Some media shows that bitcoin can be the next weapon to control the world economy. i think it is true and it will be seen soon.
Well, I don't believe so because bitcoin is not structurally created for the same. Bitcoin has created a parallel economy which thrives in the online environment. However, we still use fiat to measure the power of bitcoin. Bitcoin can be a massive game changer for the world economy only if it made legal by the governments around the world. But that's a distant dream and will not happen anytime soon. |

And yet they still try to persuade folks not to buy and trade in Bitcoin ( even if they're doin' it !! ) . As James Dimon, JP Morgan's CEO said: " if I were a thief in Ecuador, I'd choose Bitcoin for sure, only in that case: Anyway, Bitcoin is a fraud that will blow up".
How can you trust someone who was involved in one of the biggest fraud ever seen such as 2008's and not found guilty ?
We don't know how many BTC they bought, but this time they cannot control the system. Like no-one does.

I am really not sure about the news of JPM CEO Jemie. I think, few days back, he said that "Bitcoin is a scam, worst than Tulip bulb". With this statement and along with the news of China banning ICO and exchanges, drag down the price of bitcoin. However, people like me who believed in bitcoin had an opportunity to buy it at a cheaper price. So the information you shared, I doubt about its truthfulness. But it si also possible that it was a clever business strategy. They started investing in bitcoin when the price was low and the statement was made just make the bitcoin price lower. But it is now clear that no power can destroy bitcoin. It is like a pheonix. It will rise again and again. |

Good news.BTC price is recovering and its now $3,390.I think the panic drama has ended and ray of hope is seen once again.

Agreed! I have always trusted bitcoin and didn't sell any single coin during this time. I knew it was bound to be back. My only regret is that, I couldn't buy during the dip. A big amount of ETH transfer is stuck from C-cex since last two days and they are still working on my ticket. If I had that fund with me, I would have converted all in to bitcoin at the lower price. But I am truly happy that people have believed bitcoin and its potential. It's again proved that China or JPM CEO can't alone make a mjaor impact which can last longer. Initially the market was bad after the series of events, but recovery looks good. I am sure, the price will be even higher this time. |

Ok, so if we are to believe the hype, the Chinese are dumping like crazy, and also many other weak hands. So question is, who is buying this up? Surely the smart money has held on till around the $3000 level before jumping in. So who/why is anyone actually buying over the last few days?
That's very much true, at least at the current context. A massive worldwide panic has been playing a big role behind the recent slide in price but I think the situation will soon be better and it's already started showing the sign of it. Bitcoin is now up by 12% and holding at 3650 USD level. So it is definitely a good sign for us. The recent events actually gave investors a very good opportunity to buy bitcoin at a very low price. Those who are lucky, hoarded like anything for the future and already started making profit. I just hope, the price holds its strength now and move to the upwards direction. |

That kind of attack is very much expected from a banker like him because bitcoin possess a threat to them. Today bitcoin's market cap is around 64 billion USD. If we didn't have a crypto currency, that money would have landed to the organized and regulated banking system, at least the majority of it. But due to the presence of bitcoin, banks lost that opportunity. So no wonder, they will attack and try to demoralize us.
However, it has affected us initially, but looking at the market now, we can understand that bitcoin has started gaining public trust and invest again and the price constantly rising now. I am sure, this time, bitcoin will break its own record. Just wait for it and please don't get demoralized by any banker. They will try this again just out of jealousy. Ignore!

Its neither Etherum nor ripple or waves. It is a payment processor very similar to payza or paypal that deals in usd, eur or gold ozs only. |

I won't be surprised if it is a well organized and pre-planned attack on bitcoin. It is also very possible that the coordination is done by the organized financial institutions to bring down the price of bitcoin and to make many people turn their head out of bitcoin. Bitcoin is a big threat to the banks because if bitcoin doesn't exist, the market cap of 65 billion USD would have landed in to bank's hand. There's business maths behind the attack and all happened in a series.
However, I still believe that a lot of people like still believes in bitcoin still holding on to their bitcoin savings for good. We have to stay positive and strong to take bitcoin out of this situation.

Tough time ahead of us. China has banned ICO and now exchanges. USA is not planning to ban bitcoin entirely but it may happen that a person will have report its holdings to the government to use the bitcoin. JPM CEO mentioned bitcoin as a scam. All these news are affecting bitcoin and also the entire crypto currency market in a big way. The result is the falling prices worldwide.
Two days back the market cap of bitcoin was 65 billion USD and not it is 54 billion. 11 billion USD just wiped out from the market. However, this also gives us the opportunity to buy bitcoin at a lower price. People like me, who believed in bitcoin, should make the full use of this opportunity as it may come back again. Think and stay positive!

I follow many methods to invest in bitcoin. First what ever I earn online, I invest it in to bitcoin and ETH. I have been investing in bitcoin since long, but recently started with ETH seeing the technological superiority as a payment processor. However, I am not a short term investor, I think of long term investment. Probably for another 5+ years. So for me, bitcoin's current price is low for investment and after the recent dip, it gave me the chance to average out my buying price. Secondly, I am a trader as well. I mostly trade during the weekends and don't use many pairs to trade. I mostly trade around bitcoin and USD pair. Whatever I earn from trading, goes in to my savings. I have a day job, so I am not dependent on my bitcoin earnings. So whatever I earn goes straight in to my savings for the future. |

Jemie, the CEO of JPM Chase belongs to the organized financial powerhouse. He will continue criticizing bitcoin even more. However, I am wondering why people are panicking? They must know that bitcoin has become a threat to the organized financial institutions and they will try to show us down to survive this challenge. We should have taken it much more lightly. It's sad that crypto people are taking it vary seriously.
However, the other side of the story is we now have a golden opportunity to buy bitcoin at $3800 level, which may not come again. I don't see that bitcoin is going below $3700 in any way because we have now survived the first attack of negativity. IT won't get down further. Don't wait for bitcoin to come down to $3000 level, because that's not going to happen. If you want to invest, it is the best time.

Dear Bitcointalk community, we all love Bitcoin because it has some great features, but what will happen when another cryptocurrency will be used as much as Bitcoin? Mainly because it has all the things Bitcoin offers but better? I wrote an article about this idea on Steemit and I would like to hear the opinion of some Bitcoinveterans. But I don't see that happening soon. ETH is technologically much more superior than bitcoin and is the closest contender of bitcoin as on date. Not in the price but in the market cap definitely. I have recently started using ETH so I have started to understand the technological aspects of it as well. ETH is better than bitcoin as a payment processor. However, if you compare bitcoin and ETH as an investment asset. Bitcoin beats ETH. The kind of return bitcoin has given to its investors since last few years, was huge and none could offer the same to their investors. So every currency has its own pros and cons. As of now, if I have 100 USD to invest, I will put $60 in bitcoin and rest $40 in ETH. |

That's not good news for bitcoin holders worldwide. If it is implemented in USA, then the rest of the world will follow suit and in result we may loose a lot of bitcoin investors. Which can further bring down the bitcoin price. Government's intervention in things like bitcoin is not good. Government usually wants to control everything. They don't want to see that many people are living a decent life with out their assistance. The moment governments step into anything like this, it will be ruined. Probably they are facing major pushes from the organized financial institutions who have funded the last election. |

It's not about the China exchange ban. I believe it has caused due to the statement of the JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon. he has referred that bitcoin is a scam bigger than Tulip Bubble and that caused panic around the market.
