the projects being developed on this forum. Not so much anymore.

Bulls vs Lakers should be a good one tonight. I unfortunately won’t be able to watch, but I’ll be awaiting the highlight reel. Maybe it’s nostalgia, but I love it whenever these two teams match up against each other. With how hot the Bulls have been lately I think the Lakers have their hands full, but they should be getting LeBron back soon so hopefully they are ready to switch gears and go on a winning streak. I think the Bulls might get them tonight though.

We seem to have reached the point where it’s time for Bitcoin to shock the world again. Everyone seems to be calling for a 50% rise in the next 2 weeks. I’m here for it and so are my coins. I’m a little worried that so many people are expecting the same thing. I hope it’s a think into existence scenario and not a maximum market pain scenario.

Playing Devil’s advocate… All the posts seem to have legitimate content and seem to be providing some sort of value to the forum as well as being in the appropriate section. I’m not sure what the complaint is after reading the heavily merited OP. That people are providing too many news articles? I could see if you were posting legitimate news links and then someone blindly posted the same subject, but if the press links are legitimate and not duplicates, should we not be thanking the people posting them?
How do you feel when see a user called 'waybesuricata' making posts continuously? Sharing potential news posts isn't bad, but doesn't mean we should create multiple threads for each short of news. They are just getting news from a site and sharing it here. What's the problem if you merge all today's news to one thread and add the link. So the reader could click the link to read desired news. That's the issue. One or more news sites just spamming with their links. As a result, a few potential news went down and down.

I am curious, did you read all the news provided by waybesuricata? If not who are reading actually?

How do I feel about it? I guess appreciative that someone is taking the time to document all these articles for the forum.

It seems like it’s being done that way so that if people want to search for specific articles or dates they can easily. Just a guess. I have no idea what the motivation is.

I haven’t read many articles from that section. The only time I ever end up there is when I’m searching for something specific.

What a ballgame between the Hornets and the Warriors. Hornets though edging the favourite Warriors by 4 points

It was Terry Rozier who provided solid offense down the stretch. They've limited Curry to just 24 points and not his usual shooting night. So Warriors winning streak was snapped today. I thought that Warriors are going to cover the spread -8.5 or at least force a OT, but Rozier out jump Green in the jump ball.

Steph Curry had an off night. It happens. I think the young guys gave him a little bit of trouble. Wiggins played well though and has shown a lot of improvement since joining the Warriors. Last year you saw it in his defense but this year you’re really seeing him get more comfortable with the ball and taking over the offense. I can’t wait to see what this team looks like when Wiseman and Thompson come back.

You don't see people wearing shirts that say "I have a lot of cash in my wallet" (Unless you are at a strip club)

-Dave

You sort of do… You see old ladies with hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewelry on their fingers. These things would be much easier to steal than someone’s crypto who has taken appropriate precautions in my opinion, but you rarely hear about these types of thefts… I’m not saying you should run around screaming you’re rich, but I don’t think people should fear wearing a Bitcoin shirt. Maybe a lot of this depends on where you live. Some neighborhoods it isn’t safe to have $50, where other places you could leave a Lamborghini running unattended without fear.

What about the users who don't want to have their activity exposed? Have you thought about it?

I know I can't really say, it's personal, but it is a bit to me. It's part of my privacy
Without debating on the social side it can have, because it's something else and I'm not concerned, but someone else can be

You won't be able to work as a cop. Imagine, you snitch everybody who snitched  Cheesy

no hard feelings

Your privacy isn't something that the forum worries about.  You have to remember you're the product here, not the customer.  Your activity will be displayed in the way that will most benefit the forum, not you.  Not the way I think it should be, but any other answer would just be wrong.  People can even go as far as to dox you and make up stories to try and have you targeted by police agencies or vigilantes without any recourse.  It's sad, but it all comes back to us being the product and not the customer.  There was once a time when that wasn't the case, but those days are long gone.
6911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 14, 2021, 02:20:47 AM
I suppose that the biggest game of the night was Golden State Warriors v Chicago Bulls. GSW are the team that have started in the best way to the season among all teams. They lost only once before this game in 10 games. And Bulls also started in a very solid way after renovating their roster. To be honest, I was expecting a quite competitive game here. But it turned out that GSW gained a quite comfortable victory by a 26-point difference (119-93). And Stephen Curry was at another level again by scoring 40 points. He continues to carry his team to victories.

It is just amazing to see that GSW has been continuously developing their players every game. You can see actually the improvement of these players as they slowly showcased their talents through building their confidence on the ring.

This game is truly a testament to what other teams should be wary about. Without Klay and Wiseman, the Warriors are continuously proving to other teams that they are indeed, the best team right now. Curry is just phenomenal to watch and that game showed a vintage Iguodala on the making!

It was great seeing Steph Curry become the all time leader in made 3 pointers.  I think everyone has considered him the best long range shooter that basketball has ever seen for quite some time now, but seeing him begin extending his gap over #2 Ray Allen in the record books is something else.  He's still relatively young to be the all time leader in anything.  I have a feeling he's going to be smashing that record into pieces before he's done...  Imagine having 5+ years to just extend an all time record...  Amazing accomplishment.
6912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Call of duty tournament on: November 13, 2021, 10:30:21 PM
Which Call of Duty?  Cold War or Vanguard?  I've been playing a bit of multiplayer on Vanguard but where I really get enjoyment is the Outbreak Zombie map on Cold War.  I have a group of friends that plays this a couple times a week and it's a great time...  While my multiplayer skills might leave a little something to be desired, I look forward to the day when the zombie experience opens up to more simultaneous players at a time that could enable some sort of tournament.

One thing that has been extremely disappointing to me about the crypto market is how long it's taking to get things like NFTs into games and allow betting with cryptocurrencies.  It's such an obvious next level partnership that will change the world, yet instead of Call of Duty allowing for betting with Bitcoin, the best we have is clunky metaverses with roblox style gaming.  I'm happy to see any progress, but the big boys of development really need to step in and take the reigns.  The best developers in the world still think Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are a fad, but I do feel like that is starting to change this cycle.
6913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 13, 2021, 09:05:01 PM
Not a very exciting day for NBA basketball. No nationally televised games and the only decent matchup of the day seems to be the Miami Heat vs the Utah Jazz. Miami has been playing pretty well so I’m not sure about them being 8 point underdogs, but the Jazz are on a mission this year. I think given their struggles over the last couple years this might be the last chance they have to go for it all with both Gobert and Mitchell on the roster.

Free stuff is always cool. Thanks for putting this on. I’ll take #9 in the freebie raffle.

As for the strange double doble copy/paste post… LOL. That’s actually grounds for having your account suspended here on these forums. I’ve never seen it so innocently explained but this is the sort of reason we can’t have nice things…
6915  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Somebody Recording You Now? on: November 13, 2021, 09:17:51 AM
Seems like that would be an awful lot of data to store. I think the NSA has other data filling their data centers, like every dick pic that’s ever been sent or copies all the junk emails everyone is receiving. I’m sure the government is capable of viewing live any spot on earth in a matter of minutes. I doubt they care about recording that information on a global scale though.

Feels like we’re back in consolidation mode after clearing some leverage out of the system. Im hoping for some sideways trading throughout the weekend and the start of another leg up next week. The big concern at the moment is the action on Tether and what that could mean. USDT was blamed for the rejection of the spot ETF and has had trading halted on Coinbase. Could have a market effect.
6917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 13, 2021, 06:18:03 AM
Lakers got clobbered tonight. Carmelo had his first bad game I’ve watched as a Laker. Russell shot well but didn’t get as many minutes as he’s used to. Dwight Howard got a few more minutes and did well. I’m seeing lots of people on Twitter calling for a new head coach…

Was surprised to see the Warriors blow out the Bulls. I may have underestimated how good the Warriors will be this year. They’re the best team in the league right now without 2 of their starters…
6918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 13, 2021, 12:58:22 AM
I think, that if before Iron Mike was interested in his career now he is only interested in money.

It's mostly about money for most people.

Why else would you put yourself through that?  These fighters are putting their health on the line.  Mike Tyson even said he used to cry before fights because of what he knew he was going to do to the other man in the ring.  He literally had a traumatizing moment before every fight that most kids today would probably be seeking PTSD medication for.  It isn't something he wanted to do or enjoyed.  He hated hurting people and talks about it quite openly nowadays.  Now that Mike has become a serious businessman and could use funds for investing in himself, this sort of fight is like a lifeline for him.  It better be about money, because I am a huge fan of Mike and want to see him have all the success in the world and for him, the future isn't in the boxing ring, it's in the boardroom.
6919  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tesla accepting Bitcoin payments and ..... Doge ? on: November 13, 2021, 12:52:49 AM
So it does look like Tesla is still working on their crypto payment system.  I was surprised to see they updated the code on the page once this tweet was made.  I figured this was just hangover stuff from when they were playing around with accepting crypto.  It seems like maybe they're getting ready to open the floodgates again.  Hopefully just in time for the perfect December storm we see every 4 years.

I think the Doge stuff is a stunt and I couldn't care less about it, but I'd like to see Bitcoin being accepted.  In fact, I'd probably buy a model 3 next month if it were accepted (not that I'd get it anytime soon).
